Abstract

This research was conducted at the Women Empowerment Foundation, focusing on employee retention, believed to have different dynamics compared to profit-oriented companies. The foundation, as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with social goals, often faces financial uncertainty that can affect job stability. The purpose of the study is to determine how, if at all, organizational culture and employee engagement affect foundation employee retention. The research method employed was quantitative, with a survey approach using a questionnaire as the research instrument. Respondents were permanent employees of the foundation with a minimum of one year of experience. The total number of respondents involved was 86 individuals. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that employee engagement and organizational culture positively influence employee retention at the Women Empowerment Foundation. Specifically, employee engagement significantly influences employee retention, while organizational culture, in part, also significantly influences employee retention in the foundation. The research's conclusions advance knowledge of the variables influencing worker retention in nonprofits that support women's emancipation. Abstract

In today's competitive business environment, organizations strive to enhance the performance of their employees in order to achieve their goals and gain a competitive edge.  In this study, we aimed to investigate the impact of work motivation and the work environment on employee performance at PT XYZ. Our method of choice was quantitative, with employee performance as the dependent variable and work motivation style and work environment as independent variables. To gather data, we issued a questionnaire to 53 workers at PT XYZ and subsequently analyzed the data using IBM SPSS and the multiple linear regression analysis method. Upon processing validity and reliability tests, we conducted hypothesis testing and found that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, the work environment was found to not be significant on its own, but it still exhibited a positive impact on employee performance. These results provide valuable insights for organizations looking to improve employee performance, suggesting that focusing on work motivation can yield significant benefits. On the other hand, while the work environment may not be directly significant, its positive impact indicates that it should not be overlooked in efforts to enhance employee performance. In conclusion, these findings shed light on the importance of understanding and cultivating work motivation in the workplace, while also emphasizing the supportive role of a positive work environment.

Abstract

Emergency transformation of the education system due to the COVID-19 increased mental and emotional disorders risks of educators in higher education institutions. Thus, this study aims to examine how COVID-19 impacts the mental well-being of educators, and also explore the contributing factors to these issues. A systematic review was conducted, involving the identification of scientific articles related to mental health, lecturers, professors, and COVID-19. The research was performed on two reputable publication databases, SCOPUS and Web of Science. Following pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria, this study utilized PRISMA to select and analyze the research articles. Through this process, a total of 59 articles have been identified from the electronic databases, out of which seven articles were selected for evaluation. The findings indicate that a significant number of educators encountered various mental health challenges in the midst of the pandemic, including burnout, anxiety, depression, and stress. Numerous factors, such as an imbalance between job demand and job resources, a lack of support, personal factors, and other emergency remote teaching-related factors, all contribute to the issues. This study offers valuable insights that can be utilized to develop optimal practices for educators to address and manage their mental health and well-being in the future.

Abstract

The problem among MSMEs in the form of low literacy to run a business is the reason for the implementation of entrepreneurship skills training. This community service program is organized by the Dewan Kerajinan Nasional (DEKRANAS) of West Java Province with the aim of providing entrepreneurial understanding and skills. Participants consisted of 40 owners and founders of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Java. The training material covers four main topics, namely recognizing one's potential, building entrepreneurial motivation, understanding entrepreneurial activities, and MSME business management. This shows that entrepreneurial training not only provides practical knowledge, but also forms essential attitudes and skills in facing business challenges. Thus, this training makes a valuable contribution in developing entrepreneurial potential among the young generation in West Java, as well as strengthening the local business ecosystem in the region, through knowledge and awareness not directly related to contribution. However, assistance for MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) can be in the form of contributions in the form of training, or human resources who are trained in the ability and awareness to run a business efficiently and with quality. Abstract

This study explores the implementation of human resource management, focusing on the effects of job mutation and workload on work stress and their subsequent impact on employee performance. The research was conducted within the KI unit of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Bandung Head Office. The issue of decreased employee performance, particularly in aspects related to work behavior, prompted this investigation. A quantitative approach with descriptive and verification analysis methods was employed, utilizing a sample of 55 employees selected through probability sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted through structured questionnaires, and the analysis involved path analysis, multiple correlation, and coefficient of determination using SPSS 26. The findings indicate that both mutation and workload have significant effects on employee work stress, with workload being the more dominant contributing factor. Moreover, the study reveals a negative and significant relationship between work stress and employee performance. Specifically, excessive workload and unclear or mismatched job mutations lead to increased stress, which subsequently hinders employee performance in terms of productivity and behavioral consistency. The total influence of mutation and workload on stress was found to be 34.5%, while stress contributed 29.7% to variations in performance outcomes. These results underscore the importance of effective workload management and structured mutation planning in reducing stress levels and enhancing overall performance. Organizations, particularly in the public transportation sector, should consider these factors when designing HR strategies aimed at optimizing employee efficiency. Future studies are encouraged to incorporate qualitative insights to better understand the psychological dimensions underlying stress responses in organizational settings.
