Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of learning activities conducted in the classroom and assist teachers in identifying issues within learning activities and finding effective solutions, particularly in enhancing self-control among children aged 5–6 years using the traditional bakiak game method at Darussalam Pansor Kindergarten, Pansor Village, Pansor Lauk Hamlet, Kayangan Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency. The sample consisted of 20 children, including 7 girls and 13 boys. Self-control is an essential skill that should be developed in children from an early age to help them manage their emotions effectively, thereby enabling them to socialize well with others. The research method employed was a classroom action research design based on the framework proposed by Kemmis and McTgart. The results of the study showed that children's self-control abilities using the traditional bakiak game method reached 20% in the pre-action phase, then reached 65% in cycle I, and finally reached a good score in cycle II, which met the researcher's expected classical completion criteria of 85%.

The research was conducted at TK Islahul Ummah, located in Dusun Cupek, Sigar Penjalin Village, Tanjung Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency. The study focused on 23 group A children who were in the process of learning to recognize numerical symbols. This research is a classroom action study using the model developed by Kemmis & Mc.Taggart. Data collection methods included observation, documentation, and testing. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative analysis. The results of the study showed an improvement in the ability to recognize numerical symbols through the use of flash cards among group A children. In the pre-cycle stage, 10 children (43.47%) achieved mastery. This increased in the first cycle, with 15 children (65.21%) achieving mastery. In the second cycle, the results showed a further improvement in the children's ability to recognize numerical symbols. This was evidenced by 20 children achieving the "developing as expected" and "developing very well" categories, with a classical completeness score of 86.95%. The use of flash cards proved effective in enhancing children's ability to recognize numerical symbols.

Abstract

Mira Susanti (2025). This research is entitled implementation of the montessori practical life skills method to develop fine motor skills in children in group a at the surya citra angkasa early childhood education center. The purpose of this study was to determine the development of Fine Motor Skills in Group A Children at Surya Citra Angkasa Preschool. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research with research subjects of group A PAUD child with a total of 10 children. This research was carried out in two cycles and in 1 cycle it was divided into 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of the pre-cycle research were only 30% completed, in cycle 1 it can be explained that children's fine motor skills developed by 70% and in cycle 2 it increased to 90% of 10 children, there were 2 children who obtained the criteria for developing according to expectations and 7 children obtained the criteria for developing very well and 1 child obtained the criteria for starting to develop. This shows that the application of the Montessori method in developing children's fine motor skills at Surya Citra Angkasa Preschool is very effective in developing children's motor skills. According to the researcher's observations, this method frees children to explore their environment, teaches independence, and various interesting activities such as experiments, demonstrations, and exercises of practical life. This allows children's motor development to progress rapidly, further stimulating and honing their fine motor skills.

Abstract

Science is knowledge that is currently believed to be a tool to explain phenomena that occur in everyday life. However, in delivering science to students, there are often obstacles, especially for students in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The purpose of this community service activity is to help Early Childhood Education partners in North Lombok Regency in solving problems experienced by partners, namely limited knowledge and experience regarding teacher strategies in developing science skills, especially using media based on props for children and the difficulty of teachers in conveying science phenomena to PAUD students. The solution to this problem is to hold training in developing skills and simple science experiment experiences for Early Childhood education teachers using media based on props. The method of implementing this community service activity consists of training methods, mentoring, and discussions that are carried out directly. Community service that is carried out can improve the skills of teachers in improving simple science skills in Early Childhood students. In the future, in order to maximize the understanding and interest of PAUD students in science, it is necessary to provide knowledge and/or stimulus activities that stimulate students' interest gradually, especially themes that are closely related to everyday life

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the form of audio visual media and its use in managing interactive learning at SDN 1 Teniga in the 2024/2025 school year and to describe the process of using audio visual media in interactive learning at SDN 1 Teniga in the 2024/2025 school year. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with the Milles and Hubberman research design model. The results of the study 1) show that the forms of audio visual media used in managing interactive learning at SDN 1 Teniga are in the form of audio visual media based on animated learning videos and game-based learning media (gamefication) such as quiz. The learning media is used during the learning process in the classroom. 2) The use of audio-visual media in interactive learning at SDN 1 Teniga begins with initial planning, determining learning objectives, selecting and creating animated videos and quizzes. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of teachers in training the independence of children aged 4-5 years at TKN Pembina Dewi Kayangan, as well as to determine how teachers play a role in training children's independence. The study was conducted at TKN Pembina Dewi Kayangan in Karang Lande Village, Kayangan Subdistrict, Kayangan District, KLU, with a total of 4 students, consisting of 7 boys and 8 girls. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, a research methodology that focuses on a deep understanding of phenomena in their natural context. The research used Milles Hubberman's data analysis method, which consists of four stages: data condensation, data display, drawing conclusions, and verifying conclusions. The results of this study at the Dewi Kayangan State Kindergarten indicate that the development of independence among children in Group A (ages 4–5) has shown significant progress through a structured approach that includes routine activities, positive reinforcement, and direct modeling by teachers. The children were able to achieve physical independence (such as tidying up toys and eating independently), emotional independence (expressing needs), social independence (interacting with peers), cognitive independence (decision-making), and responsibility through the daily task program. Despite challenges such as individual developmental variations, teacher-child ratio limitations, and the influence of parenting styles at home, collaboration between schools and parents, along with a conducive learning environment, has successfully established a strong foundation for independence. These findings also emphasize the importance of consistent methods, differentiated approaches, and the optimization of supportive resources for more holistic and inclusive independence development in young children.

Abstract

This study aims to improve fine motor skills through the art of folding origami in children aged 5-6 years. The subjects in this study were group B with 15 students, consisting of 6 male students and 9 female students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out and ends in a cycle that achieves the specified learning outcomes. The data collection instrument used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses quantitative data. The results showed that the art of folding origami could improve children's fine motor skills. This can be seen from the research data, namely in Cycle I 60% or 9 students from the total number of children in the BSH category, while in Cycle II there was an increase to 80% or 12 students from the total number of children in the class, 9 students. students are in the BSH category while the other 4 students are in the BSB category. This shows that the use of the art of folding origami effectively improves children's fine motor skills at the early childhood education level.
