Abstract

The reliability of electric power system generation is a very important aspect of operation electrical power system because in operation of the plant that has been scheduled is not always able tooperate in accordance with the predetermined scheduling, there are have a lot of obtacles that can cause that plant will be fail to operate properly, both due to interference from outside and fromwithin generating system itself. Through probability value of the electric power system, it is obtained how much the continuity of operation from that power plant system with good quality.That is why reliability of the power system generation must maintain the value. In this article the calculation in finding the level of reliability of the generating system uses the recursive method ofconvolution which in this case is used to find the level of reliability of a private power plant system that exists in Riau Province. Analysis conducted using data for the last 5 years by taking thereliability index is Loss of Load Expectation (LOLE). Calculation in finding the reliability index of the generator system using software MATLAB and Microsoft Excel. In the search for reliabilityindexes at the generating system, it refers to international standard for the LOLE index itself, which is 0.1 days / year.Keywords : LOLE, Power System Generation, Reliability

Abstract

To ensure good generating system reliability, the presence of operating generating units or adequate power reserves in the generating system is very important. The availability of power reserves in the system depends on various factors, including the frequency of disturbances in generating units and the peak capacity required by the system. One example of a generating system is the Tembilahan steam power plant, which has a capacity of 2 × 7 MW and serves a peak load of 14.31 MW in 2019 until 2022. However, in that period, the reliability of the generating system, as measured by the loss of load expectation (LOLE) index, only reached 33 days/year, far below the standard of the State Electricity Company (Perusahaan Listrik Negara, PT PLN) 2021 to 2030 Electricity Supply Business Plan (Rencana Usaha Penyediaan Tenaga Listrik, RUPTL) of 1 day/year. To improve the reliability of the Tembilahan steam power plant generation system in 2027, an analysis is needed to consider the procurement period of the plant and the availability of land in the system. This analysis involves using the recursive convolution method to calculate the loss of load probability (LOLP)/ loss of load expectation (LOLE) index and the simple linear regression method to estimate the peak load in that year. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the addition of three generating units of 7 MW could improve the reliability of the generation system. The area required for these additional units was 2,030.91 m2 and the available land was still sufficient. After the improvements were made, the reliability index LOLE of the generating system increased to 0.078 days/year for the year 2027, meeting the standards for the reliability level of the plant based on PT PLN’s 20212030 RUPTL.

