Abstract

Social media can be used to increase individual popularity, one of which is Instagram. Instagram can be used to increase individual self-popularity or increase self-esteem. The purpose of this study, namely to determine the relationship between the intensity of using Instagram and self-esteem in emerging adulthood. This research is a quantitative-survey research, with 259 students at “X” University as many as male and female participants aged 18-25 years. The measuring instrument used is the Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale and the Instagram Intensity Scale. The analysis used was the Spearman non-parametric correlation test. The results show that there is a significant correlation between the intensity of using Instagram and self-esteem on emerging adulthood, there is also a correlation between emotional attachment to Instagram and self-esteem on emerging adulthood. Thus the higher the intensity of using Instagram or the higher the emotional attachment to Instagram, the higher the self-esteem of emerging adulthood. The higher the intensity of a person using Instagram, the higher the desire or motivation of the individual to become more prominent.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi pelatih dan gaya komunikasi terhadap kinerja siswa, dengan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel intervening di The Bees Basketball Academy. Kompetensi pelatih dan gaya komunikasi yang efektif dianggap sebagai faktor utama dalam membentuk motivasi belajar siswa, yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja mereka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 120 siswa aktif di The Bees Basketball Academy. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan software SmartPLS. Variabel yang diteliti meliputi kompetensi pelatih, gaya komunikasi, motivasi belajar, dan kinerja siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi pelatih berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Gaya komunikasi juga berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar. Selanjutnya, motivasi belajar terbukti memediasi pengaruh kompetensi pelatih dan gaya komunikasi terhadap kinerja siswa. Artinya, semakin tinggi kompetensi pelatih dan semakin efektif gaya komunikasi yang digunakan, maka semakin tinggi motivasi belajar siswa, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan kinerja siswa. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya pelatih untuk terus meningkatkan kompetensi teknis dan interpersonal serta mengadopsi gaya komunikasi yang efektif dan inspiratif. Akademi perlu secara aktif mengembangkan program pelatihan pelatih dan strategi komunikasi untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan optimal siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Health Locus of Control and Self Efficacy with Mediation Adherence. The health locus of control measured is the internal aspect of HLC, powerful others HLC, and chance HLC. This research was conducted on people with type II diabetes mellitus. The data collection tools are an adaptation scale questionnaire by Damayanti and the MHLC scale developed by Wallston. Data analysis was carried out using Spearman’s Rho statistical techniques with the help of SPSS 26.0 for Windows. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that health locus of control and self-efficacy were not related to mediation adherence (r = 0.046; p > 0.05). the results of this analysis show that health locus of control and self-efficacy are not related to medication adherence.

Abstract

Dating relationship is time for individual get to know his partner before decide to get married or not. Therefore, dating relationship quality become important because poor dating relationship quality can negatively affect marital relationship quality. Prior researcher found that individual’s attachment can affect dating relationship quality and self-compassion can mediated attachment and relationship quality. The mechanism of attachment effect was also found to be mediated by self-compassion but this still needs further investigation. The objective of this research is to examine the role of self-compassion in mediating attachment and relationship quality. This research uses quantitative research method by distributing online questionnaire. Total participant of this research is 176 people. Mediation analysis in this research using PROCESS within SPSS. The result of this research shows that self-compassion cannot mediating attachment and dating relationship quality. In other words, individual’s behavior toward himself did not affect individual’s perception toward his relationship or his partner. The next researchers are suggested to do dyadic research, analyses using type of attachment, and examine deeper about self-compassion as the mediator variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of funnel marketing strategy, digital tourism, and consumer generation towards hotel preference in New Normal. This research is a quantitative study using SPSS 23 to process data. This research was conducted in DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. The sample collection technique used simple random sampling technique. The sample was calculated using the Slovin formula where 110 respondents were selected. The results showed that the results of the partial test (t test), there were three variables, namely funnel marketing, digital tourism, consumer generation had a negative and do not have significant effect on hotel preference, whereas in the simultanous test showed a positive and a significant effect on hotel preference and it was also found that that 45.9% hotel preference is influenced by other three independent variables, and the rest 64.1 % is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the importance of the recruitment, selection and training of employees in order to increase employee performance at PT. Budiman Sejahtera Development. This research is a quantitative study using SPSS 23 to process data. The sample collection technique used simple random technique. The sample was 44, calculated using the Slovin formula. The results showed that the results of the partial test (t test), there were three variables, namely selection, training of employees which had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while one variable, namely, recruitment, had a negative and significant value productivity, also found that 98.6% of the influence of the independent variables (recruitment, selection and training of employees) on employee performance and the 11.4% is influenced by other variables not examined.

