Abstract

Latar belakang: Diabetes mellitus adalah kelainan metabolisme yang disebabkan oleh pankreas kronis yang tidak menghasilkan cukup insulin atau secara efektif menghasilkan insulin yang tidak dapat digunakan oleh tubuh. Prevalensi diabetes mellitus yang tergantung insulin pada tahun 2012 di Provinsi Jawa Tengah adalah 0,06 lebih rendah dari tahun 2011 (0,09%). Kabupaten Semarang adalah prevalensi tertinggi 0,66%. Sedangkan pada tahun 2012 prevalensi kasus DM tipe II menurun dari 0,63% menjadi 0,55%. Pada tahun 2014 Kota Sukoharjo melaporkan bahwa sebanyak 5.413 kasus meningkat dibandingkan dengan kasus pada tahun 2013 sebanyak  5.052 kasus. Kualitas hidup sangat penting dalam mengelola suatu penyakit, seperti penyakit DM. Kualitas hidup pasien DM dapat ditingkatkan melalui terapi fisik. Tujuan: Untuk menganalisis peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien DM melalui terapi fisik. Metode: Metode eksperimen semu. Desain tes kelompok sebelum desain dengan kelompok kontrol. Hasil: Pada kelompok perlakuan kualitas hidup pasien DM mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dari pertemuan pertama sampai keenam, dengan nilai p = 0,000 (p <0,05). Perawatan terapi fisik memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien dengan diabetes mellitus, perawatan kontrol tidak secara signifikan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien dengan diabetes mellitus dan perawatan terapi fisik lebih baik dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Kesimpulan: Terapi terapi fisik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas hidup pasien diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Elderly is a part of the life process that cannot be realized and will be experienced by every individual in the world and is the final stage of the human life cycle. The various problems can arise in the aging process in the elderly. These problems include mentally, biologically, and economically. The Elderly who experience physical setbacks due to the aging process, such as pain can be reduced by compressing lemongrass. Many elderly people at Surakarta Dharma Nursing Home experience knee pain. The pain knee can be reduced by compressing lemongrass water. This study aimed to analyze the decrease in elderly knee pain by compressing lemongrass water in the nursing home of Dharma Bakti Surakarta. This research used. quasi experiment method.. The study design was pre-post group test design with control group. The research sample consisted of 18 treatment groups and 18 control groups. The result showed in the elderly treatment group from the first meeting to the sixth there was a significant decrease in knee pain, with a value of p = 0,000 (p <0.05). The lemongrass water compress treatment significantly reduced knee pain in the elderly, control treatments did not significantly reduce knee pain in the elderly and lemongrass water compress treatment was better in reducing knee pain in the elderly compared to controls. The lemongrass compress water treatment has a significant effect in reducing knee pain in the elderly.

Abstract

Introduction: Hormonal contraception is a type of contraception that contains estrogen and progestron hormones and a combination of both. Types of hormonal contraception consist of pills, injections, implants and one of the side effects of using hormonal contraception is a disruption of the menstrual cycle. Objective: to describe the use of hormonal birth control with the menstrual cycle in the working area of ​​the Surakarta Gambirsari Health Center. Method: Type of quantitative descriptive research. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The instrument used is a checklist. Results: based on the results of the 3-month injection univariate KB test as many as 95 (26.2%) experienced a change in elongated menstrual cycle> 35 days by 70 (35.5%), implantable family planning with respondents 83 (22.9%) experiencing prolonged menstrual cycles > 35 days 66 (33.3%), 1 month injection KB with respondents 93 (25.6%) also experienced changes in the normal menstrual cycle 23-35 days 52 (39.1%), birth control pills with 92 respondents (25, 3%) the majority experienced a normal menstrual cycle of 23-35 days as many as 62 (66.0%). Conclusion: Most family planning acceptors have normal menstrual cycles. 1 month injection KB acceptors have the majority of normal menstrual cycles. Actors with 3 months injection KB are mostly long menstrual cycles. Most implantable KB acceptors have a long menstrual cycle. Key Words: Hormonal, KB, Menstrual Cycle

Abstract

health issues among the elderly, one of which is insomnia or sleep disorders. In Indonesia, the prevalence of sleep problems in individuals aged 60 obtained an extremely high number of cases ranging from 67%. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological handling is used to overcome sleep quality. Pharmacological treatment has undesirable side effects result in patient dependence. Meanwhile, non-pharmacological treatment can reduce sleep disruptions through progressive muscle relaxation therapy techniques. Progressive muscle relaxation therapy can enhance feelings of comfort and psychological relaxation by improving sleep quality in older adults. Objective: To determine whether progressive muscle relaxation exercisesaffected enhanced sleep quality in the elderly of Sidodadi Hamlet. Methods:This examination employed a quantitative approach,applying a quasi-experimental design, with a pre-test and post-test, without a control group design. This study utilised a non-probability sampling technique in the shape of purposive and the Wilcoxon test, with comprised 30 elderly sampled.Results: The Wilxocon test obtained results with a p-value of 0,000. Conclusion:Progressive muscle relaxation therapy affected on the sleep quality of the older adults in Sidodadi Hamlet, Ngawi Province. Keyword : eldery, sleep quality, progressive muscle relaxation
