Abstract

Volcanoes are mountains that are formed as a result of eruption material accumulating around the center of an eruption or a mountain formed from a magma eruption. Volcanoes are only found in certain places, namely in the mid-ocean ridge, at the point where two plates of the Earth's crust meet, and at hot spots on the earth where magma is released, on continents and in oceans. Indonesia is a country with active volcanoes formed due to subduction zones between three tectonic plates, namely the Eurasian plate, the Indo-Australian plate and the Pacific plate. The location of the research was carried out in the Soputan Volcano Area, by taking two samples, namely two different rock types in the study area. This study aims to determine the elemental composition of the rock and rock mineral types in Soputan Volcano. Using SEM-EDX and FTIR. The results of the research on sample 1 of the EDX device were Bromine, Silica, Tungstate, Gold, Molybdenum, Calcium, Iron, Iterbium, Lutetium. And in sample 2 of the EDX tool, namely Aluminum, Silica, Iron, and Cobalt, and the results of field research that has been conducted using SEM-EDX and FTIR, it can be concluded that: The elemental composition of volcanic rock in Soputan volcano has Br, Si elements. , W, Au, Mo, Ca, Fe, Yb, Lu, Al, Co. As well as the type of rock minerals, basalt in sample 1 and sample 2 is andesite.

Abstract

Pine Forest is one of the tourist attractions in Lahendong Village, which has geothermal manifestations in the form of hot springs, which shows that the area has geothermal potential. The purpose of this study was to determine the type of fluid manifested by hot springs in the Pine Forest using geochemical methods. The results of this study indicate that the temperature at the manifestation is 40°C while the degree of acidity of the pH of hot water has a value of 4 which indicates the acidity level of hot water is acidic. The type of fluid that exists in the manifestation area of hot water in the Pine Forest is the type of fluid sulphate water and sulfate water is a fluid that is formed at shallow depths and is formed as a result of the condensation process of geothermal gas towards near the surface. This is because the results of chemical analysis show that the element SO4 is the most dominant element and contains SO4 gas. Hot water that has a sulfate type is water that is formed at shallow depths and is formed as a result of the process of condensing geothermal gas towards near the surface. The geothermal gas with gas content (water and carbon) is basically dissolved in the fluid content which is located in the deep zone but separated from the chloride water. Sulphate water is usually at the boundary and not far from the main upflow zone.

Abstract

Pine Forest is a mountain located in North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The surface temperature around the Pine Forest changes from year to year. Whether the changes occurred significantly or only slightly, it certainly had an effect on the vegetation around the mountain. The purpose of this study was to determine the surface temperature and vegetation in the geothermal manifestation area around the Pine Forest based on the Remote Sensing Method. By using remote sensing can calculate the vegetation and surface temperature in the Pine Forest. In this study, the analysis uses Landsat 8 satellite imagery in 2020. According to the results, vegetation is negatively correlated with surface temperature, which means that vegetation and surface temperature are inversely correlated. The higher the vegetation, the lower the surface temperature value and vice versa, the higher the surface temperature, the lower the vegetation index.

Abstract

The background of this research is to produce professional teachers with digital competency through training in making web-based learning media. This study aims to analyze how effective the training on teachers' knowledge in generating web-based learning media is to produce professional teachers. This research used a quantitative study with the one-group pre-test/post-test design approach. This research was conducted by the 20 teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano who trained in making web-based learning media integrated by a project-based learning model (PjBL). Based on data analysis with the N-gain test, this study concludes that web-based learning media creation training on teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano has improved teacher knowledge in a medium category, with an average increase of 43%. The data has also been confirmed through a hypothetical test showing that the α0.05 significance value indicates that training activities are running effectively. These results indicate that training can improve teachers' knowledge, support a better learning process, and make teachers more professional with digital competency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of eleventh grade students at SMK Baramuli Airmadidi through the application of direct instruction model assisted by presentation media on the sense of sight and optical instruments. This research is a type of class action research. The subjects in this study amounted to 20 people. Data collection techniques in this study used test techniques with research instruments in the form of written tests. Data analysis techniques were quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the application of direct instruction model assisted by presentation media was proven to improve the learning outcomes of eleventh grade students at SMK Baramuli Airmadidi on the sense of sight and optical instruments. This can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes starting from the pre-cycle with an average value of 42 with a percentage of 0% completeness categorized as very low, then increasing in cycle I with an average value of 68 with a percentage of 45% completeness categorized as low, and increasing again in cycle II with an average value of 79 with a percentage of 100% completeness categorized as very high. This research is useful to add insight for teachers in terms of using learning strategies and learning media, so as to improve the quality of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The dynamics of the natural phenomenon of Lake Tondano become a source of student learning in understanding physical concepts packaged in innovative learning as an activity by applying the latest learning elements in the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of exploratory learning about the concepts and processes of physics in the dynamics of the natural phenomenon of Lake Tondano. The method used in this study is a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The research stage begins with giving a pretest to measure the students' initial abilities, then takes action (treatment) through exploratory learning and the next activity ends by giving a post-test. The research subjects are fourth semester students of the Manado State University Physics Education Study Program for the 2021/2022 academic year who are contracted for the Environmental Physics course. The evaluation results provide information that the average pre-test is 42.95 and the post-test results are 85.42. The average results of the assessment of science process skills are in good criteria (66%-79%). and very good criteria (80%-100%) affective assessment is in very good criteria (80%-100%). Obtaining N-gain scores from each student, there were as many as 10 students in the high N-Gain category with a percentage of 62.6% and as many as 6 students in the medium N-Gain category with a percentage of 36.8%. The result of the average N-Gain percentage of 16 students is 74.9%. The results of the study explain that students' understanding of physics concepts and science skills can be improved through exploratory learning on the natural dynamics phenomenon of Lake Tondano.

