Abstract

This study aims to improve students reading skills using interactive multimedia for the first grade of elementary school. This study is used classroom action research (CAR) by Kemmis & Taggart model design. The research participants were 18 first-grade students of elementary school. Data collection was used observation and performance assessments in the form of preliminary reading practice. The findings demonstrated that interactive media might help first-grade elementary school enhance their early reading abilities. The average value before being given action of 59.7%, which is an increase in early reading skills, can be noted. The average value before being given action was 59.7%, which is in the sufficient group; then climbed in the first cycle to 73.6 percent, which is in the good category; then increased again in the second cycle to 93.1 percent, which is in the very excellent category. As a result, this study may be considered a success because the success markers established in cycle II were satisfied.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini guru tidak hanya menyuasai materi saja tetapi harus mampu memahami dan mengetahui metode yang akan digunakan pada saat proses kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM) berlangsung guna meningkatkan tingkat keterpahaman peserta didiknya. Adapaun tujuan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) untuk mengetahui informasi mengenai keterampilan guru dalam menerakan langkah-langkah metode demonstrasi, (2) untuk mengetahui informasi Pengetahuan dan pemahaman guru SDN Inpres Tawali terhadap metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung, (3) untuk mengetahui informasi mengenai perkambangan siswa dan siswi setelah penerapan metode demonstrasi. Jenis penelitian ini, menggunakan Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi yang diperoleh dari data tentang nama-nama narasumber di sekolah. Instrument penelitian ini berupa data alat pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara berdasakan Tanya jawab mendalam kepada sasasaran dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data kualitatif diperoleh dari reduksi data, penyajian data (display data) kesimpulan data (verifikasi data). pengujian keabsahan data diperoleh dari trianggulasi sumber, trianggulasi pengumpulan data, dan trianggulasi waktu. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan metode demonstrasi dapat mudah meningkatkan pemahaman atau pengetahuan siswa dan siswi secara cepat dan rasional. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya data peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan metode demonstrasi dilakukan.

Abstract

The study aims at designing the stakeholders on the Guide book of vocabulary and grammar of English list for junior high school students. The background relied on the fact of implementing the 2013 curriculum. The students empirically had difficulty in facing the English examination since a lot of vocabulary was not well-instructed and issued at the test items. The list of vocabulary was difficult to find, and the grammar points were not complete, which determined the reading difficulty. Utilizing a descriptive-quantitative research design, a survey with open-ended questions and a focused-group discussion was done in terms of stakeholders, particularly students, teachers, and assessment instrument involvement. The findings showed that the deliberation included adding and deleting a few parts for improvement purposes, in which they had approved the one designed and presented. The finished product focused on the most important aspects of the vocabulary class, such as the characteristics of the vocabulary glossary, instructions for the guidebook use, and grammar list for the seventh- and eighth-graders. This guidebook serves as a model for the empirical learning circumstance, although it cannot be generalizable.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan karakter dipercaya mampu menjadi penyelesaian berbagai masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) merupakan rumusan pendidikan karakter terkini di Indonesia di mana peserta didik diharapkan mampu mengembangkan enam profil pelajar Pancasila: (1) Beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan YME, dan berakhlak mulia, (2) Berkebhinekaan global, (3) Bergotong royong, (4) Mandiri, (5) Bernalar kritis, dan (6) Kreatif. Metode pelaksanaan P5 adalah pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project-based learning) di mana siswa diharapkan bisa mendapatkan pengalaman belajar informal melalui struktur belajar yang fleksibel (dibanding pembelajaran formal di dalam kelas), pembelajaran yang interaktif, dan berinteraksi secara langsung dengan lingkungan di sekitarnya untuk memperoleh berbagai kompetensi yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kegiatan P5 yang diadakan mampu menampakkan atau menanamkan keenam profil pelajar Pancasila itu. Metode penelitian dan pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Peserta penelitian ini adalah kedua puluh dua siswa kelas dua SD Srepeng, Semanu, Gunung Kidul yang mengikuti program P5 pengurangan sampah plastik dengan cara mengolah sampah botol plastik menjadi tempat pensil sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama aktivitas para peserta menunjukkan keenam profil pelajar Pancasila yang diharapkan. Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkankompetensi bahasa Inggris siswa SMP. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan oleh Prodi Pendidikan Dasar danManajemen Pendidikana bekerja sama dengan siswa SMP Padukuhan Ngelosari Srimulyo Piyungan padahari Kamis, 19 Januari 2023. Kegiatan dilaksanakan secara luring di Padukuhan Ngelosari SrimulyoPiyungan. Adapun peserta kegiatan yaitu siswa SMP Padukuhan Ngelosari Srimulyo Piyungan.Pelaksanaan kegiatan diawali dengan pemaparan materi oleh masing-masing 2 narasumber, dilanjutkan sesipembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk siswa SMP menggunakan Canva oleh mahasiswa Prodi PendidikanDasar dan Manajemen Pendidikan UST yang telah bekerja menjadi guru di sekolah dasar, kemudiandiskusi dan tanya jawab, dan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi tanya jawab pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Hasildari kegiatan ini yaitu kegiatan berjalan lancar, cukup banyak manfaat yang diperoleh para peserta,diantaranya mendapatkan tambahan pengetahuan terkait pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk siswa SMP.

