Abstract

Driving circuit function as a source of voltage to drive an electronic circuit. Source of voltage (power supply) created using the switching mode with Flyback converter topology. Component used as the switch is Mosfet. Time to live (on) and off (off) controlled by the circuit mosfet Totempole to accelerate the process on or off of the switch with a frequency of 50 kHz generated by IC SG3524. Switching mode power supply with Flyback converter topology are made to produce a constant voltage of 87 volts. Abstract

Temperature changing has affected to the electrical load consumption. It has considered in the calculation of short-term load forecasting. In this study, ANFIS method was used to forecast short-term load using historical data of electrical load and temperature. From the testing process, the MAPE value has obtained during the procces for daily bunch from Monday to Sunday and Public Holiday is included, i.e. 8.567%; 5.013%; 5.341%; 4.214%; 7.741%; 6.635%; 6.875% and0.022689%, respectively. Abstract

Electric power is the basic human needs in life. Indonesia's electricity mostly served by a stateowned company that we know the name of PT. PLN (Persero), which energy sourced electricity generated from power plants. In the town of Teluk Kuantan Kuantan Singingi source of electrical energy obtained from the substation with an installed capacity of 2 x 30 MVA, in which the high voltage transmission line 150 kV supplied from the substation Kiliranjao West Sumatra Province which consists of 6 (six) Feeder which mostly caters to needs households and industry. Along withthe development of an area, it will have an impact on the amount of electrical energy requirements will result in the distribution channel spacing between plants and consumers increasingly distant. With the longer the distribution channels and the increasing burden on the Feeder will increase power loss which resulted in a fall in voltage. To overcome these problems need to do repair them with the installation of capacitor banks and enlarging the cross sectional area Conductor mediumvoltage air channels. Before the repair needs to be calculated by using the power flow ETAP Software 7.5. After calculating for the combined method between the capacitor bank and enlargethe airway cross-sectional area Conductor medium voltage obtained the lowest percentage of voltage drop at the level of 1.52% and the highest at the level of 4.92% of the voltage sent.Keywords: Voltage drop, feeder distribution network, medium voltage 20 kV

Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the energies that become a major part of human survival. Without electrical energy some human activities will be hampered such as trade, industry, education, etc. Within the area including Riau, the power system stability is very important. Power system stabilityare classified into three types, one of which is transient stability. This study aims to calculate and analyze the exact critical clearing time so that the system remains stable at the time of threephase symmetrical fault. The method used are fast decoupled method for power flow studies and the runge-kutta 4th order method to determine the rotor angle and critical clearing time using Matlab software. This study indicated that Riau's electric power system will remain stable if the critical clearing time is not more than 0.26 seconds.Keyword : Transient Stability, Three Phase Symmetrical Fault, Critical Clearing Time, Runge-kutta 4th Order Method

Abstract

Analysis level reliability of this study using methods the section technique. Objectives to be presented in this study provide information about reliability of the substation 6DN PT.Chevron Pacific Indonesia. By dividing the distribution network based methods of calculating level of reliability section technique, which impacts the perceived failure of the same component if the occurrence of the disorders that cause system outages. Step by step execution of this study include collecting data, performing calculations failure parameter, calculating the reliability index SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interuption Frequency Index). The calculating result obtained by using method section technique SAIFI = 2.272817955 time/year and SAIDI = 1.859914796 hour/year. With existing standard in Indonesia as SPLN 68-2 1986 has values SAIFI (System Average Frequency Duration Index) is 3.2 time/year and SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) is 21 hour/year, the index reliability of the distribution system substation 6DN still in the category reliable. With an international standards such as IEEE Std. 1366-2000 SAIDI reliability index value of the distribution system substation 6DN smaller than the value of SAIDI IEEE Std.1366-2000, for the value of reliability index SAIFI substation 6DN larger than value index SAIFI IEEE Std. 1366-2000.Keywords : Section technique, reliability, system distribution

