Abstract

Humans in their lives have many interests and goals, so it is inevitable that conflicts and quarrels may occur due to conflicting interests. The Kanjuruhan tragedy was a bloody conflict that claimed hundreds of lives, which was caused by many factors, one of which was the difference in interests that led to abuse of authority. One of the main problems according to the community's perspective in the Kanjuruhan phenomenon was the firing of tear gas by the police. The police at that time became stewards by complying with all the regulations set by FIFA and at the same time had a role as law enforcers and obeyed the laws in force in Indonesia. For this reason, this article aims to discuss how the Kanjuruhan incident occurred, through the analysis of Dahrendorf's conflict perspective theory and how the Authority at that time played its role. This article is prepared with a research method using a qualitative approach, namely the literature study method and analysis of the Watchdoc Documentary Youtube channel.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the causes of wildlife trade, the factors that drive the continued of illegal trade and the consequences which is studied in the perspective of Georg Simmel's philosophy of money theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative derived from the analysis of one of the videos in the watchdoc youtube channel and literature review from several sources of national and international articles. The results showed that the existence of wildlife trade in animal markets is a form of weak law enforcement and the lack of prosperity of Indonesian which also affects on other living creatures. The main factor behind the wildlife trade is economic. Economic difficulties force some people to do various ways to survive, one of which is by buying and selling wildlife that is considered to be quite profitable. However, the impact of this wildlife trade is also a concern because it can lead to zoonosis that threatens human health. This illegal trade is a manifestation of Georg Simmel's theory that money moves in the social, money adjusts itself in social relations, and how money affects social phenomena that happens in society. The effort that can be made to decrease the rampant wildlife trade is by consciously enforcing the applicable regulations together.

Abstract

Ketertarikan penggemar dalam komunitas fandom terhadap budaya populer Korea (K-Pop) berdampak pada pembentukan identitas kolektif yang memengaruhi dan mengubah pola perilaku penggemar yang dapat diamati secara nyata. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis proses pembentukan identitas kolektif penggemar, mengidentifikasi pola perilaku yang terbentuk akibat keterlibatan mereka, serta mengkaji peran simbol dan bahasa dalam memperkuat identitas kolektif, khususnya Komunitas Engene Semarang. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Konstruksi Realitas Sosial yang dikemukakan oleh Peter L. Berger dan Thomas Luckmann. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konstruksi identitas kolektif para anggota Komunitas Engene Semarang terbentuk melalui keterlibatan anggota komunitas dalam berbagai kegiatan seperti birthday event, fan gathering, dan aktivitas digital melalui tiga tahap yaitu eksternalisasi, objektivasi, dan internalisasi serta adanya peran significant others. Pola perilaku yang muncul meliputi perilaku konsumtif, perilaku konformitas, perilaku digital, dan perilaku ekspresif, yang tercermin dalam penggunaan simbol fandom, partisipasi sosial, serta keterikatan terhadap idola. Penggunaan simbol dan bahasa khas fandom, seperti photocard, produk bertema idol Enhypen, serta penggunaan bahasa seperti istilah perkenalan, turut memperkuat identitas kolektif penggemar. Simbol dan bahasa berfungsi sebagai penanda keanggotaan yang memperkuat rasa memiliki dalam komunitas fandom.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the impact of human rights violations during the New Order period in Indonesia on the process of seeking justice. Through a qualitative research approach in the form of literature studies and content analysis, it is used to identify patterns of practices that inhibit openness in the Indonesian legal system. The results of the study highlight the importance of comprehensive legal reform to remedy this dark past, as well as to create a fairer and more transparent legal system for all citizens. The implication of this study is the need for concrete actions to strengthen independent and transparent law enforcement agencies and ensure that past human rights violations are prosecuted fairly. Thus, this article emphasizes the urgency to achieve greater justice in the Indonesian legal system.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of understanding syntactic structures in Indonesian, particularly noun phrases that are frequently used in news texts. Noun phrases play a crucial role in ensuring clarity of meaning and accuracy of information, especially in journalistic language that emphasizes conciseness and precision. The aim of this research is to identify the types and analyze the structural patterns of noun phrases found in news articles about Universitas Negeri Semarang on the Suara Merdeka online portal, August 2025 edition. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through the observation and note-taking technique, followed by distributional analysis to classify phrase types and structures. The results reveal three main types of noun phrases: modificative, coordinative, and appositive, with the Diterangkan–Menerangkan (DM) pattern being the most dominant. This dominance indicates the journalistic tendency toward concise and efficient expression. The findings contribute theoretically to linguistic studies, particularly syntax, and practically offer helpful sugestions for journalists, educators, and students to improve accuracy and effectiveness in academic and journalistic writing.
