Abstract

Learning independence is one of the whips to face the challenges and learning tasks faced. Independent students can complete their work or tasks well even without the help of others. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and confidence with student learning independence in SMP Negeri 9 Tebing Tinggi. The population of this study are students of SMP Negeri 9 Tebing Tinggi as many as 600 students with random sampling technique obtained a sample of 120 respondents. Data analysis technique using multiple regression analysis technique. The result of the research shows that emotional intelligence and students' self-reliance in Junior High School 9 Tebing Tinggi are in normal category, while the self confidence of students of SMP Negeri 9 Tebing Tinggi is high. From the results of the first hypothesis test showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence with learning independence with a correlation of 0.606 and p-value 0.000. The second hypothesis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence with learning independence with a correlation of 0.565 and p-value 0.000. Furthermore, the third hypothesis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and confidence with learning independence with a correlation of 0.706 and p-value 0.000. The total effective contribution of emotional intelligence and self confidence variables with student learning independence in SMP Negeri 9 Tebing Tinggi is 70.6%.

Abstract

This research is to know the relation of student perception to counselor and infrastructure facilities of Counseling Guidance with interest of counseling guidance service to students of SMP Negeri 2 Dewantara - Aceh Utara 2017. Type of research is quantitative. The research population of all students in grade VIII and IX SMP is 200 students. The sample of this study amounted to 109 students of SMP Negeri 2 Dewantara. Sampling technique in the form of simple random sampling and data collection method using psychological scale and questionnaire, while the method of data analysis using product moment correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) there is a significant positive correlation between students' perceptions on counselor and BK infrastructure with interest of counseling service, where coefficient rx12y = 0.662 and p = 0,000 with contribution equal to 43,9%. (2). There is a significant positive correlation between students' perceptions of counselors with interest in counseling counseling services, where the coefficients rx1y = 0.662 and p = 0,000 with contribution of 43.8%. (3). There is a significant positive relationship between BK facilities and infrastructure with the interest of counseling services, where the coefficient rx2y = 0.271 and p = 0,000 with a contribution of 7.3 % thus stated that all hypotheses are acceptable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship of work motivation and emotional intelligence with the performance of Health Officers UPT Province of North Sumatra. The type of this research is quantitative research with research population of UPT Health officer of North Sumatera Province as many as 66 people and all of them used as sample (total sampling). The result of analysis shows that the average of work motivation, emotional intelligence and performance of UPT Health officer of North Sumatera Province is high. The results of multiple regression analysis based on the first hypothesis shows that there is a significant relationship between work motivation and employee performance of 0,578 and p 0.000. The second hypothesis shows that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and employee performance of 0.644 and p 0.000. And there is a very significant relationship between work motivation and emotional intelligence with employee performance of 0.726 and p 0.000. The higher the work motivation and emotional intelligence of the UPT Health Officer of the Province of North Sumatra, the higher the performance of the employee. Contribution given work motivation and emotional intelligence to employee performance is equal to 52,7%.

Abstract

Learning independence is the ability of a student in realizing his will or desire in a way without dependent on others. This study aims to determine the relationship between learning discipline and learning motivation with the independence of student learning in SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. This research is quantitative research with population as much as 324 students of SMA Negeri 1 Binjai. By using stratified random sampling technique obtained sample of 180 respondents. Data analysis technique using Multiple Regression Analysis. In general, discipline, motivation to learn, and independence of high school students learn 1 Binjai classified high. The results showed that in the first hypothesis there is a positive and significant correlation between discipline with student learning independence in SMA Negeri 1 Binjai with correlation coefficient of 0.730 and p 0.000, then the second hypothesis shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation with independence student learning, with correlation coefficient of 0.751 and p 0.000 and in the third hypothesis showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between discipline and learning motivation with learning independence with a correlation coefficient of 0.793 and p 0.000. The total effective contribution between the learning discipline and the learning motivation toward the independence of the students of SMA Negeri 1 Binjai is 62.8%.

