Abstract

The emergence of a large event known as the Jember Fashion Carnival has become an interesting phenomenon. The city of Jember, which initially had no history of carnivals and fashion, has now become the center of influential fashion carnivals in Indonesia and even on the world stage. This research uses a literature review approach to analyze the factors that have supported the sustainability of the Jember Fashion Carnival to date. The data source used in this research is secondary data, obtained through Google Scholar and Scopus to search for relevant journals. Journals that were found were then selected based on titles that matched the research focus. From the search results, the author succeeded in identifying 15 journals which were then summarized into 5 journals that represent a uniform view from all journals that have the same point of view. The results of this research show that in the context of cultural resource management, economic impact, community empowerment, and tourism promotion, the Jember Fashion Carnival (JFC) phenomenon and the fashion carnival phenomenon in Indonesia as a whole produce significant findings. Efficient management of local cultural resources has enabled JFC to become a driving force in local economic growth, with visible impacts in the tourism sector and related industries. The event also empowers communities by creating opportunities in the performing arts and creative industries. Apart from that, the carnival fashion phenomenon in Indonesia acts as a tourism promotion tool, introducing the richness of Indonesian culture to the world. The overall results of this research underscore the importance of wise management of cultural resources, community empowerment, and promotion of tourism through cultural events in achieving positive and sustainable economic impact

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the digital social media environment on academic and non-academic achievement among junior high school students at MTs Pembangunan Mandirancan, Kuningan Regency, Indonesia. Against the backdrop of increasing digital engagement among adolescents, this research addresses a gap in the literature by focusing on students at the MTs level—a group often overlooked in previous studies. Employing a quantitative associative explanatory approach, the study involved 100 students selected through stratified random sampling from a population of 255 active social media users. Data were collected using validated Likert-scale questionnaires and official academic documentation. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, including Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression, were conducted using SPSS. The results reveal a moderate and statistically significant positive correlation between the digital social media environment and both academic achievement (r = 0.512, p < 0.01) and non-academic achievement (r = 0.478, p < 0.01). These findings suggest that, when used constructively, social media can support student learning, collaboration, and engagement in extracurricular activities. It is recommended that educators, parents, and policymakers promote digital literacy and responsible media use, integrating social media into learning strategies and school programs to foster critical thinking, creativity, and social competence among students.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberdayakan kelompok Pemberdayaan dan Kesejahteraan Keluarga dengan meningkatkan daya saing produk lokal. Produk lokal desa, yang mencakup kerajinan tangan, makanan tradisional, dan jamu olahan, menghadapi kendala dalam inovasi produk, pemasaran, dan branding. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk, memperkuat branding dan kemasan, serta memperluas akses pasar melalui pemasaran digital. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pelatihan teknis, pendampingan langsung, dan praktik mandiri yang difokuskan pada penggunaan alat penepung, pembuatan konten promosi, serta pengelolaan e-commerce. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan peserta, dengan 85% peserta aktif menggunakan alat penepung, 70% produk dinilai layak jual, dan terdapat peningkatan omzet sebesar 25-40%. Selain itu, pemasaran digital melalui media sosial dan marketplace menunjukkan peningkatan engagement yang signifikan. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa pelatihan dan pendampingan yang terintegrasi dapat meningkatkan kapasitas anggota PKK dalam mengelola usaha secara profesional dan berkelanjutan, serta berkontribusi pada peningkatan ekonomi desa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) dalam pengelolaan pendidikan Islam di MTs Madaniyah Gunung Silanu. Penggunaan SIM di lingkungan madrasah menjadi kebutuhan penting guna meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, pengambilan keputusan, serta kualitas layanan pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan kepala madrasah, tenaga administrasi, serta guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SIM masih terbatas pada aspek administrasi data siswa dan keuangan, dengan tantangan berupa keterbatasan SDM dan sarana prasarana teknologi. Meski demikian, SIM telah membantu dalam mempercepat proses manajerial dan pelaporan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kapasitas SDM dan dukungan infrastruktur agar implementasi SIM dapat berjalan optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the concept and implementation of Deep Learning (DL) in the context of character-based education. Amid the growing urgency of character education in shaping a generation with integrity, advancements in information technology present new opportunities to design more adaptive and contextual learning approaches. DL, as a branch of artificial intelligence, possesses the capability to analyze large-scale digital data and automatically identify behavioral patterns and expressions of character values. This research employs a literature review using a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing scientific literature from journals and academic publications published between 2015 and 2025. The findings indicate that DL can be utilized to detect learners’ behaviors, emotional expressions, and moral responses across digital media in a contextual manner, thereby supporting formative assessments and data-driven interventions in character education. However, challenges such as algorithm interpretability, data bias, and ethical concerns remain significant. Therefore, the study recommends the application of Explainable AI (XAI) frameworks and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure that DL is implemented in ethically responsible and pedagogically meaningful ways. These findings offer both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of character learning models aligned with the demands of the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of professional teaching ethics from the perspective of Islamic education and its relevance in addressing the challenges and dynamics of the modern era. The background of this research stems from the crucial role of teachers as professional educators, who are required not only to possess pedagogical competence but also strong moral integrity and ethical values. Employing a qualitative approach with the library research method, this study collects data through a critical review of classical and contemporary literature related to teaching ethics in Islam and the ethical challenges encountered by the teaching profession in the modern era. The findings indicate that professional teaching ethics in the Islamic educational perspective are rooted in the values of monotheism (tauhid), trustworthiness (amanah),sincerity (ikhlas),justice (‘adl), and compassion (rahmah), which are manifested in the teacher’s responsibilities toward students, society, and God (Allah SWT). In the modern context, these ethical principles remain highly relevant and are increasingly vital in addressing moral degradation, character crises, and the challenges posed by technology and globalization within the education sector. The analysis reveals that integrating Islamic ethical values into teaching practices can enhance teacher professionalism and foster the creation of a character-based and humanistic educational environment. This study recommends the internalization of Islamic ethical values within teacher education curricula and the reinforcement of moral development for educators in the digital era. Such efforts are expected to shape an education system that is more oriented toward spiritual and humanistic values, enabling educators to navigate contemporary challenges while upholding high standards of knowledge and morality.