Abstract

Household electricity customer is a sector that contribute significantly to affect the high peak loads. This is because in this period people began to turn on the lights, television and other electrical equipment to run its activities which affects the availability of electrical energy. One effort that can be done on the condition that the limited electricity supply that is by saving electrical energy usage by implementing peak clipping and strategicconservation of reducing electricity consumption at times of peak load use power tools are more energy efficient. This research explores the benefits of the implementations of peak clipping and strategic conservation to changes in load pattern and the potency in energy savings. The analysis was focused on the household load of television in Pekanbaru. Based on the calculation and analysis, with application of peak clipping and strategic conservation on the television can increase daily load factor to 12,87%. The potency of energy savings is estimated at 43,99% per day of work.Keywords : load pattern, energy savings, peak clipping, strategic conservation

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design and simulate a DC-DC converter that can amplify the voltage generated by the 14 VDC voltage source to be inputted to an inverter without a transformer to produce a voltage of 220 VAC. The voltage generated by DC sources, both solar cells and storage batteries is generally relatively low to meet the voltage's minimum value to be used as the input voltage for the 220 V inverter. A modified SEPIC converter topology is used by adding a secondary winding to one converter inductor called a coupled inductor. The inductor coupling is used to increase the voltage proportional to the primary to the secondary winding ratio in the coupling inductor. This converter can produce a static voltage gain with a ratio of 17 times without increasing the duty-cycle value. The converter modeling circuit was built and simulated using MATLAB-SIMULINK 2016a software. The SEPIC DC-DC design converter with the modification of the inductor coupling can produce an average output voltage of 247 VDC. Keywords: SEPIC converter, inductor coupling, high gain ratio

Abstract

This paper describes a method of modular artificial neural network (ANN) for identifying and locating short circuit faults in underground power distribution line at PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai. The underground power distribution line is modeled using ATP-EMTP software. ANN-based fault classifier made from ANN-based fault detection in different phases and ground which work in parallel. ANN- based fault locator made form ANN which is estimated locations of fault occurs for each different types of fault. The ANN-based fault classifier of fault was performed variety of the given input and The ANN-based fault locator was performed variety of the activation function type which is deployed in different layer. The study result shows 4 different sampling of voltage value as ANN-based fault detection input in different phase fault. In the another result shows 4 different sampling of zero sequence current value as ANN-based fault detection input in ground fault. The last result shows the activation function of ANN-based fault locator is sigmoid bipolar – sigmoid biner – linear in the different ANN-based fault locator. Abstract

Network development especially the substation can not be separated from the problem of area availability and load which is served on those areas. The placement of the substation should be located close to load centers, so it have network with a wide local area service. To determine area's load center of the next few years can be used with forecast of the long-term electrical loads using micro-spatial method, this method divides the load area into a view grid according to reign administration is the sub-district. This method uses datas related to electricity, socioeconomic, and demographic. In determining the grid peak load (districts) is calculated based on four groups of loads (sectoral). these are the household sector, industrial, commercial, and social. The approach taken in the micro-spatial method uses multiple linear regression model. To follow the trend of land use, then use the dependent variable with peak load's density. Results of peak load density is associated with the land use every sector, for peak load on those area. peak load forecast results for the city of Pekanbaru from 2015 to 2024 indicates a growth rate that varies every area from 4.3% to 20.9%, and growth of peak load average based on sectoral, are household sector 9.22%, industry 13.28%, commercial 7.95%, and social 9.39%. While the peak load of Pekanbaru City increased from 320.6 MVA in 2015 into 717.5 MVA in 2024.Keywords: Electricity load forecast, Micro spatial, sectoral.

Abstract

Reactor power losses in electric power networks can be compensated by capacitor bank. With a capacitor bank the voltage in the line keep in standard tolerance. In PT Chevon Pacific Indonesia, South Balam Feeder 1 with 13,8 kv radial distribution network and total load 4470 kVA is inductive motor of nod pump distributed at a number of dot with length 44.7 km. When The length of electric power networks longer, the problem is about size of capacitor and it’s located to get the minimum power losses. This case study will give one of solution with Algorithm Genetic Methode using software ETAP 7.0 and Matlab 2008b. The mounting points on 16 Z 14, SoBalam#155, 16 Z 73, SoBalam#142 and Antara#7 with capacity 600 kVAr and then system of voltage 95 % over the nominal voltage as the result.Keywords : power flow, genetic algorithms, reactive power compensation, power quality, capacitor bank.
