Abstract

The additional load that occurs in medium voltage feeders due to load growth that occurs over time results in the electrical system being no longer by its original design or even experiencing a decrease in performance. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the performance of the medium voltage feeder gradually. In analyzing the performance of a medium voltage feeder, the approach method is a method that can be used to calculate the voltage drop. the calculation of the voltage drop using the approach method is carried out by modeling the distribution of the load contained in the feeder, then calculating the voltage drop based on the load distribution model contained in the feeder. Based on the results of the calculation of the voltage drop using the approach method carried out on the gurami, salmon, and lele feeder at Garuda Sakti Substation, the voltage drop values obtained are 432.2 V on the gurami feeder, 1,160.2 V on the salmon feeder, and 1,134.7 V on the lele feeder. The calculation results are then compared with the simulation results of Etap 16.0, which has a voltage drop of 422 V on the gurami feeder, 1,206 V on the salmon feeder and 1,096 V on the lele feeder. The comparison results show that the error between the calculation of the voltage drop using the approximation method and the simulation results of Etap 16.0 is 2.41% on the gurami feeder, 3.76% on the salmon 3.53% on the lele feeder.Keyword: medium voltage feeder, load distribution model, voltage drop

Abstract

In the single line of electric power flow, there are a lot of things to be aware such as the capacity of system installation equipment and also the equipment will be utilized. This analysis aims to measure the extent of power transfer between subsystems Sumbagsel to Sumbagteng can be maximized by using extra high voltage of overhead conductor 275 kV. This study without breaking the boundaries of operation of the existing rule. The calculation in this analysis using software assisted with Newton Raphson power flow method to calculate several possible scenarios. The amount of maximum power transfer subsystem Sumbagsel towards Sumbagteng is 557,6 MW without operating compensator and the amount of power transfer by operating the compensator is 586 MW.Keywords: Power flow, Newton Raphson Method, 275 kV Sumatera system

Abstract

Reliability is an important parameter in electric energy distribution. The determination of recloser position has an important rule, especially in reliability of electical power system. Parameter used in reliability electrical power system is SAIFI (System Average Interruption Frequency Index) and SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index). SAIFI and SAIDI can be calculated from the outage time and the failure rate occurred in one year. The research is implemented in 20 KV radial line system on feeder 19 Bakti PT PLN (Persero). The optimization method is using genetic algorithm. The following steps are : data collection there is disturbance line, forming of the objective function SAIFI and SAIDI, simulation using MATLAB programming and analyzing the position of recloser. The results are necessary to add new recloser on feeder 19 Bakti on 9,01 km from PMT Out Going. The reduction of SAIFI are 35,748% and the reduction of SAIDI are 35,746 % . Abstract

This paper describes a method of Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for identifying and locating short circuit faults in underground power distribution line at PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai. The underground power distribution line is modeled using ATP-EMTP software. The first ANFIS is used to determine the type of fault such as single line to ground faults (A-G), double line to ground faults (A-B-G), double line faults (A-B), and 3 phase faults (A-B-C). The second ANFIS is used to determine the fault location. The input for identifying faults are the fundamental component of three phase currents and the zero sequence current. The input for locating faults are the fundamental component of three phase currents and voltages. The simulation’s results show that ANFIS is able to determine the type of fault with RMSE of A-G is 6,8840.10-8, A-B-G is 6,6182.10-6, A-B is 1,2309.10-5, and A-B-C is 2,6709.10-6. Furthermore, this method is also able to determine the fault location with RMSE of A-G is 0,0024, A-B-G is 0,0009, A-B is 7,3304.10-5, and A-B-C is 0,0161.Keyword : Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System, fault type, fault location.

Abstract

Radial distribution network has a load imbalance due to be connected directly to the consumer, so that the voltage and voltage drop is not the same thing for each phase. Several methods are utilized to analyze power flow such as; Newton Rapson and fast Decouple. The method uses the assumption of balanced load in each phase. In this study, the direct approach method will be analyzed for loads that are not balanced in the distribution system. This direct approach method have been carried out on feeders 20 kV Adi Sucipto PT. PLN (Persero) in Pekanbaru. The simulation results have shown the value of accuray with a fairly good average. The final results obtained are reflected in the value of Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 2.5% of the measurement voltage.Keywords: distribution system, direct approach, feeders, voltage drop, MAPE

Abstract

Pauh limo substation located in padang west Sumatra has one bank capacitor. This research of evaluate the effect of capacitor installation at the Pauh Limo substation when one of the generating units experiences a trip / disturbance. To find out how much influence the voltage correction due to the installation of capacitors to improve the voltage when the power unit operation fails which results in a voltage drop can be determined by making a simulation using ETAP 12.6.0 software. When a trip occurs in the Ombilin power plant, the voltage at each GI experiences a varying voltage drop. So that the voltage at GI LBALG has the highest voltage, namely 147.5 kV, and GI SHARU has a voltage of 146.5 kV. When the simulation results of the power flow are in normal conditions without the installation of capacitor banks at the PLIMO GI, the GI PIP substation has the highest voltage, namely 145.5 kV, Meanwhile, GI SHARU has a voltage of 144.1 kV which is the lowest voltage. The lowest voltage drop percentage is 4.09% in GI SHARU. Meanwhile, during normal conditions, with the installation of the INDRG GI capacitor, it has the highest voltage, namely 148.4 kV, and GI SHARU has the lowest voltage, namely 147.5 kV. The lowest percentage of voltage drop is 1.69%. Comparison of the GI voltage without capacitor installation under normal conditions and the ombilin trip GI LBALG generator operates in swing mode, so that the voltage at the LBALG GI will remain the same at the 147.5 kV level. Meanwhile, the GI voltage with the installation of the capacitor under normal conditions and the overall ombilin generator trip, the INDRG GI experienced the largest voltage drop, namely 147.3 with a voltage drop of 0.746775%. Abstract

