Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the problem posing learning model with an environmental approach to learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMA N 1 Likupang, North Minahasa. In this study using one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study used a cognitive description test in the form of a pre-test and posttest to measure student learning outcomes. The sample in this study was class X MIA II which amounted to 20 students. The average pretest score is 50 and the average posttest score is 84.25, the results of the data processing show an increase. The results of the N-Gain Test score 0.7791 which shows that there is an increase in student learning outcomes in the high category with a percentage of 77.90%. Based on this data, it can be concluded that the Problem Posing Learning Model with an Environmental Approach can improve student learning outcomes on the material of Newton's Law II

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal fisika pada materi hukum archimedes berdasarkan model polya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA NEGERI 1 TOMBATU. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 25 siswa kelas XI A 1 kemudian diambil 3 siswa untuk sampel wawancara yang terdiri dari 1 siswa berkemampuan baik, 1 siswa berkemampuan cukup dan 1 siswa berkemampuan kurang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melibatkan tes yang kemudian dianalisis berdasarkan tahap-tahap model polya yaitu Memahami masalah, Merencanakan pemecahan permasalahan, Melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah dan Memeriksa kembali kemudian dilakukan wawancara pada 3 orang siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Analisis data melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap memahami masalah seluruh siswa mampu memahami masalah dengan baik, yaitu dengan menuliskan diketahui dan ditanyakan pada soal dengan benar dan tepat. Pada tahap merencanakan pemecahan permasalahan semua siswa mampu menuliskan dan menentukan persamaan yang digunakan dengan baik dan benar. Pada tahap melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah dan memeriksa kembali ada beberapa siswa yang mengalami kesulitan

Abstract

There are quite a lot of high school physics books available, but contextual teaching materials based on local wisdom are still lacking in schools. Explicitly the 2013 curriculum provides an opportunity for schools and teachers to develop contextual and local wisdom teaching materials but their determination and motivation are still encouraged and encouraged. In increasing the competence and professionalism of alumni as prospective physics teachers, it is necessary to be equipped with experience in designing contextual regional-based teaching materials. Research on the development of teaching materials based on local culture Kolintang music instrument carried out for 6 months. To build competence as a whole and systematically, the focus of research (development of teaching materials) is: (1) determining the main elements in teaching materials namely attitudes (curiosity about natural phenomena), processes (problem solving processes), products (in the form of facts, principles, theory, and law), and contextual (application in everyday life). 2. Studying the previous teaching material to be developed seen from the aspect of breadth, depth, whether or not there is a concept map, a decrease in formulas (mathematical aspects), student worksheets (LKS) to make observations. 3 Testing of teaching materials in schools as a test of the feasibility of using teaching materials. The efficiency and productivity of students increases as reflected in the improvement of their learning achievements. The results showed that the formulation of physical concepts contained in the Kolintang music instrument play are the concepts of momentum and impulse, the concept of vibration, the concept of resonance, the concept of sound waves (longitudinal waves), the concept of sound propagation in the air / gas medium, the concept of period and frequency sound produced by each type of instrument, the concept of sound wave energy and the concept of the intensity of the sound waves produced by kolintang. Physics teaching materials integrated with Minahasa culture Kolintang tools for high schools are suitable for use in schools.

Abstract

Physics learning is currently still dominated by teacher centered that the principle of learning interaction is oriented to the transfer of knowledge. The research do to determine the application of discovery learning models in improving student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Kotamobagu for the subject of light and optical devices. The research method used was the classroom action research model of Jhon Elliot. Data collection was performed on 20 students of class VIII. Data analysis uses percentages based on mastery learning references. The results obtained showed that the application of discovery learning models can improve student learning outcomes and this is seen from the average value of the class. At meeting I the average value was 62, at meeting II 71.25 and at meeting III reached 80.25. The percentage of mastery learning also shows the same thing where at the first meeting the value of completeness percentage 65%, at meeting II 85% and at meeting III reached 100%. The results of this study concluded that the discovery learning model was suitable for use in learning physics in class VIII junior high school on the topic of light and optical devices

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has 40% of the world's geothermal potential, but only 3% was used.Research to determine the potential for geothermal distribution in the southern part of MountTampusu is by taking data directly using a thermometer, the purpose of this research was todetermine the temperature distribution at a depth of 0 cm, 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm by mapping. Thedata obtained is primary data, then entered into Microsoft Excel. In Microsoft Excel analyzed of themaximum, minimum and average temperatures. Then from the temperature data in the form oftemperature contours based on depth by using surfers 11. From the results of data processing usingsurfers, it was found that the temperature distribution in the southern part of Mount Tampusu variedin value, in the morning at depth 0 cm, 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm has value 23.5775°C, 22.67°C,23.315°C, 24.1025°C, daytime at depth 0 cm, 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm has value 27.5675°C,24.2525°C, 24.1825°C, 24.6925°C, in the evening at depth 0 cm, 30 cm, 60 cm, 90 cm has value24.5525°C, 24.3525°C, 24.2825°C, 24.605°C. The temperature pattern in the southern part ofMount Tampusu has a perpendicular pattern and slightly spreads to the northwest.

