Abstract

Posyandu di Desa Bakti masih menggunakan sistem pencatatan manual yang tidak efisien dan rentan kehilangan data, menghambat efektivitas pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat. Digitalisasi menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan transparansi data kesehatan di tingkat desa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan Posyandu melalui transformasi sistem pencatatan manual menjadi sistem digital terintegrasi yang mudah digunakan oleh kader dan perangkat desa. Pendekatan participatory action research diterapkan melalui empat tahapan: identifikasi kebutuhan sistem, pelatihan dan pendampingan kader, implementasi sistem SUKMA berbasis Google Forms dan Sheets, serta evaluasi efektivitas sistem. Sistem SUKMA berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi pencatatan hingga 60%, mengurangi risiko kehilangan data, serta meningkatkan literasi digital kader Posyandu. Transformasi digital ini berhasil menjawab kebutuhan nyata lapangan dan berpotensi direplikasi di Posyandu lain sebagai model pengelolaan kesehatan masyarakat berbasis data yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Technology can help get work done, but the presence of technology also has the potential to reduce students' critical thinking because technology can complete student work, so students do not need to read and write. It encourages the community service team to carry out activities by critically assisting students in reading, thinking, and writing. The service is carried out using a PAR approach, starting with research about the relation of students' interest in reading and their critical thinking. It is used as a basis for socialization about scientific literacy. After it, the community service team held discussions, asked questions about the books the students had read, and encouraged students to write their critical thoughts into essays. The results showed that 49 students had completed scientific articles based on their critical thinking. This activity is in partnership with GRAIM Unity literacy community and was held from February to June 2023.

Abstract

The selection process for competition participants in the Informatics Engineering Department at Gorontalo State University is still carried out manually, potentially leading to subjectivity and suboptimal identification of deserving students. This study developed an artificial intelligence-based selection system using a Large Language Model (LLM) integrated with the Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach. The developed system, named Scout, recommends competitions that match student profiles based on academic data, interests, experience, and achievements. The system evaluation used the Precision@K and Hit@K metrics to measure recommendation accuracy, and RAGAS to assess the quality of retrieval and chatbot responses. Test results showed that the Scout system obtained a Precision@3 score of 0.87 and a Faithfulness score of 0.91, indicating high recommendation relevance and factual consistency. Thus, the implementation of LLM and RAG has proven effective in increasing the objectivity and efficiency of the selection process and has the potential to become the basis for the development of an AI-based academic decision support system in higher education

Abstract

This study addresses the need for user-friendly digital media to introduce Gorontalo’s cultural heritage to youth and tourists. We designed and developed a web-based cultural chatbot prototype (Maleo) using the Smojo platform and a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach. The method followed the UCD cycle: understanding usage context via expectation surveys, specifying functional and nonfunctional requirements, modeling interactions with use case and activity diagrams, implementing a Smojo-based prototype, and evaluating usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Data were collected through online questionnaires and limited user testing with local youths and visitors who had experienced Gorontalo. Results indicate a mean SUS score of 80.0 (range 62.5–100; standard deviation ≈ 12.27), placing the prototype in the excellent usability category, with clear navigation, low interaction barriers, and positive intention to reuse. The findings confirm that a UCD-driven, no-code development approach effectively produces an informative, learnable interface for local cultural contexts. Implications include enhancing onboarding, standardizing content and interoperability (via APIs), adopting multi-metric evaluations beyond SUS, and providing stakeholder analytics dashboards to strengthen the educational and promotional impacts of the platform in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam penggunaan e-learning berbasis Google Classroom di SMK Negeri 1 Kaidipang, Sulawesi Utara. Kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital guru dan mendukung implementasi pembelajaran daring yang efektif. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung menggunakan platform Google Classroom. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola kelas daring dan penggunaan fitur-fitur Google Classroom seperti penugasan dan interaksi melalui komentar. Meskipun terdapat tantangan terkait keterbatasan perangkat dan kesiapan infrastruktur, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran daring di sekolah tersebut. Pelatihan ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam mendukung transformasi digital di dunia pendidikan.

Abstract

Kreativitas masyarakat merupakan salah satu pilar penting dalam pengembangan sumber daya manusia di era globalisasi saat ini. Kemampuan masyarakat untuk berkreasi tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka, tetapi juga memperkaya budaya dan membuka peluang ekonomi yang baru. Namun, banyak kelompok masyarakat, khususnya di pedesaan atau daerah yang belum sepenuhnya berkembang, masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengakses sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung pengembangan kreativitas. Metode yang digunakakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah Community Development (CD) yaitu metode pengabdian berbasis pengembangan masyarakat bertujuan untuk membangun kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengembangkan potensi kreatif mereka. Pengabdian ini bisa dilakukan dengan mengedukasi masyarakat tentang prinsip-prinsip desain komunikasi visual dan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, seperti pada usaha kecil, organisasi lokal, atau kegiatan komunal. Pendekatan ini bersifat jangka panjang. Rak display memiliki potensi untuk tidak hanya menjadi elemen fungsional, tetapi juga estetis dan informatif ketika digabungkan dengan poster, logo, serta hanging mobile. Kombinasi ini menciptakan tampilan yang menarik secara visual sekaligus menyampaikan informasi yang relevan. Rak display yang dirancang dengan baik tidak hanya terbatas pada penggunaan di toko, tetapi juga dapat diterapkan di tempat-tempat lain seperti perpustakaan desa.

