Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the use of social media Instagram, entrepreneurial learning, and locus of control on interest in online entrepreneurship with self-efficacy as a mediating variable in students at the business economics faculty in Medan City, Stambuk University in 2018, 2019, and 2020. SmartPLS is used to test the relationship between constructs. The entire population used in this research was 200 respondents from the Faculty of Business Economics in Medan Stambuk City in 2018, 2019, and 2020 who had taken entrepreneurship courses. The results of the research show that the use of social media Instagram has no significant effect on self-efficacy and interest in online entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship learning has a significant effect on self-efficacy, entrepreneurship learning has no significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship, locus of control has no significant effect on self-efficacy and interest in online entrepreneurship, Self-efficacy has a positive effect on interest in online entrepreneurship. The use of social media Instagram does not have a significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship through self-efficacy. Entrepreneurship learning does not have a significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship through self- efficacy. Self-efficacy has a significant effect on interest in online entrepreneurship through self-efficacy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job embeddedness and work family conflict on turnover intention at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia Medan which is moderated by organizational commitment partially. The design of this study is multiple linear regression analysis and MRA is used as an analysis tool to determine how the influence of independent variables on the moderated dependent variable. This study uses an associative research type with a quantitative approach. The population and sample used in this study were 170 employees. The results of this study indicate that the significance variable of job embeddedness is 0.035 <0.05, this indicates that job embeddedness has a significant effect on turnover intention, so accept Ha and reject H0. From the t count obtained 6.034 and t table 1.974, which means that the job embeddedness variable has a positive effect on turnover intention. The significance of work family conflict is 0.000 <0.05, this shows that work family conflict has a significant effect on turnover intention, so accept Ha and reject H0. From tcount obtained 2.127 and ttable 1.974, which means that the work family conflict variable has a positive effect on turnover intention. Organizational commitment moderates the relationship between job embeddedness and turnover intention. Organizational commitment moderates the relationship between work family conflict and turnover intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training and work discipline on employee performance with competence as a mediating variable at the Medan Palm Oil Research Center. The research method uses a quantitative approach with Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis techniques. The study population was 235 employees with a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using SmartPLS version 3. The results showed that training had a significant positive effect on employee performance (β = 0.419; p = 0.001) and competence (β = 0.354; p = 0.000). Work discipline had a significant positive effect on employee performance (β = 0.551; p = 0.000) and competence (β = 0.147; p = 0.001). Competence had a significant positive effect on employee performance (β = 0.005; p = 0.000). Mediation testing demonstrated that competence mediated the effect of training on employee performance (p=0.002) and work discipline on employee performance (p=0.002). This study emphasizes the importance of developing continuous training and strengthening a culture of discipline to improve employee competence and performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mediating role of Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Behavior in the relationship between Perceived Economic Benefit (PEB), Perceived Lack of Quality (PLQ), and Perceived Lack of Availability (PLA) on customer satisfaction in coffee shops in Medan City. The rapid growth of coffee shops has led to fierce competition and encouraged business owners to develop innovative marketing strategies. The research employed a quantitative associative approach with 100 respondents selected through probability sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results showed that PEB negatively affects DIY but positively affects satisfaction; PLQ and PLA positively affect DIY but negatively affect satisfaction. DIY behavior negatively influences satisfaction and mediates the relationship between the independent and dependent variables. The findings emphasize that DIY strategies do not always increase satisfaction, suggesting that professional promotion and consistent quality should still be prioritized.

Abstract

This study aims to determine transformational leadership on employee performance through employee empowerment and employee engagement as interverning variables at PT. Bank Mandiri Medan City. The total population in this study was visiting 120 people, by using a saturated sample, the total sample of the number of employees of PT. Bank Mandiri Medan City. The analytical technique used is path analysis. While the type of research used in this study is a quantitative approach, the method used in this research is statistics with data collection techniques through questionnaires to all employees of PT. Bank Mandiri Medan City. The results showed that Transformational Leadership had a positive and significant effect on Employee Empowerment. Transformational Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Employee Engagement. Transformational Leadership has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. Employee Empowerment has a positive and significant effect on Employee Engagement. Employee Engagement has a positive and significant effect on Employee Empowerment at. Meanwhile, they jointly state that Transformational Leadership, Employee Empowerment, and Employee Engagement have a significant influence on Employee Performance.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of organizational culture on innovative behavior through organizational commitment as an intervening variable in the North Sumatra Province Transportation Service. Path analysis is used in research design to determine the direction of the variables studied and show how significant the influence of the independent variable is on the dependent, either directly or indirectly through mediating variables. This research uses quantitative methods. In this study the entire population was the sample consisting of 138 employees at the North Sumatra Province Transportation Service. To collect data, this was done through questionnaires distributed to respondents. The data obtained was then processed using SPSS version 25 tools. The results of this research show that organizational culture has a positive and insignificant effect on innovative behavior, organizational culture has an indirect effect on innovative behavior which can be mediated by organizational commitment. Keywords: Organizational Culture, Innovative Behavior, Organizational Commitment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan sebab-akibat tuntutan pekerjaan (job demands) terhadap upaya perancangan pekerjaan (job crafting) dan memahami peran perancangan pekerjaan (job crafting) sebagai variabel mediasi dalam menghubungkan tuntutan pekerjaan (job demands) dengan perilaku kerja inovatif. Selain itu, penelitian juga meneliti mengenai peran dari job crafting sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara job demands dan perilaku kerja inovatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 114 responden sebagai sampel di Dinas Ketenagakerjaan Kota Medan. Metode statistik yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah path analysis. Data yang diperoleh dalam hasil studi memperlihatkan tidak memiliki hubungan yang substansial dari tuntutan pekerjaan (job demands) terhadap perancangan pekerjaan (job crafting). Meskipun tuntutan pekerjaan (job demands) tidak memiliki dampak yang signifikan secara statistik akan tetapi signifikan secara struktural terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa perancangan pekerjaan (job crafting) berdampak siginfikan dan positif terhadap perilaku kerja inovatif. Temuan penting lainnya adalah job crafting tidak memiliki peran mediasi dalam menjelaskan pengaruh job demands terhadap perilaku inovatif karyawan pada Dinas Ketenagakerjaan Kota Medan.