Abstract

Rice is the staple food of the Indonesian people. Rice is produced through a lenghty process. One crucial stage of the post-harvest process is the drying of rice. The decline in rice production occurs at this drying stage. This research designs a tool that can dry rice automatically in order to facilitate the drying process of rice grain. This tool uses a DHT22 sensor as a temperature and humidity detection sensor. The Power Window motor is used as a driver of the rice  rain stirring shaft that is being dried, while the Blower and Heater as a heater. This tool is equipped with NodeMCU as a microcontroller to send signals to the Telegram application on a smartphone so that status notifications on the LCD of this tool can be seen through a long distance. Testing of this tool is carried out on rice weighing 5 kg and 10 kg with a test time of 3 consecutive days. Drying is done in the morning and afternoon.  Rice drying tests in the morning for 5 kg of grain are 32 minutes, 41 minutes, and 45 minutes, then 45 minutes, 55 minutes and 55 minutes for 10 kg of grain.  In the afternoon, 27 minutes, 25 minutes and 29 minutes for 5 kg of grain, and 42 minutes, 38 minutes and 36 minutes for 10 kg of grain. The average grain shrinkage during the drying process in the test period was 7,5 percent for 5 kg of grain and 7,7 percent for 10 kg of grain ABSTRAK; Beras merupakan makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia. Beras dihasilkan dengan proses yang panjang. Tahapan proses pasca panen yang sangat penting adalah pengeringan gabah padi. Penurunan produksi beras banyak terjadi pada tahapan pengeringan ini. Penelitian ini merancang alat yang dapat mengeringkan padi secara otomatis agar dapat mempermudah proses pengeringan terhadap gabah padi. Alat ini menggunakan Sensor DHT22 sebagai sensor pendeteksi suhu dan kelembaban. Motor Power Window digunakan untuk penggerak poros pengaduk gabah padi yang sedang dikeringkan, sedangkan Blower dan Heater sebagai pemanas. Alat ini dilengkapi dengan NodeMCU sebagai mikrokontroller untuk mengirim sinyal ke aplikasi Telegram pada smartphone sehingga notifikasi status pada LCD alat ini bisa dilihat melalui jarak yang jauh. Pengujian alat ini dilakukan pada padi seberat 5 kg dan 10 kg dengan  lama waktu pengujian 3 hari berturut-turut. Pengeringan dilakukan pada saat pagi dan siang hari.  Pengujian pengeringan padi pagi hari untuk 5 kg gabah yaitu 32 menit, 41 menit, dan 45 menit,  kemudian 45 menit, 55 menit dan 55 menit untuk gabah 10 kg.  Pada siang hari yaitu 27 menit,25 menit dan 29 menit untuk gabah 5 kg, dan 42 menit, 38 menit dan 36 menit untuk gabah 10 kg. Penyusutan gabah rata-rata selama proses pengeringan dalam periode pengujian alat, yaitu sebesar 7,5 persen untuk gabah seberat 5 Kg dan 7,7 persen untuk gabah seberat 10 Kg.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengadukan pupuk cair secara manual memiliki kekurangan, yaitu rendahnya akurasi campuran hanya sekitar 50% sehinggga dibutuhkannya pengadukan pupuk otomatis untuk meningkatkan akurasi campuran pupuk dan air. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan perancangan, pembuatan, serta analisis sistem pengadukan pupuk otomatis berbasis mikrokontroler. Bagian dari sistem pengaduk pupuk dibagi menjadi dua bagian utama. Bagian pertama adalah komponen mekanik yang terdiri dari tangki air, tangki pupuk cair, dan motor pengaduk. Sedangkan bagian kedua adalah sistem kendali berupa mikrokontroler arduino untuk mengatur volume air, volume pupuk cair, dan lama pengadukan. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan bahwa keberhasilan pencampuran pupuk cair EM4 adalah sebesar 99,561%, sedangkan untuk pupuk hijau sebesar 98,551%. Sebagai kesimpulan, sistem fertigasi pintar yang dibangun dapat beroperasi dengan baik dan akurasi diatas 90%.Kata kunci: Sistem Fertigasi, Arduino, Pengadukan, Pupuk cair, Air ABSTRACTManual mixing of liquid fertilizers has drawbacks, namely the low accuracy of the mixture, only about 50%, so that automatic fertilizer mixing is needed to increase the accuracy of the fertilizer and water mixture. The purpose of this study was to design, manufacture, and analyze a microcontroller-based automatic fertilizer mixing system. The part of the fertilizer mixing system is divided into two main parts. The first part is a mechanical component consisting of a water tank, a liquid fertilizer tank, and a stirrer motor. While the second part is a control system in the form of an Arduino microcontroller to regulate the volume of water, the volume of liquid fertilizer, and the stirring time. From the test results, it was found that the success of mixing EM4 liquid fertilizer was 99.561%, while for green manure it was 98.551%. In conclusion, the smart fertigation system built can operate well and the accuracy is above 90%.Keywords: Fertigation System, Arduino, Stirring, Liquid Fertilizer, Water

Abstract

Di Indonesia, stunting adalah masalah kesehatan yang serius, terutama di kalangan anak balita. Kekurangan nutrisi jangka panjang dan kurangnya akses terhadap layanan kesehatan yang memadai adalah penyebab kondisi ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana akses kesehatan dan gizi seimbang berperan dalam mencegah stunting pada anak balita di Desa Karya Indah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mengumpulkan data dari observasi lapangan, wawancara dengan tenaga kesehatan, dan analisis program kesehatan lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa solusi gizi yang tepat, seperti makanan tambahan yang kaya nutrisi dan akses kesehatan yang lebih baik, sangat berperan dalam menurunkan angka stunting di desa tersebut. Untuk mencegah stunting, kader kesehatan dan keluarga harus berpartisipasi dalam edukasi gizi. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pendidikan gizi yang lebih baik di tingkat rumah tangga dan optimalisasi layanan kesehatan desa sebagai upaya berkelanjutan dalam pencegahan stunting.

