Abstract

The use of internet and social media in Indonesia has become more extensive in recent years. It enables everyone to interact, share, and participate with fellow internet users. Social media has a positive and negative impact, one of the negative impact is cyberbullying. Cyberbullying has been defined as any form of aggressive communication using information and technology to mock others through social media. The content of the message is basically psychological violence or social terror. Digital literacy activities are an important step to avoid the act of cyberbullying. Seeing the importance of this activity, the service team carried out this activity with students in Mataram city namely SMA 1 Mataram. The service team focuses on introducing digital literacy and knowing cyberbullying phenomenon and how to prevent cyberbullying through sharing sessions activities. This activity was attended by 30 participants. The result of this community service show that students have awareness of the dangers of cyberbullying and the legal impacts from this action.

Abstract

Kecamatan Jonggat is a district which consist of several villages that has a huge potential to become village tourist destination. Bonjeruk Village and Sukarara Village are well recognized tourist village existed in Jonggat The tourism awareness of society around is an important thing to be concerned to ensure the sustainability of the tourism industry in the tourist village. The knowledge about pentahelix model is important to realize the society that they are an important part of the tourism in the neighborhood. This article discusses the result of the socialization of tourism awareness toward the youth specifically the students of SMAN 1 Jonggat. The activity is carried out in May 16th 2024 and concluded that the socialization about tourism awareness is needed by the society especially the youth. Tourism awareness education should be intense and done in comprehensive way so that the youth will be fully aware and willing to become agent of tourism in their place.

Abstract

Desa Sade di Lombok Tengah telah menarik perhatian para wisatawan dengan kekayaan budaya dan keindahan alamnya. Namun, untuk memastikan keberlanjutan sebagai destinasi wisata yang menarik, kualitas pelayanan guide lokal menjadi hal yang krusial. Artikel ini membahas tentang hasil penyuluhan mengenai kualitas pelayanan bagi guide di Desa Sade, serta langkah-langkah untuk meningkatkan pengalaman wisata yang berkelanjutan. Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang berasal dari kalangan Dosen Universitas Bumigora melakukan penyuluhan pada Guide di Desa Sade dengan melibatkan 5 Guide lokal sebagai peserta. Kegiatan yang dilakukan pada 3 Maret 2024 ini menyimpulkan bahwa Penyuluhan mengenai kualitas pelayanan bagi guide di Desa Sade, Lombok Tengah, merupakan langkah penting dalam menjaga keberlanjutan destinasi wisata budaya ini. Dengan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik kepada guide tentang pentingnya pelayanan pelanggan dan memperkuat keterampilan mereka, kita dapat memastikan bahwa pengalaman wisata di Desa Sade tetap berkesan dan berkelanjutan bagi semua pihak yang terlibat.

Abstract

Perhotelan merupakan industri yang sangat mengedepankan keramah-tamahan sebagai sebagai faktor utama dalam pelayanan. Area depan hotel yang merupakan tugas dari divisi kantor depan adalah tempat dimana tamu dan staff hotel banyak melakukan interaksi. Interaksi ini terutama dilkakukan oleh para staff front office. Untuk menunjang keramah-tamahan, para staff harus menerapkan etika komunikasi yang baik kepada tamu.  Sebagai salah satu resort bintang lima yang ada di Pulau Lombok, penerapan etika komunikasi sebagai bagian dari keramh-tamahan dirasaperlu untuk diteliti di Aston Senggigi Beach Resort. Metode yang digunakan dalam peelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan analisis statistik. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukan bahwa penerapan etika komunikasi oleh front office staff di Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort adalah sangat baik. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari hasil wawancara dan observasi. Dari indikator syarat penerapan etika komunikasi yang telah telah dijawab oleh para informan, jumlah informan yang menjawab “ya” sebesar 94,5%, jawaban “kadang-kadang” sebesar 3,64% dan yang belum melaksanakan (menjawab tidak) sebesar 1,82 %. Untuk hasil observasi semua front office staff dapat dikatakan telah melaksanakan penerepan etika komunikasi dengan baik.

Abstract

Pariwisata berkelanjutan adalah konsep yang menekankan pada tanggung jawab terhadap tiga pilar utama yaitu lingkungan, sosial, dan ekonomi yang harus diterapkan dalam segala aktifitas pariwisata dan industrinya. Edukasi tentang penerapan konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan sudah seharusnya diberikan pada setiap elemen yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan sumber daya manusia yang akan mengelola pariwisata. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan pada lembaga pelatihan perhotelan yang menjadi kontributor tinggi dalam mencetak sumber daya di industri perhotelan yang merupakan penunjang penting dalam pariwisata. Target penerima manfaat adalah siswa beserta staff dan Instruktur lembaga perhotelan LPKN Mataram. Setelah kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan, terlihat dampak yang signifikan terjadi pada pengetahuan mahasiswa terhadap konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil post-test dimana rata-rata diatas 80% siswa mejawab pertanyaan dengan benar dan sesuai konsep. Edukasi juga diberikan kepada staff dan instruktur dengan berfokus pada pengenalan kurikulum pelatihan berbasis pariwisata berkelanjutan sehingga kedepannya akan bisa diterapkan di lembaga. Familiarisasi konsep pariwisata berkelanjutan pada tingkat Lembaga pelatihan non-formal pariwisata ini adalah upaya untuk mencetak sumber daya pariwisasta yang sadar akan tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan, sosial, dan ekonomi yang harus diperhatikan dalam upaya menjalankan sektor pariwisata.

Abstract

The development of ecotourism-based tourist destinations has become an increasingly popular approach in Indonesia for environmental conservation and enhancing the well-being of local communities. This study aims to analyse the level of local community participation in the development of ecotourism destinations using Pretty's typology of participation and to identify the factors influencing it. The methodology employed is qualitative descriptive data analysis, with data obtained from a literature review encompassing international and national journals, documents, books, and other information sources. The research findings indicate that community participation in ecotourism development ranges from passive participation to self-mobilization, with interactive participation being the most ideal form to ensure social, economic, and environmental sustainability. Interactive and functional participation, where the community actively engages in decision-making and implementation, have been shown to enhance a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the environment and create sustainable economic opportunities. Additionally, the case study in Bale Mangrove Dusun Poton Bako demonstrates that management by the local community can achieve the independence of the tourist destination. By understanding the dynamics of community participation, more effective strategies can be formulated to optimize the role of the community in the development of ecotourism. This will create a synergy between environmental conservation and the improvement of community welfare.