Abstract

The jigsaw type cooperative learning model is an example of a learning model that can be used by teachers in the teaching and learning process to improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to improve the process and learning outcomes of class XI IPA senior high school students on the topic of physics, temperature and heat by using the Jigsaw learning model. The method used in this research is experimental research using a one group pre-test-post-test design. This research was conducted through three stages. The first stage is to provide a pre-test to measure students' initial abilities. The second stage is giving treatment through a jigsaw cooperative learning model and the third stage is giving a post-test as a learning evaluation. The research subjects were high school students in class XI IPA at SMAN 2 Tondano 2022/2023. After the research data were obtained, they were statistically processed using SPSS 22.0 for windows. The average pre-test result was 5.32 and the post-test result was 85.21. Obtaining N-Gain scores from each student, there were 18 students in the high N-Gain category and 1 student in the medium N-Gain category, the total number of students who took part in the pre-test and post-test were 19 students. The results of this study indicate that by applying the jigsaw cooperative learning model to the physics topic of temperature and its measurement, student learning outcomes have increased

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of the application of environmental physics learning with the discovery learning model on static fluid material. The research method used is pre-experimental research with a one group pre-test post-test design. This research was carried out in three stages. The first stage is by giving a pre-test to measure the initial ability of students, the second stage is giving treatment by using an environment based physics learning strategy with discovery learning model. The third stage is giving a post-test to measure the learning outcomes of the students as well as an evaluation of the learning done. The subjects of this study were students of Class XI F1 at SMA Negeri 1 Remboken. Based on the data analysis conducted using paired samples T-test obtained sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05 so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that environment-based physics learning with the Discovery Learning model on static fluid material can improve the learning outcomes of students in Grade XI at SMA Negeri 1 Remboken.

Abstract

This study aims to simulate and analyze temperature rise due to the greenhouse effect through a simple experiment and numerical modeling using MATLAB. Two systems—a sealed glass jar (simulating a greenhouse gas-trapping atmosphere) and an open jar (control)—were exposed to sunlight for 30 minutes, with temperature recorded at 5-minute intervals. Experimental results showed that the sealed jar experienced a higher temperature increase (24°C to 28.5°C) compared to the open jar (24°C to 28°C), demonstrating heat trapping. Data were analyzed using MATLAB's Curve Fitting Toolbox for regression modeling and graphical visualization. Numerical simulations exhibited strong consistency with experimental data, confirming the model's accuracy in predicting temperature trends. The study concludes that MATLAB is an effective computational tool for simulating physics phenomena related to global warming while highlighting the urgency of environmental mitigation. These findings can serve as a foundation for developing applied physics experiments or small-scale climate models.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes of eleventh grade students at SMK Baramuli Airmadidi through the application of direct instruction model assisted by presentation media on the sense of sight and optical instruments. This research is a type of class action research. The subjects in this study amounted to 20 people. Data collection techniques in this study used test techniques with research instruments in the form of written tests. Data analysis techniques were quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The results showed that the application of direct instruction model assisted by presentation media was proven to improve the learning outcomes of eleventh grade students at SMK Baramuli Airmadidi on the sense of sight and optical instruments. This can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes starting from the pre-cycle with an average value of 42 with a percentage of 0% completeness categorized as very low, then increasing in cycle I with an average value of 68 with a percentage of 45% completeness categorized as low, and increasing again in cycle II with an average value of 79 with a percentage of 100% completeness categorized as very high. This research is useful to add insight for teachers in terms of using learning strategies and learning media, so as to improve the quality of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The background of this research is to produce professional teachers with digital competency through training in making web-based learning media. This study aims to analyze how effective the training on teachers' knowledge in generating web-based learning media is to produce professional teachers. This research used a quantitative study with the one-group pre-test/post-test design approach. This research was conducted by the 20 teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano who trained in making web-based learning media integrated by a project-based learning model (PjBL). Based on data analysis with the N-gain test, this study concludes that web-based learning media creation training on teachers at SMAN 2 Tondano has improved teacher knowledge in a medium category, with an average increase of 43%. The data has also been confirmed through a hypothetical test showing that the α<0.05 significance value indicates that training activities are running effectively. These results indicate that training can improve teachers' knowledge, support a better learning process, and make teachers more professional with digital competency.