Abstract

The context of this study is the Society 5.0 period in the field of education. Children’s education begins in elementary school. All human potential must be developed via education if people are to develop into people who can uphold moral principles. As a result, the Indonesian government is creating primary school textbooks that may include moral principles in the teaching and learning process. This research looked at character education from Lickona's perspective in English textbooks at the 4th grAde Indonesian Elementary school. Descriptive qualitative research of this kind includes steps of data gathering, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-making. The result shows that English Textbooks for Fourth Grade Elementary School Students Curriculum Merdeka apply characters based on Lickona's perspective from all aspects, although not every chapter has each character aspect based on Lickona's perspective.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the role of the Three Education Centers on the social skills of children with special needs at SD Muhammadiyah Nitikan. The subjects in this study were school principals, grade III teachers, grade III teachers, special assistant teachers, parents of a student with special needs, committees, peers, and students with special needs at SD Muhammadiyah Nitikan. Data collection techniques used observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used Miles and Huberman which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that (1) the family environment plays a role in the first and foremost educators of children, guarantees children's comfort and happiness, and the occurrence of constant social interactions, motivates children. (2) The school environment plays a role in children's formal education that is directed and structured, providing facilities to support children's needs, as well as giving encouragement and support to children. (3) The community environment becomes a place for children's social activities, as well as supporting children's social skills. (4) Obstacles to the implementation of the three education centers are found in the children with special needs themselves, the lack of responsiveness of the family environment to reports from schools, the school environment that could not accompany children 100%, and the community environment who is less aware of the importance of social skills of children with special needs. (5) The efforts of the three education centers towards the development of social skills are the provision of adequate facilities, open-mindedness, and good communication between the three environments, organizing meetings to conduct cooperation in shaping children's social skills, giving examples, and instilling social skills during the learning process.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang klasikal masih cenderung dilakukan pada proses pembelajaran di kelas III SD Negeri Depok 1. Kegiatan belajar tersebut tentunya menjadi pandangan utama bagi kita untuk melihat hasil belajar peserta didik. Sekolah diharapkan mampu memberikan dan menyediakan fasilitas ataupun sarana yang dibutuhkan dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil analisis kebutuhan guru maupun peserta didik terhadap pengembangan LKPD berbasis STEM muatan matematika pada materi bangun datar di kelas III SD N Depok 1. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian research and development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap analisis kebutuhan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan penyebaran angket. Wawancara dilakukan dengan guru pengampu kelas III dan penyebaran angket kepada peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa sebanyak 89% dari 54 peserta didik membutuhkan LKPD yang menarik dan inovatif agar lebih menarik dan menjadikan peserta didik lebih bersemangat dalam memahami materi. 87% peserta didik juga menyatakan bahwa penggunaan LKPD berbasis STEM pada muatan matematika akan mempermudah dalam memahami materi bangun datar.

Abstract

This Community Service activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the competence of teachers to develop an interactive E-module-based assessment instrument and the use of interactive E-modules for MI Muhammadiyah Srebegan Ceper Klaten students. The Community Service activity was carried out by the Education and Basic Education Research and Evaluation Study Program in collaboration with MI Muhammadiyah Srebegan Ceper Klaten on Saturday, July 23, 2022. The activity was carried out offline at MI Muhammadiyah Srebegan. The participants of the activity were teachers and students of MI Muhammadiyah. The implementation of the activity begins with the presentation of material by each of the 2 resource persons, followed by an experience sharing session by students of the UST Research and Evaluation Study Program and Basic Education who have worked as teachers in elementary schools, then discussions and questions and answers, and continued with the practice of preparing learning tools. independently. The results of this activity are that the activity runs smoothly, quite a lot of benefits are obtained by the participants, including getting additional knowledge related to good learning tools, as a material for self-introspection to correct previously prepared learning tools, teachers are able to practice directly in compiling assessment instruments based on E-modules are interactive and students are able to use interactive E-modules.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the Techniques Employed by Basic Teachers in Reducing Pupils Undesirable Behaviours in Classrooms in the Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria. Recently, the issue of undesirable behaviors among children in our society today and the world at large specifically in schools has become worrisome and a major cause for concern for parents, teachers, educational stakeholders, and other related agencies in the field. This study adopted a descriptive type of research design. The study comprised all public primary school teachers in Ilorin South. Multi-phasic sampling techniques were used in this study that is, Purposive and proportional sampling techniques were used to select one hundred and eleven (111) qualified basic school teachers across the fifteen (15) selected schools while the fifteen (15) schools selected using simple random sampling techniques. The research instrument employed was a researcher’s designed questionnaire in which the test re-test reliability method was used to determine the validity and reliability of the instrument using Pearson product-moment correlation (PPMC) and a co-efficient of 0.93 was established. The findings from this study showed that Teachers’ years of experience, age and educational qualification have a significant influence on the kind of techniques employed by the teachers while teachers’ gender was found not to have any significant influence on the kind of techniques they employed. The recommendation was made based on these findings.
