Abstract

Study purpose. This study aims to develop a Project Based Learning (PBL) model based on basic locomotor movement skills and evaluate its effectiveness in learning Physical Education in elementary schools. Materials and methods. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were students of PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL 11 Bima Citywith an initial test involving 20 students and a final test involving 40 students. The measurement instrument for basic locomotor movement skills used the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD), including running, jumping, and hopping skills. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and tests, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using the t-test, N-Gain, and Aiken's V validation. Results. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' abilities after the implementation of the model. The average pretest score (cognitive 66.5; affective 66.8; psychomotor 68.0) increased in the posttest (cognitive 85.3; affective 86.0; psychomotor 88.5). The t-test obtained a value of 30.51 with p = 0.000 (<0.05), N-Gain of 58.18% was in the medium to high category, and Aiken's V validation showed very valid criteria (0.89–0.94). Conclusion: The findings show that integrating TGMD into the PBL framework effectively improves locomotor skills, active participation, motivation, and collaboration, thereby supporting holistic development and enhancing the quality of physical education learning.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pelestarian lingkungan melalui Program Penghijauan Berbasis Partisipasi Masyarakat di Desa Tolouwi Kecamatan Monta. Kegiatan ini diinisiasi oleh mahasiswa KKN Universitas Muhammadiyah Bima dengan melibatkan pemerintah desa serta berbagai kelompok masyarakat sebagai mitra utama. Permasalahan yang dihadapi di lokasi pengabdian meliputi rendahnya kesadaran lingkungan, minimnya ruang hijau, serta kurang optimalnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam upaya penghijauan desa. Metode pelaksanaan PKM menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi sosialisasi lingkungan, perencanaan bersama, penanaman tanaman di lokasi strategis, serta pendampingan pemeliharaan tanaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya perubahan positif pada pengetahuan, sikap dan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap pentingnya menjaga lingkungan. Implementasi teknis penghijauan yang melibatkan masyarakat secara langsung mampu menumbuhkan rasa memiliki dan tanggung jawab bersama terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan desa. Selain itu, kolaborasi antara mahasiswa KKN, pemerintah desa dan kelompok masyarakat memperkuat sinergi dalam mendukung keberhasilan program. Program ini memiliki potensi keberlanjutan dan replikasi karena berbasis pada potensi lokal dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat. Dengan demikian, program penghijauan ini dapat menjadi model strategis dalam penguatan kesadaran dan pelestarian lingkungan berbasis masyarakat di wilayah pedesaan.

Abstract

The development of fundamental motor skills is a key component of physical education; however, the availability of valid and adaptive assessment tools in schools continues to pose a challenge. This study seeks to identify research trends and future directions related to the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD) within the context of physical education learning from 2015 to 2024. Employing a quantitative descriptive bibliometric approach, the study analyzed 111 articles indexed in Scopus. Data processing was conducted using VOSviewer, R, and Biblioshiny to examine publication patterns, researcher productivity, journal contributions, country affiliations, and thematic emphases. The findings indicate a steady rise in publications since 2015, reaching a peak in 2024. The United States emerged as the leading contributor, followed by China, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Indonesia. Additionally, the analysis reveals a shift in research focus from basic motor skill development toward themes of inclusivity and the integration of technology. These results reinforce the role of TGMD as a strategic instrument for advancing innovative physical education practices that are inclusive, responsive to diverse learner needs, and aligned with the demands of 21st-century education. Furthermore, this study offers both empirical and conceptual contributions that can serve as a foundation for policy formulation, evaluation strategies, and future research in inclusive and technology-based physical education.
