Abstract

Anacardium occidentale grows abundantly on Lombok Island and is locally known as jambuk nyebet or cashew nut. Currently, the use of Anacardium occidentale is limited to its cashew fruit. Therefore, other parts, such as the flesh of the pseudo-fruit of Anacardium occidentale, are not utilized and are simply thrown away as waste. However, the flesh of the pseudo-fruit can be processed into shredded meat. Based on this description, this study is necessary to determine the potential use of the pseudo-fruit flesh of cashew (Anacardium occidentale) as shredded meat. Shredded meat of cashew is a type of preserved food made from the flesh of the pseudo-fruit of cashew which is processed in such a way that it resembles fibers, then added with spices and fried. Shredded meat is a snack or ready-to-eat side dish. Shredded floss has dry, crunchy, and savory characteristics.

Abstract

Gunung Pujut Ancient Mosque is one of the cultural heritages in Lombok Island. This study aims to determine the diversity and conservation status of plants in the Gunung Pujut Ancient Mosque area. The research was conducted through direct observation, calculation of diversity index and dominance index, and tracing the conservation status of plant species. There are 29 families, 31 genera, and 34 plant species in the Gunung Pujut Ancient Mosque area. This is a stable ecosystem because it has a high diversity of plants. This shows that the cultural heritage area of the Gunung Pujut Ancient Mosque is a suitable habitat for the growth and development of various plant species and plays a role in supporting biodiversity conservation. There is no ecological pressure in this area because it has low plant dominance index.

Gili Meno is one of the popular tourist destinations in West Nusa Tenggara. On Gili Meno there are many accommodation landscapes. This study aims to determine tourist preferences for the accommodation landscape in Gili Meno, West Nusa Tenggara. The research was conducted by purposive sampling. Questionnaires were given to respondents who were tourists. Based on the research, it can be seen that tourists preferences for accommodation landscapes based on ornamental flower plants are higher than leaf ornamental plants, fruit trees, bonsai plants, and palm plants. Therefore, in the accommodation landscape on Gili Meno it is necessary to increase the number of plant groups favored by tourists in the form of ornamental flower plants.
