Abstract

Information about drugs must be owned by all levels of society. The increasing spread of counterfeit drugs and misuse of drugs is one of the efforts to increase public knowledge of getting, using, storing and disposing of drugs (DAGUSIBU) correctly. The purpose of this community service is to provide counseling to youth youth organizations in Nyamplung Srimulyo Village about how to read the information contained in the drug packaging when taking drugs, know about the kinds of drugs on the market and the differences (hard drugs, limited free drugs, over-the-counter drugs, mandatory pharmacy drugs), knowing about various kinds of drug preparations and how to use each to obtain the expected effect, knowing about the procedures for storing and disposing of drugs that are no longer used. This counseling is expected to increase knowledge of the use of drugs. This counseling was conducted out by lectures, discussions, leaflets and drugs along with drug packaging. Participants were given an example of how to read the information listed on the drug packaging when obtaining the drug. The results indicated that partisipantas began to understand to use the correct and appropriate drugs and read the information listed on the drug packaging.

Abstract

Sabun merupakan produk yang sudah tidak asing lagi digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk membersihkan kotoran yang menempel pada tubuh. Masyarakat lebih dahulu mengenal jenis sabun batang/padat dari pada sabun cair. Meskipun begitu, sabun padat ini sampai sekarang masih terus digunakan dan mempunyai segmentasi konsumen tersendiri. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta melalui pelatihan pembuatan sabun dan menumbuhkan jiwa wirausaha peserta. Pengabdian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 23 Maret 2021. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 16 peserta. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dimulai dengan penyiapan bahan baku, penyampaian materi dan praktek pembuatan sabun. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan memberikan pre test dan post test pada peserta. Pelatihan yang telah dilaksanaan menghasilkan sabun padat dan berwarna kuning kemerahan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan lancar, peserta semangat mengikuti dengan terlibat aktif dalam setiap tahapan kegiatan.

Application of a management information system to the Da'wah Organization Management Organization, which entails knowledge of the management information system, its goals, benefits, and features, as well as the Da'wah Organization Organization's management information system, from which we can learn how to apply this In missionary organizations, there is management, which starts with data processing and ends with data programming. Information systems need to be capable of offering useful information to managers, especially for users, in order to support operations and management within an organization in an integrated manner. Today's organizations need the involvement of many more internal parties than they did in the past when it came to their role and involvement in the development and management of information systems. Abstract

Avocado seeds, often regarded as waste, have significant potential as an alternative raw material for producing environmentally friendly products, such as natural soap. These seeds contain beneficial active compounds, including antioxidants, unsaturated fatty acids, and vitamin E, which contribute to skin health. This community service program aims to train the residents of Sumberwungu Village, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, in making soap using avocado seeds as the primary ingredient through the cold process method. The program’s objectives are not only to reduce waste but also to enhance the community's skills in producing high-quality soap that can be marketed as a local product with economic value. It is hoped that through this training, participants will be able to utilize avocado seeds to create soap with skin benefits, opening new economic opportunities for small businesses. The results of the community service activities indicated that the participants welcomed the initiative enthusiastically and actively engaged in the training process. Evaluations revealed a significant improvement in participants’ pretest and posttest scores, demonstrating a better understanding of the soap-making process and its applications. Furthermore, participants were directly involved in soap production using an effective cold saponification technique. This avocado seed soap shows promising market potential. Overall, the program not only offers economic benefits but also raises public awareness of the importance of waste management and environmental sustainability.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan wujud konjungsi dalam cerbung “Sang Tandak” pada Surat Kabar Suara Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitiatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simak dan teknik catat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan penggunaan konjungsi dalam cerbung “Sang Tandak” pada Surat Kabar Suara Merdeka yang terdiri dari 53 data konjungsi koordinatif, 5 data konjungsi korelatif, 82 data konjungsi subordinatif, dan 14 data konjungsi antarkalimat. Konjungsi koordinatif meliputi penggunaan konjungsi yang menyatakan penambahan, pendampingan, pemilihan atau pilihan, dan perlawanan. Konjungsi subordinatif meliputi penggunaan konjungsi yang menyatakan waktu, syarat, tujuan, konsesif, pembandingan, sebab, hasil, alat, cara, komplementasi, dan atributif. Konjungsi antarkalimat meliputi penggunaan konjungsi yang meyatakan pertentangan dengan keadaan sebelumnya dan akibat. Saran diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian cerita pada objek kajian berbeda. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the form of conjunctions in the story of “Sang Tandak” in Suara Merdeka Newspaper. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study used listening techniques and note-taking techniques. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the use of conjunctions in “Sang Tandak” in the Suara Merdeka Newspaper consisted of 53 coordinating conjunction data, 5 correlative conjunction data, 82 subordinating conjunction data, and 14 inter-sentence conjunction data. Coordinative conjunctions include the use of conjunctions that express addition, assistance, selection or choice, and resistance. Subordinating conjunctions include the use of conjunctions that express time, condition, purpose, concession, comparison, cause, result, means, method, complementation, and attributive. Conjunctions between sentences include the use of conjunctions that express opposition to the previous state and result. Suggestions are expected that further researchers can conduct story research on different study objects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan guna menganalisis trickle down effect sektor pariwisata di Kota Batu pada 2007-2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan  pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata sebagai variabel eksogen, tingkat pengangguran terbuka sebagai variabel antara, dan tingkat ketimpangan pendapatan sebagai variabel endogen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi trickle down effect sektor pariwisata di Kota Batu pada 2007-2015 melalui variabel pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata yang mempengaruhi ketimpangan pendapatan secara tidak langsung melalui varibel tingkat pengangguran terbuka. Pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata memiliki pengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap tingkat pengangguran terbuka dan tingkat pengangguran terbuka memiliki pengaruh signifikan positif terhadap ketimpangan pendapatan. Kata kunci: Trickle Down Effect, Path Analysis, Pertumbuhan Sektor Pariwisata, Tingkat Pengangguran Terbuka, Ketimpangan Pendapatan

