Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ This research was aimed to develop PEKA-based thinking activity worksheet based, find out the feasibility of the worksheet, and determine the mastery level of thinking skill on the work and energy subject by using PEKA-based Thinking Activity worksheet. This type of research was research & development with 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The initial product was validated by lecturers and teacher, and revised in the first revision. The revised worksheet was used in the limited testing then performed second revision. The final product was used in extensive trial. The results of this research shows that PEKA-based Thinking Activity worksheet is in good category with average score of 4.12. The level of student mastery in thinking skills was 55% at excellent, 36% at credit and 9% at satisfactory levels.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Blended Learning bebasis STEM terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) siswa. Penting dalam mengambil penelitian ini agar kemampuan HOTS untuk siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Cikulur, Penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian secara kuantitatif, Hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu Ketercapaian siswa terhadap HOTS untuk kelas eksperimen termasuk kedalam kategori yang sedang dengan persentase ketercapaian sebesar 75% dan untuk kelas kontrol termasuk kedalam kategori sedang dengan persentase 61%. Kata Kunci : Berpikir tingkat tinggi, Blended Learning, STEM

Abstract

The city of Serang experiences relatively high annual rainfall, with an average total of more than 100 mm/year. Based on data obtained from BMKG, Serang City, in 2023, there will be a shift in the rainy season due to weather anomalies, affecting the amount of rainfall. Apart from that, Serang City is one of the cities with less rain throughout September, recorded within 15 days. In this case, a determination is needed in the form of rainfall classification. However, an exemplary method is required in order to classify rainfall so that the classification results are accurate. Several studies showed that the naïve Bayes classifier method is the best classification method compared to other analysis methods; namely, it only requires a probability. The parameters used are air temperature and wind speed. So, this research aims to determine the classification of rainfall using the Naïve Bayes classifier based on air temperature and wind in Serang City. The method used is non-experimental quantitative with naïve Bayes classifier analysis. Based on the data analysis using Microsoft Excel software, the results showed that in the Serang city area, February 2024 was classified as a humid month with rainfall of 100 - 200 mm, and March 2024 was classified as a dry month with rainfall <100 mm.

Abstract

In the digital era, the utilization of technology in the field of education has provided new opportunities to develop more interactive and exciting learning methods. This research aims to show the effectiveness of using android applications in measuring magnetic fields as physics learning media. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and pure experimental method carried out at the Physics Science Laboratory of FKIP Untirta by comparing the results of direct magnetic field measurements and magnetic field measurements using android applications (Gauss Meter Keuwlsoft, Magnetometer, and Physics Toolbox Magnetometer). The results showed that there is effectiveness in using android applications as learning media in measuring magnetic fields in physics learning. This is evidenced in the results of data processing that are close to the results of direct measurement, where the farther the compass distance, the smaller the angle of deviation of the compass needle, indicating the more minor the magnetic field in that position. Android applications can be an effective learning environment for learning physics, one of which is about magnetic fields. This research has important implications for the integration of technology in education.

Abstract

Kualitas udara yang sehat sangat penting bagi kesehatan manusia, namun pencemaran udara akibat aktivitas industri, transportasi, dan pembangunan kota semakin meningkat. Di Kelurahan Gunung Sugih, Kecamatan Ciwandan, Kota Cilegon, polusi udara yang dominan berasal dari industri menjadi masalah serius yang memengaruhi kesehatan warga. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memantau dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai kualitas udara dengan memperkenalkan prototipe alat monitoring berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) yang mampu mendeteksi suhu, kelembaban, dan konsentrasi karbon monoksida (CO) di udara secara real-time. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap, termasuk observasi, wawancara dengan warga, serta simulasi alat monitoring. Hasil pemantauan menunjukkan kualitas udara di Kelurahan Gunung Sugih yaitu suhu 350C, kelembaban 60%, dan PPM 175. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kualitas udara di Kelurahan Gunung Sugih dikategorikan kurang baik. Penyerahan alat kepada pihak kelurahan dilakukan supaya masyarakat dapat terus memantau kualitas udara dan meningkatkan kesadaran akan pentingnya lingkungan yang sehat.

Abstract

E-diagnostic Assessment is a diagnostic test instrument based on the Merscs.com website, which is used to determine students' initial level of understanding before carrying out physics learning. This research aims to determine the validity and reliability of the development of Mersics.com as an e-diagnostic assessment of the prerequisite material for the kinematics chapter. The limited trial subjects in this research were 75 class XI MIA students. Validity analysis uses the Item Response Theory (IRT) approach with one Logistic Parameter (PL), the difficulty level parameter, better known as the Rasch Model. The research results showed that 56 questions were declared valid by experts using Content Validity Ratio (CVR > 0) analysis. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis based on the Rasch Model showed 20 valid questions in the Understanding of Motion sub-chapter, nine valid questions and one invalid question item in the GLB and GLBB sub-chapters, ten valid questions in the Parabolic Motion sub-chapter, nine valid questions and one the question item is invalid and in the Circular Motion sub-chapter. The reliability of the questions as a whole is declared reliable. It can be concluded that this E-diagnostic Assessment is suitable for use in physics learning.

Abstract

Era disrupsi menuntut siswa memiliki keterampilan hidup (life skills) yang mumpuni untuk menghadapi tantangan akademik dan sosial. Di SMAN 1 Kramatwatu, ditemukan bahwa siswa masih membutuhkan penguatan dalam mengembangkan life skills. Sebagai solusi, kegiatan sosialisasi penguatan life skills dilaksanakan untuk memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai keterampilan hidup yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa mengenal diri, mengelola emosi, berpikir kritis dan kreatif, berkomunikasi efektif, serta memecahkan masalah. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah interaktif, sesi tanya jawab, dan evaluasi melalui angket. Media pendukung seperti infokus dan PowerPoint digunakan untuk memaksimalkan pemahaman siswa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Jumat, 1 November 2024, pukul 10.30-11.15, di ruang kelas XII IPA 3 SMAN 1 Kramatwatu, Kabupaten Serang, Banten, dengan melibatkan 36 siswa dan 12 mahasiswa PLP Untirta Kelompok 24. Hasil sosialisasi menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman dan penerapan life skills di lingkungan sekolah meningkat. Sebagian besar siswa khususnya siswa kelas XII IPA 3 menyadari pentingnya life skills dan telah menerapkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, baik di aspek akademik maupun sosial. Bacalah lebih lanjut untuk memahami pendekatan praktis dalam pengembangan life skills yang relevan bagi generasi muda.

Abstract

This study describes how phase composition affects the ability of giant magnetoresistance (GMR) chip-based sensors to detect magnetic labels made of Fe3O4 and Fe3O4/chitosan that were synthesized using the co-precipitation method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the synthesized nanoparticles were a mixture of magnetite and maghemite phases. The most intense diffraction peak at 2&theta; = 35.6° (311) confirmed the presence of the magnetite phase. The addition of chitosan significantly increased the proportion of the maghemite phase from 10% to 25%, with the appearance of an additional peak at 2&theta; = 33° (221). The modification of Fe3O4 nanoparticles into Fe3O4/chitosan nanocomposites resulted in changes in sensor sensitivity. The GMR sensor successfully detected Fe3O4 and Fe3O4/chitosan magnetic labels within 30 seconds with high sensitivities of 0.746 and 0.761 mV/( g/mL), respectively. The limit of detection (LOD) was also very low at 0.419 and 0.428 g/mL. These findings show that Fe3O4/chitosan nanocomposites integrated GMR chip-based sensors can be a dependable instrument for detecting a variety of biomolecules such as Bovine serum albumin (BSA).
