Abstract

Salah satu teknik budidaya jagung ketan adalah penggunaan varietas unggul dan penggunaan pupuk organik biourine kelinci. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode rancangan acak kelompok  dengan dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah varietas yang terdiri dari (V1) varietas Arumba, (V2) varietas Kumala, (V3) varietas Srikandi, dan (V4) varietas Rasanya. Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi biourine kelinci yang terdiri dari (U0) 0 ml/l, (U1) 150 ml/l, dan (U2) 250 ml/l. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah daun, luas daun, laju pertumbuhan relatif, laju asimilasi bersih umur berbunga, jumlah tongkol yang ditanam, panjang tongkol, berat tongkol, panjang tongkol tanpa tongkol, berat tongkol. tanpa tongkol, jumlah baris benih per tongkol, berat 100 biji, dan produksi ton/ha serta kandungan amilopektin.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas terbaik adalah varietas Arumba (V1). dan pemberian biourinee terbaik terdapat pada perlakuan (U2) 250 ml/liter. Terdapat interaksi yang sangat nyata antara variasi perlakuan dan pemberian biourine kelinci terhadap beberapa parameter perlakuan

Abstract

The use of medicinal plants as active ingredients in topical formulations has been increasingly explored as a natural alternative to synthetic antimicrobial agents. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate a topical cream containing a combination of ethanolic extracts of curry leaves (Murraya koenigii L.) and basil leaves (Ocimum basilicum L.) as a natural antibacterial agent against Staphylococcus aureus. The extracts were prepared through maceration using 96% ethanol, followed by phytochemical screening and antibacterial testing using the well-diffusion method against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. Phytochemical analysis confirmed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, saponins, and steroids in both extracts. The antibacterial assay showed that the 1:1 extract combination produced an average inhibition zone of 14.17 mm, classified as strong and exhibiting a partial synergistic effect compared with single extracts. Several oil-in-water (O/W) cream formulations were then developed to determine optimal physical stability. Formula F2 (2:1) demonstrated the best physical stability, with pH 6 ± 0.1, spreadability of ±5 cm, adhesion time >140 seconds, and viscosity of 4500–5000 cP, all meeting the SNI 16-4399-1996 standard. These findings indicate that the 1:1 combination ratio provides the highest antibacterial activity, while the 2:1 ratio yields the most stable physical characteristics, suggesting that both can serve as the basis for developing a safe, stable, and effective natural topical antibacterial cream against Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan tentang uji aktivitas antimicrobial dan kandungan senyawa kimia bunga cempaka putih (Michelia Alba DC). Proses pengujian dilakukan menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektroskopi massa terhadap Escherichia coli dan Staphilacocus aureus. Hasil Pengujian menunjukkan bahwa karakterisasi dari ekstrak n-heksana  menghasilkan 46 komponen kimia dengan 5 komponen utama. Ekstrak ini memperlihatkan adanya aktivitas antimicrobial/anti infeksi. Pada konsentrasi 50%, zona hambat untuk masing-masing mikroba uji Escherichia coli dan Staphilacocus aureus adalah 13 dan 30 mm, pada konsentrasi 20% adalah 12 dan 21 mm, pada konsentrasi10% adalah 9 dan 10 mm dan 5% adalah 8 dan 10 mm. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa cempaka putih terbukti dapat menghambat aktivitas dan bakteri penyebab infeksi, sehingga cocok untuk digunakan sebagai obat antiinfeksi. Abstract This article describes the antimicrobial activity test and the content of chemical compounds in White Cempaka Flowers (Michelia Alba DC). The testing process was carried out using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The test results showed that the characterization of the n-hexane extract resulted in 46 chemical components with five main parts. This extract showed antimicrobial/anti-infective activity, with each test concentration being: 1) at a concentration of 50%, the inhibition zone for each test microbe Escherichia Coli and Staphylococcus Aureus was 13 and 30 mm, 20% was 12 and 21 mm, 10% is 9 and 10 mm and 5% is 8 and 10 mm. This study concluded that the Michelia Alba DC was proven to inhibit the activity of bacteria in causing infection.