Abstract

This research examines digital transformation in Islamic Religious Education through the development of AI-based teaching modules. Using a qualitative approach with library research design, the study analyzes the concept and implementation of digital transformation in Islamic education, designs an AI-based teaching module development model, and evaluates its implications for learning processes and outcomes. The findings reveal three foundations of digital transformation in Islamic education: technology-spirituality synergy, moderation principles in technological adoption, and contextualizing religious materials in the digital landscape. The development of AI-based Islamic education teaching modules involves five essential components contributing to enhanced religious digital literacy, learning motivation, higher-order thinking skills, and democratization of access to Islamic knowledge. Research implications emphasize the importance of a balance between technological innovation and the preservation of fundamental Islamic educational values in optimizing the digital transformation of religious education in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Indonesia menghadapi tantangan dalam menanamkan pemahaman yang mendalam dan relevan tentang ajaran Islam, khususnya konsep Islam Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin, di tengah arus globalisasi dan keberagaman budaya. Pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang Islam sebagai rahmat bagi semesta alam menjadi krusial untuk membangun karakter siswa yang toleran, moderat, dan cinta damai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kerangka konseptual bahan ajar PAI yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Indonesia guna meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang Islam Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur kualitatif, dengan menganalisis dan menyintesis data dari berbagai sumber literatur relevan yang disediakan, mencakup artikel jurnal ilmiah, tesis, dan dokumen panduan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya potensi sinergi yang kuat antara tujuan PAI, nilai-nilai luhur dalam kearifan lokal nusantara (seperti gotong royong, musyawarah, toleransi, keadilan, dan harmoni sosial serta lingkungan), dan esensi Islam Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin. Identifikasi berbagai contoh kearifan lokal dari beragam daerah, seperti tradisi Ngejot di Lombok, Metabe' di Mandar, nilai Sipakatau, Sipakalebbi, Sipakainge' di Bugis, dan Maja Labo Dahu di Bima, menunjukkan keselarasan dengan nilai-nilai universal Islam. Integrasi kearifan lokal ini ke dalam bahan ajar PAI, melalui strategi pembelajaran yang aktif, partisipatif, dan kontekstual—sejalan dengan teori Pembelajaran Kontekstual (CTL)— diidentifikasi sebagai pendekatan yang menjanjikan. Model bahan ajar PAI Kontekstual-Integratif Berbasis Kearifan Lokal (PAIKIB-RL) yang diusulkan berpotensi meningkatkan relevansi pembelajaran PAI, memperkuat identitas budaya siswa, dan secara signifikan memperdalam pemahaman mereka tentang Islam Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada perlunya inovasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum dan bahan ajar PAI, peningkatan kapasitas guru, serta penelitian lanjutan untuk validasi empiris model yang diusulkan.

Abstract

The educational environment in Islam plays a strategic role in shaping students' character. This study aims to explore the concept of the academic environment from the perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith and analyze its implications for the formation of an Islamic generation. Employing a qualitative approach with a literature review method, the research examines various relevant sources. The findings identify three main dimensions of an ideal educational environment: the family, school, and community. These three dimensions are interdependent and work synergistically to shape a generation rooted in faith, knowledge, and noble character. The family serves as the initial foundation for instilling values of faith and morality. The school extends this foundation through structured, formal education, and the community provides a real-life context for practicing these values. This study highlights the lack of integration between family, school, and community roles in current Islamic educational models. It concludes that strengthening the synergy among these three pillars can contribute significantly to building a holistic Islamic education system that is adaptive to contemporary challenges and capable of fostering character education based on Islamic values.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the application of Management Information System through digital innovation as an education modernization strategy. The main focus of this study is to analyze the extent to which the effectiveness of the role of digitization in improving the efficiency of school management as well as identifying factors of educational performance. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection in the form of literature studies. The method of collecting data by searching or extracting data from the literature related to what is intended in the formulation of the problem. The Data was obtained using a database from google Scholar and from the websites of journals or articles that are already available. The data obtained were then analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The results showed that digital innovation has had a positive impact on educational performance which has accelerated access to academic data and work time efficiency, especially in managing student and teacher data. In addition, administrative efficiency also increases along with the implementation of technology-based management systems. The use of digital systems, although still Limited, has helped speed up the data management process and reduce errors that occurred in previous manual systems. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) melalui inovasi digital sebagai strategi modernisasi pendidikan. Fokus utama kajian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sejauh mana efektivitas peran digitalisasi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen sekolah serta mengidentifikasi faktor kinerja pendidikan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur. Metode pengumpulan data dengan mencari atau menggali data dari literature terkait apa yang dimaksudkan dalam rumusan masalah. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan data base dari google schoolar dan dari situs-situs jurnal atau artikel yang sudah tersedia. Data-data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi digital telah membawa dampak positif terhadap kinerja pendidikan yang mana telah terjadinya percepatan akses data akademik dan efisiensi waktu kerja, terutama dalam pengelolaan data siswa dan guru. Selain itu, efisiensi administrasi juga meningkat seiring dengan penerapan sistem manajemen berbasis teknologi. Penggunaan sistem digital meskipun masih terbatas, telah membantu mempercepat proses pengelolaan data dan mengurangi kesalahan yang terjadi dalam sistem manual sebelumnya.