Abstract

The use of face images has been widely established in various fields, including security, finance, education, social security, and others. Meanwhile, modern scientific and technological advances make it easier for individuals to manipulate images, including those of faces. In one of these advancements, the Generative Adversarial Network method creates a fake image similar to the real one. An error-level analysis algorithm and a convolutional neural network are proposed to detect manipulated images generated by generative adversarial networks. There are two scenarios: a stand-alone convolutional neural network and a combination of error-level analysis and a convolutional neural network. Furthermore, the combined scenario has three sub-scenarios regarding the compression levels of the error-level analysis algorithm: 10%, 50%, and 90%. After training the data obtained from a public source, it becomes evident that using a convolutional neural network combined with compression of error level analysis can improve the model’s overall performance: accuracy, precision, recall, and other parameters. Based on the evaluation results, it was found that the highest quality convolutional neural network training was obtained when using 50% error level analysis compression because it could achieve 94% accuracy, 93.3% precision, 94.9% recall, 94.1% F1 Score, 98.7% ROC-AUC Score, and 98.8% AP Score. This research is expected to be a reference for implementing image detection processes between real and fake images from generative adversarial networks.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and describe the cultural lexicon and cultural meaning contained in the tayuban tradition that takes place in Ngoreyan Hamlet, Ngandong Village, Gantiwarno District, Klaten Regency. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data in this study is in the form of vocabulary related to the elements of the tayuban tradition, including equipment, actors, and procedures or implementation processes. Data was obtained through observation, interview, recording, and recording techniques of informants who were directly involved in the implementation of the tradition. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using an interactive qualitative analysis model from Miles and Huberman. The results of this study show that there is a distinctive cultural lexicon in the tayuban tradition that reflects the names of equipment, actors, and procedures for its implementation, which contain cultural values and local wisdom of the local community.

Abstract

Gout is a condition resulting from elevated levels of uric acid in the blood, primarily affecting the elderly and causing joint pain, which can significantly disrupt daily activities. There is a widespread lack of understanding regarding the distinction between gout-induced pain and pain caused by other conditions. This community service initiative aims to enhance public awareness concerning the typical symptoms of gout, strategies for managing acute attacks, and preventive measures to mitigate the likelihood of future episodes. The program commences with the assessment of participants' uric acid levels, followed by an informative session delivered by PowerPoint presentations. Subsequently, the material presentation transitions into interactive discussions and a question-and-answer segment. This activity proceeded smoothly as planned and was perceived positively by the participants. Positive initiatives should be developed to help reduce gout sufferers and maintain a healthy diet.