Abstract

Fenomena quiet quitting telah menjadi perhatian serius dalam manajemen sumber daya manusia, terutama dalam konteks organisasi yang mempekerjakan generasi milenial. Istilah ini merujuk pada kondisi di mana karyawan hanya melakukan tugas sesuai kontrak tanpa keterlibatan emosional atau inisiatif tambahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara quiet quitting dan kinerja karyawan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif berbasis data sekunder. Data diperoleh dari laporan dan studi terdahulu yang relevan, seperti Gallup (2022), McKinsey (2023), dan Kim (2023), yang fokus pada organisasi sektor jasa dan industri kreatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor quiet quitting berada pada kategori sedang–tinggi (3,72), sementara kinerja karyawan tergolong sedang (3,41). Nilai korelasi Pearson antara kedua variabel sebesar -0,591 dengan signifikansi p 0,01, menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan. Temuan tambahan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar karyawan merasa kontribusi mereka tidak dihargai, bekerja hanya sesuai jam kerja tanpa motivasi lebih, serta mengalami komunikasi yang kurang terbuka dengan atasan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa quiet quitting bukan hanya persoalan individu, melainkan refleksi dari lemahnya sistem manajerial yang gagal membangun ikatan psikologis antara organisasi dan karyawan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja, organisasi perlu memperkuat sistem penghargaan, komunikasi internal, dan keterlibatan emosional karyawan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar perumusan kebijakan organisasi yang lebih humanis dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan generasi kerja saat ini.

Abstract

Generation Z is currently the largest consumer in Indonesia; thus their values and priorities could lead to changes in consumption patterns and societal norms. This study examined the influence of income, self-esteem, and impulsive buying behavior of H&M products in Gen-Z. This research was conducted using a quantitative cross-sectional with a predictive design. Research respondents were obtained through a non-random accidental sampling of 374 Gen-Z who had made unplanned purchases of clothes from the H&M brand at least once in the past month. Data analysis was performed using correlation and multiple regression tests. The results showed that income and self-esteem could be used as predictors of impulse buying behavior. However, the income itself showed no contribution when self-esteem was controlled. Research implies that monitoring self-esteem and using interventions to increase self-esteem could help control impulse buying behavior that individuals, especially Gen-Z, usually do.

Abstract

Infectious diseases are one of the top ten causes of death in the world. Antibiotic therapy is administered for infectious diseases, but if bacteria are exposed to antibiotics continuously, then the bacteria are able to adapt to the medication, thereby resulting in antibiotic resistance. This condition results in an increase in mortality, long hospitalization period, and increased cost of antibiotic therapy and health services. Adherence to using antibiotics may be influenced by knowledge and beliefs about them. This study aimed to understand correlation between knowledge and belief with adherence to antibiotic use at a private hospital in Sidoarjo. This cross-sectional study, the data collected in three months period, was conducted with a questionnaire for assessment knowledge and belief. A pill count method was applied for assessment adherence to using antibiotics prescribed by doctors. The study results show that knowledge of the respondents was adequate for 76 people (69.7%), belief was adequate for 74 people (67.9%), and adherence to antibiotic use for 79 people (72%). Regression analysis showed that the variable that significantly influenced the adherence of patients in using antibiotics was perceived threat (p-value = 0,029). Sex, age, education, income, occupation, and marital status have no contribution to antibiotic knowledge, belief, and adherence.
