Abstract

   ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan bahasa melalui pendekatan whole language dengan setting lesson study pada anak kelompok B TK Widya Kumara Sidhi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan siklus  lesson study.  Penelitian ini dilakukan di anak kelompok B TK Widya Kumara Sidhi dengan jumlah sebanyak 22 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melalui teknik observasi. Indikator keberhasilan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini jika persentase rerata perkembangan bahasa anak mencapai 76% atau berada pada kategori berkembang sangat baik.Hasil penelitian yang didapat terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa untuk semua indikator, yaitu kemampuan memahami bahasa pada pre siklus  sebesar 63,64% (kategori berkembang sesuai harapan), meningkat menjadi 75% (kategori berkembang sesuai harapan) pada siklus I dan 88, 63% (kategori berkembang sangat baik)  pada siklus II. Kemampuan mengungkapkan bahasa pada pre siklus  sebesar 64,77% (kategori berkembang sesuai harapan), meningkat menjadi 75% (kategori berkembang sesuai harapan) pada siklus I  dan 84,09% (kategori berkembang sangat baik) pada siklus II.Kata kunci: perkembangan bahasa, whole language, lesson study

Abstract

Good critical thinking skills are absolutely necessary to form quality human beings according to global developments in the 21st century. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to describe the differences in critical thinking skills in grade V elementary school students between students who follow the scientific learning model based on tri kaya parisudha and students who follow learning with scientific models in science learning. This research is a quasi-experimental research, in this study involving two class groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The experimental design used in this research is pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Hypothesis testing was carried out with an uncorrelated t test using the N gain score. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the critical thinking skills of students who were taught using a scientific learning model based on tri kaya parisudha with students who were taught with a scientific learning model. This is evidenced from the calculation results obtained that the statistical value of F = 6.621 with a significance level smaller than 0.05. In other words, learning with a scientific model based on tri kaya parisudha is very effective for improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study examines the low level of science literacy among students, which is due to teacher-centered science education dominated by lecture methods, a lack of student motivation and engagement, and a lack of student focus during learning. This study examines the effect of the Discovery learning model, assisted by Google Sites, on science education and its impact on the science literacy of fifth-grade students. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The study population consisted of 232 fifth-grade students from SDN Gugus 1 in Buleleng District. Through a lottery, the sample was randomly selected, with SDN 2 Anturan selected as the experimental group of 34 students and SDN 3 Kalibukbuk selected as the control group of 33 students. Data were collected through essay tests. Additionally, data was collected through documentation. The tests were then validated for validity, reliability, and difficulty level. Descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test) were used for data analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the critical t-value (34.522 > 1.669), indicating a significant difference in science literacy between the two groups. Therefore, there was a significant difference in science literacy among IPAS students who were taught using the discovery learning model with Google Sites compared to those who were not.

Abstract

This community service project was conducted to enhance the reading and writing skills of Balinese script among students at Yayasan Dana Punia Singaraja, who have limited access to structured and interactive learning resources. The Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model was selected for its ability to integrate collaborative learning with academic competition, thereby increasing learners’ engagement and motivation. The program consisted of several stages, including initial needs assessment, pre-test administration, implementation of the TGT model supported by digital learning media, guided practice sessions, and a post-test evaluation. The results indicate a notable improvement in participants’ ability to recognize, read, and write Balinese script, as reflected in the increased scores between the pre-test and post-test, alongside positive responses to the game-based learning activities. These findings demonstrate that the TGT model is effective for Balinese script instruction, particularly within heterogeneous learning groups. This program provides a valuable reference for educators and social institutions seeking to develop more adaptive, engaging, and sustainable learning strategies for the preservation and revitalization of Balinese script.
