Abstract

Research Aim: This study aims to analyze the impact of Rupiah depreciation on Indonesia's export sector, highlighting both its risks and opportunities for trade competitiveness and economic resilience.Design/Method/Approach: The study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using secondary data analysis from economic reports, policy briefs, and trade statistics.Research Findings: Rupiah depreciation increases import costs for raw materials and technology, raising production expenses and potentially weakening global competitiveness. It may also trigger inflation and reduce consumer purchasing power. However, a weaker currency improves export price competitiveness, boosts demand for commodities such as palm oil and coal, encourages the use of domestic raw materials, and can attract foreign investment.Theoretical Contribution/Originality: This research contributes to the discourse on exchange rate policy by emphasizing the dual nature of currency depreciation in developing economies, providing a balanced view of its macroeconomic implications.Practical/Policy Implications: Policymakers are encouraged to diversify export destinations, strengthen domestic supply chains, and enhance industrial efficiency to maximize the benefits of currency depreciation.Research Limitations: The analysis is limited to secondary data and does not include empirical modeling or case-specific data from individual exporting firms.

Abstract

Research aim : To analyze the factors affecting operational productivity at Waroeng Tenda Gaul Restaurant, Lembah UGM branch, using Mundel’s Theory as a framework, and to provide strategic recommendations for optimizing labor utilization, improving service efficiency, and minimizing raw material waste Design/Methode/Approach : This research adopts a descriptive case study approach with a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze operational productivity at Waroeng Tenda Gaul Restaurant, Lembah UGM branch. The study is designed to explore, describe, and evaluate the factors affecting productivity by using Mundel’s Theory, which focuses on the relationship between inputs (resources) and outputs (results) in operational systems. Research Finding : The analysis of operational productivity at Waroeng Tenda Gaul Restaurant, Lembah UGM branch, reveals several key findings based on data collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and time-motion study. These findings are categorized based on Mundel’s productivity dimensions: effectiveness, efficiency, and utilization. Theoretical contribution/Originality : This study contributes to the existing literature on operational productivity by applying Mundel’s Theory of Productivity in a context that has received limited academic attention: a mid-scale, fast-service restaurant specializing in traditional Indonesian cuisine. While previous studies have broadly discussed operational efficiency in the food and beverage industry, this research offers a more focused and practical application of Mundel’s framework in a real-world SME setting. Practitionel/Policy implication : The findings of this study offer several practical implications for both business practitioners and policymakers, particularly in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the culinary sector Research limitation : While this study provides valuable insights into the operational productivity of Waroeng Tenda Gaul Restaurant using Mundel’s Theory, several limitations should be acknowledged

Abstract

Research aim: This research aims to design a fair, technology-based recruitment system by eliminating bias and assessing candidates solely based on their competence. Design/Method/Approach: This research utilizes the ADDIE model to develop a bias-free recruitment system. Research Finding: The system effectively identifies and minimizes bias in candidate selection by prioritizing relevant qualifications and competencies, while excluding non-work-related factors. Theoretical contribution/Originality: This research enhances the understanding of automation in employee recruitment in developing countries, particularly Indonesia, by introducing innovative recruitment algorithms that promote diversity and inclusivity across various companies. Practical/Policy Implication: This research suggests that companies adopt a more equitable automation system to foster a diverse and innovative work environment. Research limitation: This study requires further validation with large-scale, real-world data. Future research should utilize more diverse datasets and explore the system’s impact in a broader context.

Abstract

Research aim : This study aims to design and develop an effective management information system to support the pre-recruitment planning process in Human Resources (HR) management using a flowchart-based approach. Design/Method/Approach : This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews and literature studies to identify needs and challenges in pre-recruitment HR planning . Research Findings : The results of the study indicate that the developed system can integrate candidate data management, job analysis, and job description preparation systematically. The use of flowcharts as a visualization tool improves understanding and efficiency in the pre-recruitment HR planning process. Theoretical contribution/Originality : This study contributes to the literature on management information systems by emphasizing the importance of information technology integration in the pre-recruitment HR planning process, as well as demonstrating how flowcharts can be used to visualize HR planning workflows . Practitionel/Policy implications: This research provides practical guidance for organizations to improve efficiency and accuracy in candidate data management and formulate more effective and transparent recruitment strategies. Research limitations: This research focuses on system design and does not include the direct implementation stage, so the results need to be tested further in real practice.