Abstract

This study examines the practices and perceptions of urban residents regarding household waste sorting in Gorontalo City, Indonesia.  This study involved 400 household respondents, covering eight sub-districts and 50 urban villages within Gorontalo City. Five key dimensions were assessed including knowledge of environmental and economic benefits, individual motivation, preferences for sorting incentives, perceived difficulty, and actual sorting habits. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques with tabulation and percentage analysis. The findings reveal that 73.75% of respondents are aware of the benefits of waste sorting. However, only 32.75% are motivated by environmental awareness, while others are constrained by limited facilities or habitual barriers. Incentive preferences show that 41.25% of respondents favor financial compensation, while 42% prefer improved access to sorting infrastructure. In terms of perceived difficulty, 48.5% consider waste sorting easy, but 37.5% find it moderately difficult and 14% perceive it as difficult. Ultimately, only 12.75% of respondents consistently sort their waste, 39.75% do so occasionally, and 47.5% never engage in sorting. These findings highlight a significant knowledge action gap and underscore the need for integrated policy strategies that combine education, infrastructure development, and incentive-based community engagement to foster sustainable household waste sorting behavior.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengembangkan Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Data Pasien berbasis web di Klinik Deliyana Dental Care Gorontalo dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan Waterfall. Selama ini, proses administrasi dan pelayanan pasien di klinik masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan Microsoft Excel, yang sering menimbulkan kendala seperti keterlambatan pencarian data, risiko kehilangan informasi, dan kurangnya transparansi biaya layanan. Sistem yang dikembangkan pada penelitian ini mencakup fitur pendaftaran online, pengisian dan penyimpanan rekam medis oleh dokter, serta integrasi data keuangan yang dapat diakses secara langsung oleh pasien. Metode Waterfall dipilih karena memiliki tahapan yang sistematis dan terstruktur, yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Pengujian sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode Black Box Testing untuk memastikan semua fungsi berjalan sesuai kebutuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi yang dibangun mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pelayanan, mempercepat proses pendaftaran pasien, serta mempermudah pengelolaan data rekam medis dan keuangan di klinik. Dengan diterapkannya sistem ini, Klinik Deliyana Dental Care dapat memberikan pelayanan yang lebih cepat, transparan, dan modern. Selain itu, sistem ini diharapkan menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan sistem informasi kesehatan berbasis digital yang lebih komprehensif di masa mendatang. Sistem ini juga menghasilkan laporan kunjungan real-time, membantu manajemen memantau kinerja klinik, serta dilengkapi autentikasi dan pencadangan data untuk keamanan. Selanjutnya, pengembangan aplikasi mobile dan integrasi dengan BPJS Kesehatan direncanakan.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are strategic pillars of the national economy; however, business owners in Gorontalo City still face challenges such as low digital literacy and limited technology adoption. Current government marketing assistance is considered suboptimal because it still relies on a mass mentoring approach (one-size-fits-all), ignoring the heterogeneous maturity levels of each business unit. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system that automates MSME clustering using the K-Means algorithm while simultaneously acting as a recommendation engine for personalized digital marketing strategies. The software was developed using the linear sequential Waterfall model. The algorithm's processing successfully mapped a population of 112 data points into three functional clusters: Traditional Micro Enterprises (28 units), Developing Small Enterprises (52 units), and Modern Medium Enterprises (32 units). Functionality testing using the Black Box method showed that the system is 100% valid with no errors. Furthermore, interface usability evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) achieved a score of 84.125, earning an "Excellent" rating. This research contributes by providing an integrated system foundation that shifts the government's coaching paradigm from mass promotion to data-driven precision marketing, thereby accelerating the digital transformation of MSMEs objectively and sustainably.

Abstract

Higher education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the younger generation, and in the ever-evolving digital era, technology has become an integral part of the education process. Amid the ongoing digital transformation, students’ interest in the Informatics Engineering major is increasing; however, challenges remain in attracting high school (SMA) and vocational school (SMK) students to pursue this field. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of students' sentiments toward the Informatics Engineering major and to formulate an effective promotional strategy to encourage high school and vocational school graduates to choose this path. To achieve these objectives, the research employs the TextBlob classification method, a natural language processing tool that assigns sentiment polarity scores (positive, neutral, or negative) to textual data. Sentiment analysis was conducted on responses collected through questionnaires, involving number of high school and vocational school students. The results of the sentiment analysis for high school (SMA) students reveal that out of 209 data points, 93 tweets (44.5%) were categorized as positive sentiment, citing career prospects and academic opportunities as key motivators. In contrast, For vocational school (SMK) students, among 135 data points analyzed, 50 tweets (37.0%) were categorized as positive sentiment, prioritizing practical skills and industry readiness. Based on the findings, the study formulates targeted promotional strategies. For SMA students, the focus should be on showcasing career prospects, technical skill development, and success stories in the tech industry. For SMK students, the promotion should emphasize practical, hands-on skills, industry partnerships, and job-readiness. This research provides recommendations for tailored promotional approaches to enhance students’ awareness and interest in Informatics Engineering, thereby encouraging greater enrollment in the field.