Abstract

Rubbish is items that are no longer used by their owners and are typically discarded. Improperly managed or burned waste can have significant negative impacts. Environmental pollution is one of the main consequences of waste that is carelessly disposed of leading to contamination. Accumulated waste becomes a breeding ground for diseases, such as mosquito and rat infestations, which can carry various illnesses that affect humans. This situation can negatively impact the quality of life and the hygienist of the environment surrounding the waste. Therefore, it is essential to have a container to collect waste in Karya-Indah-Village to maintain a hygienic environment and protect the health of the people living nearby. This Community Service’s purpose is to provide rubbish-bins at the public service facility in Karya-Indah-Village. This activity has received full support from the village authorities. The availability of rubbish-bins, hopefully, will increase public awareness of the negative impacts and dangers of waste and waste burning on health, as well as enhance the community's concern for the environment and health. Thus, the Community Service Team from the University of Riau, together with MBKM Kukerta Unri students, has provided rubbish-bins in Karya-Indah-Village to improve the quality of life in the village.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Khairul Ummah 2 Pekanbaru, as an Islamic educational institution, faces challenges in managing academic data using a manual and conventional system. This system has caused issues such as limited access, data loss risks, and slow administrative processes. This community service aims to resolve these issues by implementing a cloud-based academic system. The method involves initial observation, needs analysis, system development, and the implementation and evaluation of the system at the pesantren. The results show that cloud computing technology improves efficiency in managing student data, lesson schedules, and attendance in a more structured and accessible manner. This technology also allows staff to access data flexibly from any device connected to the internet. Despite challenges in adapting to the technology, proper training is expected to overcome these obstacles. Overall, the implementation of this cloud-based system provides an efficient, cost-effective modern solution for Pondok Pesantren Khairul Ummah 2 in managing academic and administrative data.

Abstract

Khairul Ummah 2 Islamic Boarding School in Pekanbaru Indonesia faced challenges in maintaining its school server operations due to an unstable electricity supply from the state-owned electricity company (PLN). These power fluctuations resulted in hardware damage and disruptions to the academic management system. A hybrid standalone energy system combining solar panels and PLN electricity was designed and implemented to address this issue. The objective was to provide a stable and sustainable energy source to support the school server, which manages academic and administrative data on a cloud computing platform. The methodology involved feasibility studies, system design, equipment procurement, technical installation, and system performance monitoring and evaluation. The implementation results demonstrated that the solar panel system successfully reduced reliance on PLN, increased energy efficiency, and ensured server operation continuity. Evaluations also indicated that the system reduced server downtime by up to 80% and provided several hours of stable electricity during power outages. Implementing the solar-PLN hybrid standalone energy system at Khairul Ummah 2 Boarding School successfully enhanced the stability of the academic management system and reduced electricity-related operational costs. This system is expected to serve as a model for similar technology applications in other educational institutions.

Abstract

Keberadaan sampah menjadi masalah yang serius di berbagai daerah, termasuk di desa-desa yang sedang berkembang. Volume sampah yang terus meningkat, sering kali menyebabkan masalah lingkungan seperti pencemaran tanah dan air, serta penurunan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Pengelolaan sampah yang efektif memerlukan fasilitas yang memadai, termasuk tong sampah yang dapat mendukung pemisahan dan pengumpulan sampah secara efisien. Pengadaan tong sampah yang tepat merupakan langkah penting dalam memperbaiki sistem pengelolaan sampah, terutama di desa yang belum memiliki infrastruktur yang memadai. Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KUKERTA) MBKM Mahasiswa Universitas Riau (UNRI) yang dilaksanakan di Desa Karya Indah fokus pada pengadaan tong sampah sebagai solusi praktis untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Melalui program ini, diharapkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya fasilitas pengelolaan sampah yang baik, serta peningkatan kebersihan dan kesehatan lingkungan. Dengan menyediakan tong sampah yang sesuai, program ini bertujuan untuk mendukung pengelolaan sampah yang lebih efisien, mendorong partisipasi aktif masyarakat, dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan berkelanjutan di desa tersebut.

Abstract

Khairul Ummah 2 Islamic Boarding School, located on Jalan Gajah, Bambu Kuning Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, is equipped with facilities such as a mosque, madrasah office, teachers’ housing, dormitories, gazebos, and learning spaces. However, lighting in the gazebo area is still inadequate, limiting its use at night. Through this community service project, a solar-powered lighting system was designed and installed to support nighttime activities, particularly Qur’an memorization. The system includes a 12V 30Ah battery module, a 12V–24V 30A solar charge controller (SCC), 12V 30-watt LED lamps, and a 100 Wp solar panel mounted on the gazebo roof. During the day, the battery is charged via the solar panel, and at night it powers the lamps. Four lighting units were installed and donated to the school. Post-installation, light intensity was measured using a fluxmeter, yielding results between 173–245 lux. This range complies with Indonesian National Standard (SNI 03-6575-2001), which recommends 120–250 lux for reading or working areas. The lighting system is expected to enhance the comfort of students’ nighttime activities, particularly Qur’an memorization, which is more effective in a calm and relaxed evening environment.
