Abstract

The research aimed at investigating the effect of the liquid organic fertilizer from the cattle dung towards the growth of the strawberry plant, the effect of the cow urine fermented on the growth of the strawberry plant, and the effect of the liquid organic fertilizer from the cattle dung and cow urine fermented towards the growth of the strawberry plant. The research was designed by using complete randomized design with three replications with 36 treatments of the types and concentrations of the liquid organic fertilizer and cow urine. The result of the research indicates that the cow liquid organic fertilizer gives the best results on the plant height and the number of leaves ofthe strawberry plant, whereas the rabbit liquid organic fertilizer gives the best results on the number of flower on every strawberry plant. The addition of the cow urine (50 mL L-1) gives the best result on the growth of the strawberry plant. The cow liquid organic fertilizer (6 mL L-1) and the cow urine(50 mL L-1) give the best results on the plant height and number of leaves, whereas the rabbit liquid organic fertilizer (6 mL L-1) and the cow urine (50 mL L-1) give the best results on the number of flower of every strawberry plant.Keywords: cattle dun, cow urine, growth of strawbery, liquid organic biofertilizer

Abstract

Bertambah pesatnya penduduk mengakibatkan bertambahnya jumlah sampah pada area tersebut sehingga sampah yang bertumpuk lebih banyak mengakibatkan bau yang dihasilkan oleh . Asam ini memiliki dampak buruk bagi kesehatan warga jika tersebar di udara salah satunya yaitu menyumbat sistem pernafasan. Untuk meminimalisir bau yang ada dapat kita gunakan ampas kopi sebagai penyerap bau dari hasil sampingan pembusukan sampah itu sendiri.

Abstract

Kulit buah kakao merupakan limbah yang paling besar yang dikeluarkan sekitar 75% dari buah kakao segar. Kulit buah kakao mengandung protein kasar sebesar 19,27 % dan energy bruto sebesar 4709 kkal/kg. Produksi satu ton biji kakao kering setara dengan 10ton kulit buah kakao segar. Menurut Pulungan et al. (1989), berat kulit biji kakao adalah 10% dari berat biji kakao, sedangkan berat biji kakao itu sendiri adalah 24 % dari berat buah kakao. Kulit kakao hanya biasa dimanfaatkan oleh petani sebagai pupuk kompos dengan cara fermentasi, dalam fermentasi ini petani menutup rapat boks yang berisi campuran bahan organik lainnya, sehingga dalam beberapa hari boks berisi pupuk kompos menjadi panas dan menghasilkan jamur. Dalam hal ini petani juga biasa memanfaatkan kulit buah kakao sebagai pengganti dari karbit untuk mempercepat pematangan buah pisang, semangka dan buah yang lainnya, dengan memanfaatkan panas yang dihasilkan oleh kulit buah kakao.

Abstract

Strawberries are one type of fruit that has high economic value.  The research aimed at investigating the effect of the liquid organic fertilizer from the cattle dung, the cow urine on the production of the strawberry plant, and the effect of the liquid organic fertilizer from the cattle dung and cow urine on the production of the strawberry plant. The research was designed by using complete randomized design with three replications with 36 treatments of the types and concentrations of the liquid organic fertilizer and cow urine.  The result of the research indicates that the cow liquid organic fertilizer gives the best results on production of the strawberry, whereas the rabbit liquid organic fertilizer  gives the best results on the age of fruiting, number of fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight and the production of every strawberry plant.  The addition of the cow urine (50 mL/L) gives the best result on production of the strawberry plant.  The rabbit liquid organic fertilizer (6 mL/L) and the cow urine (50 mL/L) give the best results on the age of fruiting, number of fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit weight, and the production of every strawberry plant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Mengetahui besarnya biaya yang dikeluarkan dan pendapatan yang diterima petani ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung di Desa Sigerongan Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat; (2) Mengetahui prospek usaha ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung di Desa Sigerongan Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat; (3) Mengetahui kendala yang dihadapi petani ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung di Desa Sigerongan Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat; Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan : (1) Rata-rata besar biaya usaha budidaya ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung di Desa Sigerongan Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat Rp. 5.737.419,- dan rata-rata pendapatan usaha budidaya ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung Rp. 1.038.581,- per satu kali panen (4 bulan); (2) Usaha budidaya ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung di Desa Sigerongan Kecamatan Lingsar Kabupaten Lombok Barat Prospeknya layak untuk di kembangkan, hal ini di tunjukan dengan nilai efisiensi 1,2; (3) Hambatan yang dihadapi oleh petani ikan nila menggunakan keramba apung 13 orang responden menyatakan modal, 12 orang responden menyatakan cuaca berpengaruh sebagai hambatan usaha budidaya ikan niila menggunakan keramba apung karena apabila hujan turun 2-4 maka air sungai yang mengalir akan menjadi keruh, 9 orang responden menyatakan sampah berpengaruh sebagai hambatan usaha karena banyak sampah yang hanyut di sungai akan menyebabkan air tercemar.

