Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of halal labeling and product quality on Muslim consumers' purchasing decisions on Safi cosmetic products mediated by brand image. The current market competition related to cosmetic sales is very high, followed by the presence of many brands that release several products. Producers must have products that have their own charm that can increase consumer buying interest in making purchasing decisions. The sample in this study was Muslim female students in Yogyakarta who had purchased and used Safi products. The number of samples used amounted to 154 respondents. The method used to take samples is purposive sampling. This study uses primary data obtained from distributing online questionnaires via the Google form. The data obtained was analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0. The results of the study show that halal labeling and product quality have a positive effect on brand image. The study results also show that brand image has no effect on purchasing decisions. Brand image does not mediate the relationship between halal labeling and product quality on purchasing decisions. The results of this study can be a reference for Safi companies in improving aspects of halal labeling and product quality so as to create a good brand image for consumers in order to increase purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The perception of the relationship between leader-member exchange and good organizational support largely determines an employee’s desire to stay in their jobs. This study aims to examine the effect of leader-member exchange and perceived organizational support on job embeddedness, with self-efficacy as a moderating variable. The study was conducted in three Islamic banks in Indonesia, namely Bank Syariah Indonesia, Bank Madina Syariah, and Bank Muamalat. This research was quantitative, and the sample used comprised 302 respondents obtained through purposive sampling, with data collected using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that leader-member exchange and perceived organizational support positively influence job embeddedness in employees. Additionally, this study demonstrates the role of self-efficacy in moderating the relationship between perceived organizational support and job embeddedness. However, self-efficacy could not moderate the relationship between leader-member exchange and job embeddedness. Based on the results of the study, the leaders of Bank Syariah Indonesia, Bank Madina Syariah, and Bank Muamalat must pay attention to fostering good relations between leaders and employees, as well as ensuring positive support from the organization.

Abstract

Moral degradation refers to a decline in a person's adherence to the social norms and ethical standards of society. This decline can be influenced by various factors, such as a child's environment and exposure to social media, which can lead to changes in behavior. As a result, this can disrupt the social order and contribute to feelings of social insecurity. In response to this issue, a research study was conducted to develop a "halal ecosystem" aimed at addressing moral degradation. The research employed qualitative exploratory methods, including in-depth interviews with teachers, students, child psychologists, and representatives of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) in Yogyakarta. The data collected was then analyzed through several stages, including data reduction, content analysis, validation, and drawing conclusions. The outcome of the research is the development of a system called Vedha Paho or Moral Science based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. This system comprises various elements designed to establish a halal ecosystem and create an optimal moral environment for child development.

Abstract

Human resources are an important aspect of an organization that cannot be separated from turnover problems. The high turnover rate remains a serious problem that organizations must minimize. One of the factors that can cause high turnover rates is the employee workload. Despite this, some factors can be highlighted to reduce turnover rates due to high workload, namely, perceived organizational support (POS) and continuance commitment. This study aimed to determine the effect of workload on turnover intention, with perceived organizational support (POS) and continuance commitment as moderating variables. This study used a quantitative method. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed to employees of BMT BIF Yogyakarta. The research respondents were 75 people collected using a saturated sampling method. Data analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in the Smart PLS 3.2.9 application. The results of the study show that there is an influence between workload and turnover intention. In addition, the perceived organizational support variable can also moderate the effect of workload on turnover intention, while continuance commitment cannot moderate the effect of workload on turnover intention. The managerial implications lead to the organization's role to always pay attention to the workload assigned to employees and to increase the perceived organizational support for employees so that turnover intention can be minimized.

Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the impact of mental workload, quality of work life, and happiness at work on job satisfaction among prison officers at Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas IIB Pariaman (n=47). Data were collected through a survey using validated scales. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Cronbach's alpha were employed to ensure the validity and reliability of the instruments. Multiple regression analysis using STATA 12 revealed that both quality of work life and happiness at work have significant positive effects on job satisfaction, while mental workload does not significantly influence it. These findings align with previous studies highlighting the importance of employee well-being in enhancing job satisfaction. Practical implications suggest that organizations should focus on improving quality of work life and fostering happiness at work to boost employee satisfaction, which can subsequently enhance organizational performance. However, mental workload should be managed carefully, considering its potential indirect impact on satisfaction.
