Abstract

The research was classroom action research (CAR). The purpose was to improved student’s activeness and mastery of chemistry learning which concerned to colloid systems by using cooperative learning model type TGT (team games tournaments) at the XII grade of engineering major (TKJ) in SMK YAPIM Siak Hulu, district of Kampar, RIAU. Based on the result of research which accomplished into two cycles, I cycle and II cycle by applying cooperative learning model, particularly TGT (team games tournaments) type during chemistry teaching learning process could improve student’s activeness and score completeness of chemist learning the average presentation of students activity in I cycle was 54,59% (enough), meanwhile in II cycle was 63,52% (enough). The improvement of students learning activity presentation was followed by the improvement of students accomplishment in chemist learning at I cycle as 77,42% (STDS) and II cycle as 87,10% (STDS.).

Abstract

This research is an evaluation study with a quantitative descriptive approach that uses the Stake evaluation model. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the 2013 authentic curriculum assessment and to find out the obstacles experienced by the teacher in carrying out the assessment in the learning process taking place on chemistry subjects in SMAN 1 Benai 1. The subjects of this study were 3 chemistry teachers at SMAN 1 Benai 1. Data collection techniques are documentation, observation and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study uses descriptions and uses the percentage formula to determine the assessment criteria. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum authentic assessment on chemistry subjects in SMAN 1 Benai 1 obtained the percentage of implementation evaluation of 79.8% which was categorized as well implemented. The constraints experienced by chemistry teachers in carrying out authentic assessments are in the implementation of attitude assessments, the teacher feels difficulty in carrying out the assessment at the beginning of the semester precisely at the first 2 months to 3 months because it is not memorized by the names of students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran Course Review Horey (CRH) dengan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA di SMA N 1 Hulu Kuantan. Sampel diambil dengan cara cluster random sampling berjumlah 2 kelas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan soal tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji Nonparametrik Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) adalah 0,004 < 0,05 sehingga terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode pembelajaran Course Review Horey dengan metode pembelajaran Mind Mapping. Sehingga dapat diselidiki lebih lanjut perbedaan hasil belajar dengan memacu pada rerata nilai posttest. Hasil belajar kelas yang menggunakan metode CRH lebih tinggi daripada metode mind mapping.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar akan tampak jelas dari menurunnya kinerja akademis atau prestasi belajar siswa. Guru harus dapat mengidentifikasi kemungkinan kesulitan belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakterisktik learning obtacles (LO) pada konsep Termokimia pada kelas XI SMA. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 16 Padang dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 34 siswa kelas XI IPA dan 2 orang guru kimia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah butiran soal TKR (Tes Kemampuan Responden)lembaran observasi dan pedoman wawancara pada konsep termokimia. TKR yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 10 soal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian desain didaktis (Didactical Design Research). Penelitian dimulai dari observasi, wawancara, dan pembuatan TKR (Tes Kemampuan Responden). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan hambatan belajar siswa yaitu learning obtacle terkait connection, learning obtacle terkait conceptual, learning obtacle terkait construction dan learning obtacle terkait struktural. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil TKR (test kemampuan responden) pada pembelajaran termokimia.

