Abstract

This study aims to systematically describe the names, patterns, and motifs of kerawang Gayo applied to the keni Gayo Statue in Central Aceh Regency, as well as to explain the contribution of this statue to cultural preservation and the strengthening of Gayo community identity. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, data sources were obtained through observation, documentation and interviews with seventeen informants, in addition, data were also obtained through libraries, theories and other literature. The data obtained were summarized, described between categories and concluded. There are six main motifs applied to the Gayo keni statue, such as emun berangkat, saraq opat, tali mestike, pucuk rebung, bunge lawang, and emun beriring. Each motif is applied in a structured manner, adhering to the aesthetic principles and cultural values of the Gayo people.The research findings reveal that the keni Gayo statue serves not only as an aesthetic element in public space but also as an effective medium for cultural communication. The statue fosters a sense of identity, strengthens social solidarity, and nurtures collective pride among the community. Through its presence in open spaces, the statue plays a significant role in introducing cultural values to younger generations and reinforcing local cultural narratives amid globalization. A model like the keni Gayo statue can serve as an inspiration for efforts to reinforce national cultural identity through contemporary visual media rooted in local traditions.

Abstract

The process of creating this artwork is closely connected to the artist’s personal experiences. An emotional attachment to cats serves as a significant source of inspiration in the creative process. The primary aim of this study is to describe the creative process involved in visualizing cat figures as an artistic idea through two-dimensional artworks employing an assemblage approach. This creation process adopts Alma M. Hawkins’ method as a reference for the stages of producing collage-based works, consisting of exploration, experimentation, and realization. The exploration stage involves direct data collection through observation and literature review. The subsequent stage, experimentation, includes developing drawing patterns and beginning to experiment with the assemblage forms and techniques employed. The final stage, realization, encompasses executing the work according to the established design until the finishing process is completed. The distinctive characteristics of cats inspire collage artworks that utilize assemblage techniques, mixed media, and materials such as clay, tissue paper, and magazine cuttings. These artworks depict the daily behaviors of cats on 50 × 60 cm canvases. The final output consists of three pieces that portray various behaviors, myths, and beliefs associated with cat figures, which can be interpreted in relation to human life.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana sarana dan prasarana di SMA Cahaya Rancamaya Islamic Boarding School mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa.. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif. Setiap siswa termasuk dalam populasi penelitian ini kelas X sampai kelas XII dengan total 92 orang, dan populasi ini digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian tanpa memanfaatkan rumus Slovin. Teknik-teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dengan membuat kuesioner (survei), wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil uji regresi sederhana menunjukkan koefisien determinasi sebesar 0,772, yang menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif antara ketersediaan sarana prasarana dengan hasil belajar siswa. IBM SPSS Statistics versi 22 digunakan dalam metode analisis data. Hasil belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan infrastruktur dan fasilitas, maka perhitungan nilai T hitung ditunjukan oleh perhitungan uji T sebesar 20,166 dan T tabel sebesar 1,986 dengan signifikan 0,000 < 0,05. H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Perhitungan uji determinasi sebesar 0,819 atau 81,9%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 18,1% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti.
