Abstract

In a world increasingly connected digitally, webinars have become a crucial tool for education, training, and information exchange. Along with the rapid growth in the use of webinars, there are often shortcomings in the registration process and distribution of e-certificates, which are inefficient and unsatisfactory. The main issue is the time and human resources required in this process, increasing the risk of errors. Thus, there arises a need for an effective system to manage registration and e-certificate distribution. The automated webinar registration and e-certificate system offer an efficient solution to meet these needs, with the primary goal of maximizing ease of use and operational effectiveness. This system is designed for the automation of the registration process, participant validation, and the creation and distribution of e-certificates, all aimed at enhancing user experience and reducing administrative workload. The development of this system is carried out using the Extreme Programming (XP) method. XP was chosen for its ability to handle changes in needs quickly and efficiently, and its focus on technical quality and customer satisfaction. With a focus on user needs and rapid adaptation to feedback, this system is expected to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual errors, and enhance user satisfaction.

Abstract

Toko Miring is one of the stores that sell various daily completeness needs such as food, drinks, household appliances, and others placed on shelves or storefronts. Each sales transaction data is recorded in a database system through the cashier application. According to Rahmat Fathi, supervisor at Toko Miring, at the beginning of 2020 precisely in March, The Tilt store experienced a decrease in the number of sales transactions compared to the previous year, this is because the buying and selling process in this Tilt store has many problems, one of which is the storage of sales data is still in writing. This causes buyers to have difficulty finding the desired product because the preparation of the product is not separated by type. From the problems that occurred, researchers together with Toko Miring proposed to rearrange a sales strategy to increase sales at Tilt Stores. In devising sales strategies, researchers utilize sales transaction data in previous years to be reprocessed using data mining techniques. Based on the description above, the researcher will analyze sales transaction data using data mining techniques by implementing a priori algorithms with a support value and confidence value of 50% and implementing it into the python programming language. The result of this study is that researchers managed to get sales patterns that can improve sales strategies that produce information that is useful for related parties in making sales strategy decisions such as sales packages for promos, recommending products to customers and maintaining product availability in order to increase sales intensity in some stores such as in Tilt Stores.

Abstract

PT Avia Jaya Indah has work targets that must be achieved in order to support the quality of the company. To achieve this work target, every employee must maximize his potential, so it is necessary to evaluate and evaluate employee performance. Facts in the field, to carry out employee performance appraisals are still carried out by task executors manually using an assessment form paper approved by the leadership. Performance appraisal is assessed based on subjectivity without clear and measurable standard criteria, resulting in gaps between employees. then there is a human error that is marked in making the calculation of the value so that it is less accurate, allowing errors to occur when calculating and formulating Excel formulas. The performance appraisal method in this study uses TOPSIS. The results of this study are to design and build an employee performance appraisal application system using the TOPSIS method.

Abstract

Ticket booking applications have become one of the popular ways for tourism companies to provide convenience and comfort for customers in planning their trips. PT. Panorama JTB Tours focuses on travel services by developing a ticket booking application to improve the company's user experience and efficiency of the booking process. The author analyzes the User Interface and User Experience from the PT. Panorama JTB Tours uses the User Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD method is used to ensure that the application design focuses on user needs, preferences and behavior. The steps of the UCD method include the stages of collecting data about users, analyzing user needs, designing UI and UX, as well as testing and evaluating designs with users. Data is collected through interviews, surveys, and observations with users. The results of the analysis provide in-depth insight into user preferences and concerns during the ticket booking process. UI and UX redesign was carried out based on findings from research, with the aim of improving navigation, layout and user interaction.

Abstract

Begitu banyaknya spesifikasi dan fitur-fitur yang ditawarkan berbagai macam merk smartphone, sering kali membuat pembeli kebingungan didalam memilih smartphone yang dibutuhkan. Untuk itu dibutuhkan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) untuk membantu pembeli dalam menentukan keputusan memilih smartphone yang akan dibeli. Penulis menggunakan metode Technique for Others Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) untuk membantu pembeli dalam menentukan smartphone yang akan dibeli berdasarkan spesifikasi yang ditawarkan. Penulis menggunakan jenis data data primer yang diperoleh melalui wawancara dan observasi secara langsung pada pembeli dan sumber terkait lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan rekomendasi smartphone kepada pembeli. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara tersebut, maka diperoleh 8 kriteria yaitu Kamera Depan (C1), Kamera Belakang (C2), Harga (C3), RAM (C4), ROM (C5), Prosesor (C6), Baterai (C7), dan Garansi (C8). Sedangkan, data sekunder diperoleh melalui tulisan ilmiah dan studi literatur yang berhubungan dengan sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) rekomendasi pembelian smartphone dan metode Topsis. Penelitian ini menghasilkan output yang memenuhi tujuan yaitu dapat membantu memberikan rekomendasi kepada pembeli didalam menentukan smartphone yang akan dibeli dan dapat mempermudah proses pengambilan keputusan sehingga menjadi lebih akurat, efektif dan efisien dalam menghasilkan informasi.