Abstract

Dahlia is a floriculture plant with tuber that rich in inulin. Inulin is soluble in hot water and it will settle on cool temperature in alcohol. The inulin extraction to use hot water from dahlia tuber take from Bukittinggi of West Sumatra. Extraction result from 100 g dahlia tuber is 4% inulin (w/w dahlia tuber), such as inulin flour is white gray. As qualitative test with Seliwanoff and Nelson-Somogyi methods, that inulin positive contain of fructose and reducing sugar. This inulin can be converted into levulinic acid using acid catalyst at high temperature. Production of levulinic acid with variate reaction temperature from 130 – 170 oC. The reaction of inulin convertion is done in ampul that burned in oven. In this experiment, conversion of inulin to be levulinic acid is high 26,25% (w/w inulin) using acid catalyst of hydrochloride acid 1 M and heating 170 oC about 15 minutes.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the factors inhibiting the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, and to know what efforts in overcoming obstacles implementation of the 2013 curriculum.This research is a type of qualitative research with descriptive approach that takes the background of SMKN 1 Teluk Kuantan. Sampling refers to the technique of Purposive sampling with Respondents consisting of Chemistry Teachers, the representative curriculum. Curriculum and students of class X. Data collection is done by conducting interviews, participant observation, documentation and questionnaire. Data analysis is done by choosing, simplifying and transforming rough data that emerges from the written records in the field, so that it becomes more focused in accordance with the object of research. After the data analysis done then draw conclusions. Data validity is done by triangulation method with triangulation model of source and triangulation technique.The results show that the barriers that occur is the determination of KBM is sometimes difficult due to lack of labor and the lack of student interest makes it difficult to develop teaching materials oriented student center. Efforts to overcome this is the need for the availability of facilities and infrastructure such as the completeness of tools and practical materials and the addition of training curriculum 2013 in order to develop teaching materials oriented student center. Implementation of the 2013 curriculum in the implementation of learning, teachers have run the 2013 curriculum although sometimes do not adjust to the syllabus and RPP. Obstacles that occur is the method of learning approaches such as PBL, PBL is still difficult to implement because students have less literature and experience. Efforts are made teachers do various methods approach to create an active learning atmosphere and not saturate for learners, so they are more active in digging information. Implementation of the 2013 curriculum in the evaluation system, evaluation techniques used are formative and summative tests. The hindrance that occurs is that psychomotor assessment is rather difficult to do because there is rarely any practice in KBM. Efforts are made teachers classify learners in learning activities, assisted by individual assessments between friends, collaboration assessment with other teachers and the addition of tasks. Abstract

This research is the second research in the theme of Lesson Study-based Didactic Design. This research is based on the problem of learning difficulties and the low understanding of high school students on the concept of solubility and the solubility product constant. This study aims to make Lesson Design on the concept of solubility and solubility product constant in class XI SMA. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Singingi in class XI science and 2 chemistry teachers. The instruments used in this study were the TKR (Respondent Ability Test) questions, observation sheets and interview guidelines on the concept of solubility and solubility product constants. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a Didactic Research Design (DDR) approach. The research started from observation, interviews, and making TKR (Respondent Ability Test). The results of this study are the dissolution of the characteristics of the Learning Obstacle (LO) of students identified in the solubility concept and the probability of product being known. on the concept of solubility and the solubility product constant. Furthermore, the Learning Obstacles (LO) obtained were used to create online learning lesson designs during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lesson design used for teaching materials for teachers and a simple substitute for lesson plans

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the difficulties faced in developing wondershare quiz creator as an evaluation medium for HOTS-based chemistry learning on salt hydrolysis material. The approach used in this research is a case study. Based on the results of the data, the difficulties experienced in developing the wondershare quiz creator as an evaluation medium for chemistry learning were obtained, namely: (1) difficulties in finding questions that were in accordance with 21st century learning, because 21st century learning requires evaluation based on High Orther Thinking Skills (HOTS) (2) Lack of cost, time, supporting facilities in media development; (3) Lack of creativity in developing interactive evaluation media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in petroleum material in class XI IPA 2 Singingi State High School. The sampling technique is the cluster random sampling technique. The sample in this study was class XI IPA1 as a control class andclass XI IPA2 as an experimental class. The test instruments used in this study were content validity that was judged by 3 experts, item analysis and question reliability and analyzed using ANATES. Data collection techniques in this study were written testtechniques in the form of multiple choice with 20 items. To test the hypothesis is done using nonparametric statistics namely Mann-Whitney Utest. Based on the nonparametric test analysis results obtained sig. Value (1-tailed) 0.001 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected and HI is accepted. So it can be concluded that the learning outcomes using the PQ4R strategy are better than using conventional learning in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 2 Singingi on petroleum material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the cooperative learning type snowball throwing model on student learning outcomes in the reaction rate material in class XI MIPA Benai 1 High School. The type of this research is quasi experiment withnonequivalent control group design research design. The population of this study is class XI MIPA Benai 1 Public High School Academic Year 2018/2019. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, post-test and documentation. The final datawere analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. The results of data processing obtained the value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.005 ≤ α = 0.05. This proves that H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that there are significant differences in student learning outcomes in the reaction rate material in class XI MIPA Benai 1 High School after the implementation of the snowball throwing type cooperative learning model. It can be seen from the average rating of each class namely the experimental class with an average of 41.29 and thecontrol class with an average of 28.10.