Abstract

This study was aims to determine the relationship of self concept and emotional intelliegence with work stress of reverence Gereja Batak Karo Protestan (GBKP) in Langkat area. The population of this study are reverences that serve the churches GBKP in Langkat area, consisting of : Klasis Binjai Langkat and Klasis Kuala Langkat as many as 42 people with total sampling tecnique. Data collected by questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using desciptive tecnique, nalaysis erquirements test, and hypothesis test. Based on the anaysis performed, the result obtained : 1) There is a significant negative relationship between self-concept with work stress, value R2 = 0,112 means self concept given 11,2 % contribution to explain work stress, this means the more negative self concept then the higher the work stress. 2) There is a significant negative relationship between the emotional intelliegence with work stress, R2= 0,278 means emotional intelliegence given 27,8 % contribution to explain work stress, this means lower the emotional intelliegence then the higher the work stress. 3) There is a significant negative relationship between the self concept and emotional intelliegence together with work stress, value R2 = 0,306 means self concept and emotional intelliegence given 30,6% contribution to explain work stress, this means negative self concept and lower the emotional intelliegence then the higher the work stress.

Abstract

This study aims to see the relationship between job satisfaction and employee commitment at PT. Barumun Agro Sentosa. The subjects in this study were employees aged 30-40 years with a length of work 4 to 10 years totaling 44 employees. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using two scales, namely the scale of job satisfaction and the scale of employee commitment. Data analysis uses the product moment correlation technique (rxy) which is 0.424 with P = 0.000 <0.05, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and employee commitment, which shows that the higher the employee's job satisfaction, the higher the employee's commitment. On the other hand, the lower the job satisfaction, the lower the employee commitment. Employee job satisfaction in this study is high because (empirical mean = 108.53.> hypothetical mean = 90 where the difference exceeds SD= 2.050). And employee commitment is also high, because (empirical mean = 102.28.> hypothetical mean = 92.5 where the difference exceeds SD = 3.110). The coefficient of determination from the correlation is R2 = 0.331. Job satisfaction contributes to employee commitment by 33.1%. The results of this study are in accordance with the hypothesis with the results of research in the field.

Abstract

Loyalitas kerja dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor antara lain kompensasi. PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II kebun Sei Musam adalah sebuah perusahaan milik pemerintah yang bergerak dibidang perkebunan kelapa sawit sehingga membutuhkan karyawan yang memiliki sikap loyalitas yang tinggi. Dengan loyalitas yang tinggi diharapkan karyawan mampu bekerja dengan baik dan setia sampai masa pensiun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kompensasi dengan loyalitas kerja karyawan di PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II kebun Sei Musam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 78 orang karyawan PT. Perkebunan Nusantara II kebun Sei Musam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan = 0,427 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000, yang berarti p < 0,050, artinya bahwa variabel kompensasi berpengaruh signifikan secara simultan terhadap loyalitas kerja karyawan. R square sebesar 0.182, yang artinya 18,2% variabel loyalitas kerja dipengaruhi oleh kompensasi dan sisanya sebesar 81,8% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Hasil lain nya adalahloyalitas kerja karyawan tergolong rendah dilihat dari mean hipotetik 105 > mean empirik 80,27 dan kompensasi yang diberikan perusahaan juga tergolong kecil, dilihat dari mean hipotetik 95 > mean empirik 78,79.