Paper ini menunjukan teknologi pengukuran ketinggian BBM dalam tangki minyak secara otomatis kemudian menginformasikan keadaan ketinggian BBM tertentu ke telepon seluler pemiliknya melalui pesan singkat (SMS). Penerapan teknologi ini dilakukan pada miniatur tangki minyak berukuran mini berdiameter 26 cm. Ketinggian BBM dalam tangki minyak diukur menggunakan sensor jarak Ultrasonic PING. Sinyal dari sensor PING diumpankan ke modul mikrokontroler Arduino Uno untuk dilakukan pengaturan dan pemprosesan data. Selanjutnya informasi hasil pengolahan data ditampilkan di layar LCD.  Pada ketinggian BBM tertentu yang menjadi perhatian khusus, informasi dikirim ke pemiliknya dengan teknologi informasi berupa pesan singkat (SMS). Teknologi informasi dibangun dengan menggunakan modul GSM yang terhubung dengan Arduino Uno. Selanjutnya informasi dari modul GSM dikirim melalui jaringan GSM ke telepon seluler pemilik. Hasil pengujian dari pengukuran ketinggian BBM dalam miniatur tangki minyak hingga 25 cm memiliki akurasi 100%. Akurasi pengukuran ini berkurang pada ketinggian BBM di atas 25 cm. Secara keseluruhan pengukuan ketinggian BBM dalam tangki minyak ini memliki akurasi sebesar 97,9%. Teknologi informasi dan pengukuran otomatis yang dirancang mampu bekerja dengan baik.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe hijab sewing skills training program is seen as a strategic educational skill to be implemented for women because hijab sewing can be applied for their own needs or become a side business. This skill, if properly trained and mastered, can become a form of business that can help the family economy and create jobs for the community. The village community service activities were carried out in Bunsur Village, Sungai Apit Subdistrict, Siak Regency, Riau Province with the target audience is the housewives of the village. They have given basic knowledge in choosing materials for the hijab. Then skills trained was held, starting how to make pet and headscarves, cutting fabrics according to the patterns that have been made, and sewing headscarves with various existing patterns. After the stitches are finished, then an examination of the results of the stitches so that they are suitable for sale and market. Keywords: Bunsur Village, home industry, sewing training, hijab  ABSTRAKProgram pelatihan keterampilan menjahit jilbab dipandang sebagai sebuah skill pendidikan yang strategis untuk dilaksanakan bagi wanita karena menjahit jilbab dapat diaplikasikan untuk kebutuhan sendiri ataupun menjadi usaha sampingan. Keterampilan ini bila dilatih dan dikuasai dengan baik dapat menjadi bentuk usaha yang dapat membantu perekonomian keluarga dan penciptaan lapangan kerja bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat desa ini dilaksanakan di Desa Bunsur Kecamatan Sungai Apit Kabupaten Siak Propinsi Riau dengan khalayak sasarannya adalah Ibu-ibu rumah tangga desa tersebut. Mereka diberi pengetahuan dasar dalam memilih bahan untuk jilbab. Kemudian diadakan pelatihan keterampilan, mulai cara membuat pola pet dan jilbab, memotong kain sesuai dengan pola yang sudah dibuat, dan menjahit jilbab dengan bermacam pola yang telah ada. Abstract

Generally, solar PV Panel is constructed at fix tilted angle at different locations, such as: street light poles, rooftops, residential buildings, and canopy. The energy production from solar PV generation system is vary and influenced by site (location) and weather parameters. Solar PV generation analyzed in this research is Dual Axis Sun Tracker (DAST) Solar PV Generation. Dual axis sun tracker is a system controller to ensure solar PV panel following the sun path.  Furthermore, energy production from DAST-based solar PV generation were measured and collected using energy meter as well as by using automatic weather station for the weather parameters. From these measrument data, it can be correlated the influence of weather parameters to the energy production from DAST PV generation system. The correlation between weather parameters and energy production are analyzed by statistical analysis using SPSS software and multiple linear regression models. From the results and analysis, it can be shown the amount of energy production from DAST-based solar PV Generation are influenced by weather parameters, namely: temperature, humidity, ultraviolet radiation, and solar radiation with significant level up to 98.2%.

Abstract

Steam Power Plant is a widely applied electrical energy generation system.  The limitation of fossil fuels has spurred us to find alternative fuels.  One alternative fuel that can be used in PLTU is biomass.  Coconut coir is a biomass that has the potential to become an alternative fuel which is abundantly available in Indragiri Hilir district, especially in the Pulau Burung sub-district.  This study aims to calculate the electrical power generated from the utilization of coconut fiber as an energy source in Steam Power Plants. The method used in this research is to process quantitative data from coconut fruit production to obtain the availability of coconut fiber, generated calorific value, steam turbine output work and generated electrical energy. The results showed that the availability of coconut fiber with an annual average value of  1,058.405 kg/hour. The heat value from burning one kilogram of coconut fiber was 16,767.2967 kJ / kg. Using calculations, two steam power plant of electrical system designs were obtained, where the output power of the first unit generator was 647,7053 kW and the output of the unit two generating system is 289,2458 kW with a total electric power generated by the PLTU of 936.9511 kW.
