Abstract

This study was conducted to evaluate teacher performance at SD Kanisius Gendongan using the TYPES (The Bedford County Public Schools Teacher Performance Evaluation System) model, which includes seven performance standards: Learning Planning, Teaching and Learning Process, Assessment, Learning Environment, Communication, Professionalism, and Achieving Students. This type of research is an evaluative study with a descriptive approach, which aims to describe and assess performance based on empirical data. Data collection was carried out through survey techniques, including interviews, observations, and distributing questionnaires. The evaluation results show that in general teacher performance is in the high to very high category. The Learning Communication aspect occupies the highest position with a score (95.83%), reflecting the teacher's ability to build good communication. Other aspects also show good results, such as the Learning Environment (77%) created by teachers has supported an effective learning process. Teaching and Learning Process and Professionalism (each 75%) in the aspect of the learning process itself the learning process runs according to the learning plan, in the aspect of professionalism teachers have high integrity and responsibility Learning Planning (73.33%) SD Kanisius Gendongan has a consistent learning planning system and culture, Assessment (72.22%) this can be seen from the teachers have prepared assessment instruments that are in accordance with learning objectives, and Achieving Students (70.83%) this reflects that teachers have succeeded in guiding and directing students to achieve optimal achievements. These findings indicate that teachers have carried out their duties professionally and are able to create an effective, enjoyable, and development-oriented learning atmosphere for students.

Abstract

Learning using the Flearn LMS in the PGSD Study Program at Satya Wacana Christian University has been a common practice since 2011. However, to ensure the effectiveness of Flearn, research needs to be conducted. Therefore, this study aims to: 1) determine the development level of students' critical thinking abilities in learning using Flearn, 2) determine the improvement level of student learning outcomes in learning using Flearn, and 3) determine the relationship between students' critical thinking abilities and their learning outcomes. The type of research is a collaborative action research. The action taken involves the implementation of the  assignment and forum features in FLearn. The participants in this study involved 60 students. The research instrument uses test questions to measure student learning outcome variables and a rubric of critical thinking abilities to measure the level of students' critical thinking abilities. The data analysis techniques used percentage descriptive techniques and correlation tests. The results of the study indicate that the use of Flearn through assignment and forum features can develop students' critical thinking abilities in the critical category. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes are in the high category. However, no significant positive relationship was found between students' critical thinking abilities and their learning outcomes. Based on the aforementioned findings, it is advisable for the managers of the PGSD study program to support and encourage instructors to actively include Flearn methodology into their lectures. To utilize the assignment and forum functionalities of the Flearn LMS for their lectures, lecturers are required.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dalam melakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengunaan dari model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan model pembelajaran Contextual Teachig and Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika di kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Quasi Eksperimental dengan desain The Static-Group Comparison. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD yang ada di Gugus Gajah Mada Kecamatan Bringin sejumlah 111 siswa, namun sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini di SD Negeri Bringin 01, SD Negeri Bringin 02, dan SD Negeri Pakis dengan jumlah 65 siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan dari perolehan hasil uji T kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada kelompok eksperimen 1 dan kelompok eksperimen 2 yang menunjukkan nilai Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,004 ˂ 0,05 maka dapat disimpulkan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya penerapan model Problem Based Learning lebih unggul dan efektif secara signifikan dibandingkan model Contextual Teachig and Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika materi geometri bangun datar pada siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Contextual Teachig and Learning, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika AbstractThe purpose of conducting this research is to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model and the Contextual Teachig and Learning learning model on math problem solving abilities in grade IV elementary schools. The population in this study was the fourth grade elementary school students in Gugus Gajah Mada, Bringin District, with a total of 111 students, but the samples used in this study were Bringin 01 Elementary School, Bringin 02 State Elementary School, and Pakis State Elementary School with a total of 65 students. The results obtained in this study were based on the results of the T-test of problem-solving abilities in the experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 which showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.004˂0.05, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the application The Problem Based Learning model is significantly superior and effective compared to the Contextual Teaching and Learning model on the ability to solve mathematical problems in geometrical geometry in fourth grade elementary school students.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Contextual Teachig and Learning, Math Problem Solving Ability