Abstract

Tugas perkembangan remaja adalah memilih dan mempersiapkan karir. Kualitas pemilihan karir ditentukan oleh tingkat kematangan karir. Masa remaja adalah masa yang tepat untuk mempersiapkan karir, karena remaja mulai memikirkan masa depan secara bersungguh-sungguh. Memilih dan mempersiapkan karir merupakan salah satu tugas perkembangan remaja, sehingga tugas perkembangan ini perlu diselesaikan dengan baik, karena dapat mempengaruhi masa depan individu. banyaknya siswa yang belum mencapai kematangan karir yang memadai. Namun banyak para siswa sekolah lanjutan  kebingungan dalam menentukan jurusan di sekolah dan di perguruan tinggi, kecenderungan siswa yang selalu bergantung pada teman dan orang tua dalam memilih karir dan siswa belum mempunyai perencanaan yang matang mengenai pendidikan maupun pekerjaan yang akan diminati. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuatitatif yang bertujuan ingin melihat Gambaran kematangan karir ditinjau Dari Jenis Kelamin pada siswa SMK dan SMU di Perguruan Panca Budi Medan. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Skala Kematangan Karir yang disusun berdasarkan dimensi kematangan karir dan di format berdasarkan skala Likert. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA dan SMK Kelas X Perguruan Panca Budi yang berjumlah 360 siswa.Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah Random sampling, dimana semua populasi memiliki kesempatan untuk menjadi sampel dalam penelitian, jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 150 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kematangan karir yang sangat signifikan antara siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan. Hasil ini diketahui dengan melihat nilai atau koefisien perbedaan Anava F = 46,518 dengan koefisien signifikansi 0,000. Hal ini berarti nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh lebih kecil dari 0,010.Dengan demikian maka hipotesis yang diajukan yang berbunyi ada perbedaan kematangan karir antara siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan, dinyatakan diterima. Diketahui bahwa siswa perempuan memiliki kematangan karir yang lebih tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 90,663 dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata kematangan karir siswa laki-laki dengan nilai rata-rata 82,862.

Abstract

Dampak sexual abuse pada anak-anak dan remaja berupa tekanan psikologis, sehingga memunculkan berbagai kecenderungan psikopatologi, termasuk depresi, penyalahgunaan alkohol, perilaku antisosial, resiko bunuh diri, kecemasan tentang seks dan ketertekanan kehidupan pribadinya. Dibutuhkan penanganan yang serius dan segera dari semua pihak agar budaya kekerasan dapat diubah, dan bagi korban dibutuhkan penanganan secara intensif agar dapat hidup dan menghadapi masa depannya secara positif dengan mencapai kesejahteraan psikologisnya (psychological well being). Bagi korban sexual abuse langkah awal yang dapat ditempuh mendorong sikap terbuka dan melakukan prevensi intervensi pada pihak sekolah, orang tua dan anak. Tujuan penelitian adalah ingin melihat : Hubungan antara dukungan sosial dengan psychological well being pada korban sexual abuse di Kabupaten Langkat. Data diungkap melalui Skala kesejahteraan psikologis dan dukungan sosial. Jumlah populasi adalah 32 orang anak dan remaja yang mengalami sexual abuse dan tehnik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara dukungan sosial dengan Psychological well being. Hasil ini dibuktikan dengan koefisien korelasi rxy = 0,679 : p = 0,017; p < 0,050. Dengan demikian maka hipotesis yang telah diajukan dalam penelitian ini, dinyatakan diterima, dimana semakin tinggi dukungan sosial maka akan semakin tinggi  Psychological well being dan sebaliknya semakin rendah dukungan sosial maka akan semakin rendah Psychological well being.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan lingkungan kerja non fisik dengan Employee Engagement pada karyawan parking business PT. X. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 33 orang dan sampel sebanyak 33 orang, peneliti menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang signifikan antara lingkungan kerja non fisik dengan Employee Engagement dilihat dari nilai koefisien (Rxy) yang memiliki nilai 0.850 dengan p atau signifikansinya 0.000 0.050, artinya hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan lingkungan kerja non fisik dengan Employee Engagement diterima. Begitu juga dengan nilai koefisien diterminan (R2) yang memiliki nilai 0.722, hal ini setara dengan 72.2%, artinya adalah bahwa lingkungan kerja non fisik pada perusahaan tersebut berkontribusi sebesar 72.2% terhadap Employee Engagement pada karyawan parking business PT. X. Lingkungan kerja non fisik dan Employee Engagement pada karyawan parking business tergolong tinggi, disebabkan oleh nilai mean empiric lebih besar dari nilai mean hipotetik.