Abstract

Background: Program pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis pelatihan budidaya dan pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) dilaksanakan di Desa Cot Bagi, Kecamatan Blang Bintang, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan minat masyarakat dalam mengelola TOGA secara berkelanjutan. Metode: Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dalam tiga tahap: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner tertutup berbasis skala Likert (15 item, 5 aspek) yang telah divalidasi melalui expert judgment, serta diuji reliabilitasnya (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,84). Hasil: Hasil analisis pre dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan rerata skor sebesar +1,7 pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Kesimpulan: Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik mampu meningkatkan kompetensi warga dalam pengelolaan TOGA sekaligus membuka peluang pengembangan ekonomi berbasis komunitas, serta relevan untuk direplikasi dalam program pemberdayaan lokal di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Fintech menjadi salah satu inovasi penting yang berpotensi meningkatkan inklusi keuangan syariah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh penerapan fintech, kepercayaan terhadap keamanan transaksi dan pengaruh sosial media terhadap minat Gen Z menggunakan layanan perbankan syariah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS. Sampel sebanyak 74 responden yaitu Gen Z yang berada di lingkungan Fakultas Agama Islam. Hasil penelitian ini adalah secara parsial variabel penerapan fintech berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minat Gen Z dalam menggunakan layanan perbankan syariah, secara parsial variabel kepercayaan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat Gen Z dalam menggunakan layanan perbankan syariah, secara parsial variabel media sosial berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap minat Gen Z dalam menggunakan layanan perbankan syariah, dan secara simultan variabel penerapan fintech, kepercayaan, sosial media berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat Gen Z dalam menggunakan layanan perbankan syariah. Adapun nilai determinasi sebesar 0,505 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa 50,5% variabel penerapan fintech, kepercayaan, dan sosial media mampu menjelaskan variabel minat Gen Z dalam menggunakan layanan perbankan.

Abstract

Background: Calcium (Ca) is an essential mineral abundantly present in goat milk and plays a crucial role in bone and dental development. Data on Ca levels in local goat milk from Banda Aceh remain limited, although such information is important for nutritional purposes and the development of livestock products. Atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) is employed for mineral analysis owing to its high sensitivity and selectivity.Objective: This study aimed to determine the calcium content in fresh goat milk from three locations in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar and to evaluate any differences between them.Methods: This was a descriptive quantitative research with an experimental laboratory approach conducted in Banda Aceh in 2025. Fresh goat milk samples were collected from Gampong Tibang (GT), Gampong Kopelma Darussalam (KD), and Gampong Lamblang Manyang (LM) in April 2025. The samples were digested with concentrated HNO₃ and analyzed using AAS at 422.7 nm. Data were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA.Results: The highest calcium content was found in KD (0.892 mg/L), followed by GT (0.856 mg/L), and the lowest in LM (0.582 mg/L). The overall mean calcium level was 0.777 mg/L. One-way ANOVA confirmed significant differences among locations (F = 61.62; p = 0.0001). Conclusion: Calcium levels in fresh goat milk varied significantly among locations and were potentially influenced by environmental factors, feeding practices, and goat physiology. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing high-quality local goat milk products and supporting the utilization of functional foods.

Abstract

Background: Mangkokan leaves (Polyscias scutellaria) are a plant with a million benefits from its extraordinary flavonoid content. Flavonoids are a group of compounds that are attracting attention because of their broad potential health benefits and applications in various fields, including nutrition, pharmaceuticals, and medicine.Objectives: Determine the total flavonoid content of mangkokan leaf extract using n-Hexane, ethyl acetate, and 70% ethanol as solvents.Methods: This is an experimental laboratory study by determining the total flavonoid content of mangkokan leaf extract (Polyscias scutellaria) based on differences in solvent polarity using UV-Vis spectrophotometry and comparing its flavonoid content with the ANOVA comparison test. The research was conducted at the Biology Biostatics Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University, the Biology Laboratory of the Aceh Ministry of Health Polytechnic, the Chemistry Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University, and the Pharmacy Laboratory of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Syiah Kuala University, from December 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024. A sample of 1,5 kg of mangkokan leaves was obtained from Reuloh, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. The analysis carried out on the sample was phytochemical analysis and flavonoid content using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer instrument. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using the one-way ANOVA method.Results: The best results for determining the total flavonoid content of mangkokan leaves were given by the ethyl acetate extract solvent, namely 25,112 mgQE/g, followed by n-Hexane extract at 22,335 mgQE/g and 70% ethanol extract at 14,285 mgQE/g. The ANOVA test results showed that differences in solvents influenced the total flavonoid content of mangkokan leaf extract with a P value =0,00.Conclusion: The total flavonoid content of mangkokan leaf extract using an ethyl acetate solvent was higher compared to ethanol and n-Hexane solvents.KeywordsMangkokan leaves (Polyscias scutellaria), flavonoids, N-Hexane, ethyl acetate, Ethanol

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to strengthen community capacity through an integrated educational and participatory approach in Krueng Dhoe Sanggeue Village, Pidie District. The program involved counseling, hands-on training, and continuous mentoring, and was evaluated using a pre-test and post-test design. A total of 41 medicinal plant species were identified, primarily used to treat digestive disorders, hypertension, and cough. Leaves were the most utilized plant parts (35.5%), boiling was the dominant preparation method (31.70%), and oral consumption was the main mode of use (53.65%). Most plants were sourced from household gardens (43.90%), indicating strong local resource availability. The activity resulted in a significant improvement in community knowledge regarding the proper utilization of medicinal plants. However, challenges remain in dosage standardization, safety, and processing techniques. Therefore, sustained training and structured assistance are necessary to ensure safe utilization and to optimize the health and economic potential of medicinal plant use.