Abstract

The Covid -19 pandemic has disrupted the conventional learning process. So a solution is needed to answer these problems, one of which is using information technology. The use of information technology media in the teaching and learning process is expected to arouse students' desire and interest in learning, generate motivation and stimulation of learning activities, and even bring psychological effects on students. E-learning is an electronic teaching and learning method that allows the delivery of teaching materials using the internet, intranet, or other media. Therefore, the author makes a information system design e-learning website base dusing the waterfall method in which there are stages of system requirements analysis, design, code generation, and testing. Later, after application -e-learning this website based through testing, black box there will be several features such as sharing materials, assignments and exam work online that is carried out directly in this application, so that learning with the method is e-learning expected to be one of the best solutions for solve the problems that existed during the pandemic covid-19 that disrupted the teaching and learning process at SMPN 1 Rasau Jaya, this is because learning with the method e-learning can allow teachers and students to interact insubjects online which can be accessed from their respective homes. so that the spread of thevirus Covid-19 can be further suppressed and prevented.

Abstract

Selection of prospective new employees is one of the methods used to obtain qualified employees and in accordance with the competence of expertise. The selection process to get suitable candidates has several criteria from the company. to assess the ability of prospective new employees objectively not subjectively and based on hunch. Assessment criteria are based on aspects of health, educational history, completeness of job application documents and also interviews. The method used in this research is Profile Matching. The concept of this method is to compare the individual abilities of prospective new employees to the ideal value of several aspects and factors. Implementation of the use of this method using the PHP programming language, MySQL database and website-based. The results of these recommendations can be used to assist in terms of decision making which are presented in the form of ratings or rankings. As well as being able to simplify the selection process and speed up the assessment process of candidate applicants who have already carried out a series of tests and interviews. It is hoped that the company can get candidates who are close to the value of the provisions that have been set. So that the decision support system using the profile matching method is considered appropriate to be used in assisting decision making.

Abstract

High School attendance systems play an important role in monitoring student attendance and enforcing discipline in the academic environment. However, many schools still use manual methods such as written attendance lists or teacher name calling, which are inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to manipulation and fraud. These methods present challenges for teachers and administrative staff, leading to inaccurate recording, data loss, and falsification of attendance. To address these issues, this study proposes the development of a QR Code-based school attendance system using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology. RAD was chosen because of its ability to produce prototypes quickly and allow for iterative system improvements according to user needs. The proposed system allows students to scan a unique QR Code to automatically record their attendance, thereby reducing human intervention and minimizing errors. The expected outcomes of this study include increased accuracy, efficiency, and security in recording student attendance. The RAD approach is predicted to accelerate the development process without sacrificing ease of use and system reliability. In addition, this system is expected to be able to prevent fraud in attendance, because QR Code-based authentication provides a more secure validation mechanism. Through a series of trials and evaluations, this study aims to prove that the integration of RAD with QR Code technology can improve the effectiveness of attendance recording compared to conventional methods. Based on the results of the trials and evaluations, it can be concluded that the QR Code-based attendance system with the RAD approach has been proven to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and security of the attendance system in schools.

Abstract

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is essential in maritime education, helping cadets with the language skills required to meet specific learning needs. However, traditional ESP reading instruction often lacks engagement and fails to motivate learners. In response, gamification, which integrates game design elements into learning environments, has emerged as a promising solution to enhance learner engagement and motivation. This study aims to explore cadets’ perceptions of the challenges and benefits of using gamification in ESP reading. The research was conducted using a qualitative case study approach at a maritime academy in East Java, Indonesia, involving 24 cadets. Participants were first-year students with intermediate English language proficiency. Data were collected through six sessions of gamified ESP reading lessons, semi-structured interviews, and participant observations. Thematic analysis was used to examine the cadets’ experiences, focusing on recurring themes related to motivation, learning outcomes, and technological challenges. The results showed that cadets generally expressed positive feelings about gamified ESP reading. They reported increased motivation and engagement due to game elements such as points, leaderboards, and real-time feedback, which made learning more interactive and enjoyable. However, challenges such as limited technological readiness, internet connectivity, and initial confusion with the game interface were also highlighted. Therefore, it can be concluded that gamification shows strong potential in enhancing cadets’ motivation and interest in ESP reading following the challenges and their constraints. These findings underscore the importance of integrating thoughtfully designed gamified strategies in maritime education to foster learner-centered and engaging ESP instruction.
