Abstract

Bibir yang mempengaruhi keindahan pada wajah memiliki fungsi perlindungan yang buruk. Kosmetik bibir diperlukan agar mendapatkan perlindungan bibir yang lebih baik yang dimana salah satu komponen kosmetik bibir tersebut adalah cocoa butter. Cocoa butter merupakan hasil produk dari tanaman biji Theobroma cacao L. Cocoa butter sering digunakan dalam sediaan kosmetik karena memiliki kandungan yang bermanfaat bagi kulit, yaitu asam stearat, asam oleat dan vitamin E. Vitamin E digunakan sebagai antioksidan alami, sedangkan asam stearat berfungsi sebagai emolien yang dapat menjaga kelembaban kulit. Adapun fungsi dari asam oleat yaitu meningkatkan penetrasi sehingga mengembalikan fungsi barier epidermis pada bibir.

Abstract

The irrational use of antibiotics, either through prescriptionor non-prescription for sel-medication is one of main problems in the health sector through out the world. The role of health worker are the appropriate information source for antibiotic treatment. Method. The research used descriptive observational design, conducted at Medical Faculty of Tanjungpura University. The research subject were student of year 2015 in the faculty. The tool used was a questionnarie, with 32 questions. Result. The knowledge about antibiotics among student of medical faculty is categorized into a good-level (62%), quite-level (15%), and less (23%). Conclusion. From the results of this research was found that there were medical student who had less-level of knowledge about antibiotics and still using antibiotic for self-medication even though the use of antibiotics should be based on a prescription.

Abstract

Pembuatan minuman serbuk instan jahe dan kencur bertujuan untuk memperpanjang usia simpan produk, memudahkan dalam penyajian, dan memperbaiki rasa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama pengendapan amilum terhadap lama waktu kristalisasi minuman serbuk instan kombinasi jahe dan kencur. Metode: Minuman serbuk instan dibuat menggunakan metode kristalisasi gula dengan empat perlakuan yaitu waktu dekantasi selama 0 menit, 10 menit, 2 jam, dan 6 jam. Hasil: Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan minuman serbuk instan jahe dan kencur tanpa perlakuan dekantasi membutuhkan waktu pembentukan kristal selama 60 menit sedangkan perlakuan dengan dekantasi selama 10 menit, 2 jam, dan 6 jam membutuhkan lama waktu pembentukan kristal yang lebih cepat yaitu selama 30 menit setelah penambahan gula. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses dekantasi perlu dilakukan dalam pembuatan minuman sebuk instan jahe dan kencur untuk mempercepat waktu kristalisasi, namun lama waktu dekantasi tersebut tidak berpengaruh terhadap lama waktu pembentukan kristal. Abstract

Standar Pelayanan kefarmasian menjadi tolak ukur atau pedoman bagi tenaga kefarmasian untuk memfasilitasi peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah telah menerapkan dan besarnya gambaran penerapan Standar Pelayanan Kefarmasian di Apotek-Apotek Kabupaten Kubu Raya Tahun 2018 berdasarkan Permenkes No 73 Tahun 2016 tentang standar pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian non-eksperimental deskriptif dengan pendekatan potong lintang (cross sectional). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling sehingga melibatkan 17 apotek yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan cara wawancara menggunakan lembar pedoman wawancara kepada responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan standar pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek tempat penelitian pada pengelolaan sediaan farmasi, alat kesehatan, bahan medis habis pakai sebesar 85% tergolong sangat baik, penerapan standar pelayanan farmasi klinik sebesar 61% tergolong cukup, dan penerapan standar sumber daya kefarmasian sebesar 84% tergolong sangat baik. Kesimpulannya apotek-apotek di Kabupaten Kubu Raya belum sepenuhnya menerapkan standar pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek berdasarkan Permenkes RI No.73 Tahun 2016.

Abstract

Berbagai jenis produk minyak zaitun telah banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat, baik dalam bidang kecantikan maupun kesehatan. Kandungan asam oleat yang tinggi, yaitu sekitar 80%, membuat minyak zaitun berpotensi memiliki fungsi melembabkan dan menghaluskan kulit. Kosmetika pelembab merupakan kosmetika yang digunakan untuk memperbaiki kulit yang kering dan melindungi hidrasi kulit. Jurnal review ini membahas tentang penggunaan minyak zaitun sebagai pelembab.

