Abstract

Diet is a method or effort to control the type and quantity of food consumed for a certain goal. Obesity is characterized as an abnormal or excessive buildup of fat that is harmful to health. Health education involves changing behaviors in a dynamic way, going beyond merely imparting knowledge or concepts from one person to another. The goal of this study was to ascertain how health education affected students at SMK Mahaputra Cerdas Utama in Bandung Regency's knowledge and attitudes regarding obesity prevention diets. The one group pretest-post test is used in this research method's pre-experimental study design. With a total of 125 respondents, proportionate stratified random sampling was employed as the sampling strategy. Test analysis using Wilcoxon. The results of the study of the knowledge variable are the p-value of 0.000 or <0.05. For the attitude variable, the p-value is 0.000 or <0.05. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an influence of health education on knowledge and attitudes about obesity prevention diets for students at SMK Mahaputra Cerdas Utama, Bandung Regency. It is recommended that students continue to adopt a healthy diet and increase physical activity that involves optimal body movement to prevent obesity.

Abstract

The general aim of this research is to determine the relationship between hand washing behavior with soap and the incidence of typhoid fever in children aged 5-12 years. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The research population was children aged 5-12 years in rw 01, Cikembar village, Cikembar sub-district, Sukabumi district, from August to September 2023, data were obtained for 98 people. The research sample was 98 children aged 5-12 years who were determined using total sampling techniques. Research data was collected using a questionnaire which was then analyzed using chi square analysis. The results of the study showed that the chi square test results of the relationship between hand washing behavior with soap and the incidence of typhoid fever obtained a value (p-Value = 0.000) so that H0 was rejected and the chi square test results of the relationship between snack consumption and the incidence of typhoid obtained a value (p-Value = 0.377) so that H0 is rejected. It is proven that the habit of washing hands before eating influences the incidence of typhoid fever.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between culture-based excellent service and patient satisfaction in the inpatient room at Hospital X in Pontianak.The research uses quantitative descriptive methods with a cross-sectional study approach. The total sample is 86 respondents, the measuring instrument is a questionnaire of excellent service and customer satisfaction which was created by the author himself with validation results of calculated r values ranging from 0.40 to 0.887 and reliability of 0.944 and 0.956. The research results showed that almost all of the respondents said it was very good, 68 people or (79.07%), the level of patient satisfaction, the majority of respondents said it was very satisfied, 63 people or (73.26%), the results of the analysis of excellent service relationships based on Culture and patient satisfaction with the Spearman Rank obtained a SIG value = 0.000 (Sig < 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a very significant relationship between excellent service and patient satisfaction in the Inpatient Room at Hospital X in Pontianak. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used to improve excellent nursing service because of the importance of excellent nursing service in increasing the satisfaction of inpatients at Hospital X in Pontianak.

Abstract

Civilian’s access towards a clean and healthy lavatory is a part of basic human sanitary needs. This however is still a big problem in Indonesia. Sewage control plays a big part in a healthy environment. Therefore, sewage mismanagement can lead to environmental damage in the water and soil surrounding the polluted area. This can lead to unexpected disease outbreaks that also affect the resident’s activities.  Open defecation are still seen in most traditional based homes including in RW 05 Kelurahan Ciseureuh, Bandung. The purpose of this research’s purpose is to analyze the connection between the knowledge and the action taken towards open defecation Methods. The research approach used is the analytical survey with cross sectional planning. RW 05 Kelurahan Ciseureuh has 230 housewives in tota as population. The data has collected through a questionnaire using frequency distribution and Spearman Rank statistical testing. The results of shows a connection between acknowledging and behaving towards open defecation resulting in p-value 0.028 and the connection between taking action and behaving towards open defecation resulting in p-value 0.049. Conclusion there is a relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of housewives with open defecation (BABS) behavior. RW 05 Cadre is able to work together with M. Ramdan Health Center to provide more education about Open Defecation Behavior (BABS) in order to build awareness of every citizen.