Abstract

The use of varied learning models will make the transfer of knowledge more effective and efficient. Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is the right learning model. Students are required to solve the problems presented by digging as much information as possible. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the process and results in learning force material. The type of research used in this research is experimental research. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The subjects in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, totaling 21 students. The instrument used for process data is a questionnaire and for student learning outcomes data is a test instrument in the form of description questions. The data analysis technique uses simple linear regression for the process and the results of the coefficient formula show that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the student learning process at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano with a percentage results of 51%. Based on the significance value: the Coefficients table obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the variable X (Problem Based Learning model) has an effect on Y (Student Learning Process). .And data analysis techniques for result using the test N-GAIN obtained the average value of the pretest is 17.77 and the average value of the posttest is 74.33. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has an effect on the process and results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Collaborative Learning Management on Moment of Inertia material for class XI IPA SMA N Tondano. This research uses a mix method with a mixed combination model of two methods, namely qualitative and quantitative. Mixed Methods research is a new approach in research, although some researchers state that this research method is not a new approach in research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA SMA N 2 Tondano. Retrieval of data in the form of test questions, interviews and documentation. The results showed the role of the components in the learning management function, namely the planning stage, the actuating stage, the organizing stage, and the controlling/evaluation stage. There was an increase in student learning outcomes after applying collaborative learning management in solving physics problems on the moment of inertia material at SMA N 2 Tondano.

Abstract

Kite is a traditional game that can be utilised as a learning resource. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of exploration of physics concepts in kite games through Thematic-Explorative-Democratic Learning (TED-L). This research used descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Siau Timur, in February 2024. The subjects of this study were students of class XII IPA SMA Negeri 2 Siau Timur, with the object of research being the kite game. Data collection techniques using exploration sheets, observation and interviews. The data collected will be analysed descriptively. Based on the results of the exploration of physics concepts carried out by students of class XII IPA SMA Negeri 2 Siau Timur on kites using Thematic-Explorative-Democratic Learning (TED-L), the results of the identification of science concepts namely Bernoulli's Law, Lifting force, Potential energy, Kinetic energy, Mechanical energy, Holding force, Rope tension force, Effort, Calorific, Kinetic friction force, Pressure, and equilibrium through six facts, issues, phenomena. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the results of the exploration of physics concepts carried out by students on kite games through Thematic-Exploratory-Democratic Learning (TED-L) get a good category from five groups based on six indicators and six facts, issues, phenomena Suggestions for further research For educators to pay attention to the ability to explore physics concepts carried out by students and for researchers to conduct research using other local wisdom themes such as tourist attractions, regional dances, or other traditional games.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes after participating in learning by using the application of the Scientific Approach to the material of bernouli's law. The method used in the research is the Classroom Action Research method through two cycles, namely the first cycle of two meetings and the second cycle of one meeting. The object of this research is class XI IPA students of SMA Negeri 2 Gemeh, totaling 16 students. The instruments used in this research are tests that are carried out at the end of each meeting and observation sheets. 16 students with the results of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor Learning Assessment at the first meeting the percentage of completeness was 31.5%, and increased at the second meeting to 62.5% while at the third meeting it was 93.75%. This shows that learning by using a scientific approach to the material of bernouli's law can improve student learning outcomes which can be seen in the final results, namely in the post test results of Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III..