Abstract

Kaum disabilitas tidak lagi dipandang sebagai orang yang bermasalah atau terbelakang, tetapi sebagai bagian dari masyarakat yang memerlukan kesamaan akses dan inklusivitas. Persamaan peran bagi difabel harus menjadi perhatian utama pemerintah dan masyarakat, termasuk hak atas pendidikan dan penghidupan yang layak, sehingga mereka dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi masyarakat dan negara. Pemberdayaan difabel melalui keterampilan dan pendidikan formal maupun nonformal menjadi dasar untuk hidup mandiri. Pengabdian Kemitraan Wirausaha dilaksanakan selama delapan bulan, dari Desember 2022 hingga Juni 2023, di Desa Taman Ayu, Kecamatan Gerung, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), dengan fokus pada pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat penyandang disabilitas melalui kelompok usaha "Kebun Kesetaraan". Dalam kegiatan ini, difabel dilibatkan secara penuh pada semua kegiatan, seperti pelatihan dan penyuluhan, dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman bahwa mereka penting dan layak untuk dibina dan didampingi agar mampu mandiri dan bersaing dengan masyarakat lain melalui usaha kebun anggur. Pada kegiatan ini, kelompok disabilitas yang tergabung pada kelompok usaha kebun kesetaraan dilibatkan dalam membuat pupuk organik dari kotoran ternak yang merupakan potensi desa Taman Ayu. Tim pengabdian memberikan bantuan berupa bibit anggur impor sebanyak 30 bibit yang ditanam di kebun kesetaraan dengan melibatkan 25 penyandang disabilitas. Hasil pengabdian memberikan manfaat kepada difabel melalui kemampuan hidup secara mandiri melalui usaha kebun anggur dan kemampuan membuat pupuk organic berasal dari kotoran ternak. Hasil dari pengabdian kemitraan wirausaha ini adalah terbentuknya kebun kesetaraan usaha anggur, pupuk kompos dari kotoran ternak, kesepakatan kerjasama antara tim pengabdian dengan kelompok kebun kesetaraan, dengan penandatanganan kerjasama dan petisi pemanfaatan hasil pengabdian dari pemerintah desa Taman Ayu dan kelompok kebun kesetaraan. Science and Technology Empowerment of the Disability Community through Grape Farming Business. People with disabilities are no longer seen as problematic or backward, but as part of a community that requires equal access and inclusivity. Equality of opportunity for people with disabilities should be a top priority for the government and society, including the right to education and a decent standard of living, so that they can make positive contributions to society and the country. Empowering people with disabilities through formal and non-formal education and skills training is the basis for living independently. The Entrepreneurial Partnership Service is implemented for eight months, from December 2022 to June 2023, in Taman Ayu Village, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), with a focus on empowering the economic livelihoods of people with disabilities through the "Equality Garden" business group. In this activity, people with disabilities are fully involved in all activities, such as training and counseling, with the aim of providing an understanding that they are important and deserving of support to become independent and compete with other communities through grape farming businesses. In this activity, the disabled group involved in the Equality Garden business group is involved in making organic fertilizer from livestock manure, which is a potential resource of Taman Ayu Village. The service team provides assistance in the form of 30 imported grape seedlings planted in the Equality Garden involving 25 people with disabilities. The results of this service provide benefits to people with disabilities through the ability to live independently through grape farming businesses and the ability to make organic fertilizer from livestock manure. The result of this entrepreneurial partnership service is the formation of the Equality Garden grape business, compost fertilizer from livestock manure, agreement of cooperation between the service team and the Equality Garden group, with the signing of a cooperation agreement and petition for the use of the results of the service from the Taman Ayu village government and the Equality Garden group.

Abstract

Tanaman Krisan (Chrysanthemum morifolium) merupakan tanaman hias yang memiliki nilai ekonomi tinggi. Pupuk organik cair dari limbah organik mengandung unsur hara cukup tinggi berpotensi dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang terbaik dari limbah sayur terhadap pertumbuhan krisan. Desain yang digunakan adalah Rangcangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 unit dalam ulangan percobaan. Perlakuan pupuk cair berupa 0 ml (K0), 5 ml (K1), 10 ml (K2), 15 ml (K3), 20 ml (K4), dan 25 ml (K5). Parameter pertumbuhan yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), dan panjang daun (cm). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA One-way dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk organik cair dengan konsentrasi 15 ml/L air menghasilkan tanaman tertinggi dan konsentrasi 5 ml/L air (K1) menghasilkan jumlah daun terbanyak.

Abstract

The use of antagonistic microorganisms in controlling plant pathogens is considered an important component in integrated pest control management. The effectiveness of Bacillus subtilis in controlling plant disease-causing pathogens has been widely proven. To simplify application and increase storage time, these bacteria can be formulated in liquid and powder form. This study aims to test the effectiveness of several B. subtilis isolates formulated in powder form to control maize leaf blight. The study was conducted at the Maros Cereal Research Institute. The study was arranged in a completely randomized design consisting of 8 treatments of B. subtilis isolates namely BS-TLB1, BS-BJ6, BS-TM3, BS-TM4, BS -BNt4, BS-BNt5, BS-BNt6, BS-BNt8 and three controls (K1 with the use of synthetic pesticides, K2 with Bipolaris maydis suspension (no formulation) and K3 with no treatment). Parameters observed include the intensity of leaf blight disease which was observed when the plants were 4 MST, 5 MST and 6 MST. The results showed that spraying maize leaves with the B. subtilis formulation had a positive effect on the attack intensity of B. maydis, treatment with BS-BNt4 had the lowest attack intensity, namely 68.00%.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has great potential in the diversity of natural resources that can be profitable. One of the plantation products is coffee, coffee is a plantation product that has a fairly good market and business opportunities at home and abroad. the research objective was to determine the contribution of the coffee business to farmers' income at Mentari womens group in Rempek Village Ganga District. Data collection was carried out using survey techniques, namely direct interviews with respondents and guided by a list of questions that had been prepared beforehand the net income earned by the mentari farming women group is IDR 20,351,000 in one production while the average production of coffee farming in the group is 3,015 pcs per hectare at a price of 15,000. Based on the results of this study it was concluded that the production costs incurred by the mentari women farming group are IDR 24,874,000. The high cost of production is due to the cumulative result of the cost of depreciation of tools and machines used for production. The constraints faced by farmers in coffee farming are climate, environment, production and pests and diseases