Abstract

Domperidone is a prokinetic and antiemetic agent which has low bioavaibility. To increase the bioavaibility of drug, it can be modified into microsphere that can hold drug more longer in gastric to improve the bioavaibility. The microsphere preparation requires a polymer that can make matrix system to protect and deliver the drugs. Acrycoat S100 and HPMC K4M are the usual polymers that used for encapsulation and  have biodegradable characteristic. The aim of this research is to know the comparison ability of two different polymers to entrapment the drug in microsphere. Microsphere domperidone made by solvent evaporation method in 6 formula. F1, F2 and F3 using 50 mg, 100 mg and 150 mg Acrycoat S100 polymer, while F4, F5 and F6 using 50 mg, 100 mg and 150 mg HPMC K4m polymer. The tests were conducted by the determination of the percentage of entrapment efficiency using UV spectrophotometer and evaluation of organoleptic, particle measurement and surface microsphere morphology. The results showed that F3 with Acrycoat S100 polymer has a greater entrapment efficiency of 78,712% ± 4,260% compared to the highest percentage efficiency of HPMC K4M polymer of 4,734±0,390.Key words: Acrycoat S100, domperidone, entrapment efficiency, HPMC K4M, microsphere

Abstract

Niacinamide is one of the components of cosmeceutical products that reported to have skin benefits for the treatment of skin pigmentation, acne and wrinkles. However, the dermal penetration of niacinamide is poor. The carrier system which can be selected to carry the compound through the stratum corneum layer is the niosome system using span 60. This study was aimed to determine the concentration of span 60 that can trap niacinamide optimally and the ability of niosome system span 60 to increase in vitro penetration of niacinamide in gel formulation. The different formulations of nicotinamide niosome were formulated with variance concentrations of Span 60, that is, formula A 100 μmol, formula B 150 μmol, and formula C 200 μmol. The entrapment efficiency testing was conducted using dialysis membrane. The gel formulation was prepared in two formulas, niacinamide niosome gel and niacinamide gel (without niosomes) and tested diffusion using Franz diffusion cell flow-through type. The result show that Formula A provides the most optimum entrapment efficiency of 99.03±0.026%. The results of the in vitro skin penetration studies for 8 hours indicate that the niosomal formulation using Span 60 could increase skin penetration with the percent cumulative amount of niacinamide niosomes was 82.87±1.6932% compared to niacinamide in gel without noisome system about 70.27±5,3212%.

Abstract

Alpha arbutin is a hydrophilic compound which is difficult to pass trough the stratum corneum. One of the effort to increase the penetration of the drug through the stratum corneum is by making in niosome system. This study aims to determine the optimum concentration of span 60 to improve the entrapment efficiency of niosome and investigate the increasing penetration of alpha arbutin using the niosome system in the preparation of the gel in vitro. Niosome consist a mixture of span 60 and cholesterol it made by thin layer hydration method. Concentration of span 60 was varied into three formulas were 100, 150 and 200 µmoL. The formulation of gel was made in two formulas including formulation of niosome alpha arbutin and alpha arbutin in gel. The determination of enterapment efficiency showed that formula 100µmol has an optimum enterapment efficiency by 99.09%±0.1. The in vitro penetration tests with shed snake skin membrane showed that usage span 60 as a niosome composer could increase penetration of alpha arbutin in gel formulation with cumulative numbers of diffusion in 8 hours was 91.62%±2.32 compared to alpha arbutin in gel without niosome system about 73.00%±0.94.7.

Abstract

Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L.) is a plant that is reported to contain flavonoids and shows the activity as a type 2 anti-diabetic by a mechanism of inhibiting the absorption of glucose. Flavonoid compounds such as rutin, quercetin and hesperidin shows anti-diabetic activity. This research aims to determine the levels of total flavonoids and docking studies of flavonoids from meniran against α-amylase and α-glucosidase. Analysis of content of total flavonoids utilizes colorimetric method using AlCl3 and routine standard, the docking study uses Autodock Vina (version 1.1.2) program with the assistance of AutoDockTools (ADT) and visualization of docking results using Discovery Study. The results of the determination of total flavonoids level was 12.32 ± 0.53 mgRE/g extract whereas in ethyl acetate fraction and water each were 19.33±0,68 and 20.07±1.23 mgRE/g respectively. Results of all flavonoids dicking study shows the potential to bind to both receptors, rutin has better binding energy towards α-amylase whereas against α-glucosidase is demonstrated by 3-O -β-D-glucopyranosyl-(2-1)-O-β-D-xylopyranoside quercetin.

Abstract

Phyllanthus niruri L. is known to promote hair growth. Menthol is one of the enhancers which promotes drug penetration into the skin. The aim of this research is to determine the potential of menthol in P. niruri Ethanol Extracts gel preparation as a hair growth promoter. The test animals were randomized into 4 groups: normal group, negative control (gel without extract and menthol), E1 group (Ethanol Extracts of P. niruri 5% gel without menthol) and E2 group (Ethanol Extracts of P. niruri 5% gel with menthol). Hair growth activity test was conducted by applying the gel on the rats’ back, and hair length was measured on the 7th, 14th and 21st days, while the hair was weighed on the 21st day. The results showed that the E2 group had an average hair length and hair weight of 12.45±3.457 mm and hair weight of 28.53±7.681 mg, greater than the E1 group of 10.67±2.455 mm and 19.87±9.552 mg respectively. Based on these results, it can be concluded that adding menthol in P. niruri Ethanol Extract gel preparation can influence hair growth and thickness.
