Abstract

This study examines the influence of carbon risk, climate change exposure, and good corporate governance on the cost of capital in manufacturing companies that go public on the IDX. This study uses a quantitative research approach using secondary data obtained from manufacturing companies that go public on the IDX. The sample consists of 100 observations of manufacturing companies that go public on the IDX, which were selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS"26. Analysis techniques include descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F tests, and hypothesis testing. Partial results show that carbon risk, climate change exposure, and good corporate governance have a partial effect on the cost of capital in manufacturing companies that go public on the IDX. At the same time, carbon risk, climate change exposure, and good corporate governance affect the cost of capital in manufacturing companies that go public on the IDX. The study contributes to the accounting literature and provides practical implications for regulators, managers and investors

Abstract

This study systematically reviews the literature on the ability of sectoral stock indices to predict sectoral economic growth, particularly using mixed-frequency forecasting approaches in emerging markets. The issue is important because stock markets operate at high frequencies (daily or weekly), while sectoral economic indicators—such as industrial output, sectoral GDP, and production indices—are typically available at lower frequencies (monthly, quarterly, or annually). This mismatch creates both methodological challenges and analytical opportunities in integrating financial and real-sector data. Using a systematic literature review, the study synthesizes theories of market efficiency, the relationship between finance and economic growth, and the Mixed Data Sampling (MIDAS) approach. The literature indicates that stock prices may contain forward-looking information related to profit expectations, sectoral demand, financing conditions, and investor sentiment. However, empirical evidence at the sectoral level in emerging markets remains mixed due to differences in market structures, macroeconomic volatility, uneven liquidity, and data limitations. The study concludes that integrating sectoral stock indices with economic indicators through mixed-frequency models offers valuable contributions to macro-financial forecasting, although further sector-specific and country-specific empirical research is still needed..  Keywords: sectoral stock indices; economic growth, mixed-frequency, MIDAS; emerging markets; forecasting; macro-financial.

Abstract

Public-sector organisations in developing countries face increasing pressure to achieve sustainability through responsible innovation and environmentally oriented human resource management practices. This study investigates the direct effect of Responsible Innovation Practices (RIP) on Organisational Sustainability (OS) and the indirect effect through Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) among Indonesian public-sector employees. A quantitative causal-explanatory approach was employed using survey data from 300 civil servants, analysed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that RIP has a significant positive effect on both GHRM and organisational sustainability. GHRM also positively influences organisational sustainability and partially mediates the relationship between RIP and sustainability, indicating that responsible innovation strengthens sustainable outcomes through environmentally oriented HRM practices. These results suggest that public organisations should integrate responsible innovation into recruitment, training, performance management, and reward systems. This study contributes to the sustainability and HRM literature by providing empirical evidence from Indonesia's public sector and highlighting the strategic role of green HRM in achieving organisational sustainability

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of seed and fertilizer assistance programs on the income of rice farmens in Bone Bolango Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression method, based on primary data from 90 farmers selected through an accidental sampling technique. The regression coefficient for the seed assistance variable is 0.395 with a significance value of 0.000, whereas the coefficient for the fertilizer assistance is 0.576 with a significance value of 0.000. This suggest that each increase in the quantity or quality of seed and fertilizer assistance can have a significant effect on farmens’ income. Thus, the policy of providing agricultural production inputs such as seeds and fertilizers has proven effective in increasing farmers’ income.

Abstract

Amran B. Tiban. Analysis of Factors Affecting Corn Production in West Paleleh District, Buol Regency. Undergraduate Program in Development Economics, Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Fahrudin Zain Olilingo, S.E., M.Si. (Supervisor I) and Dr. Irawati Abdul, S.E., M.Si. (Supervisor II). Corn production is one of the key agricultural commodities that supports food security and increases farmers' income. This study aims to analyze the effects of land area, seed usage, fertilizer application, labor, and pesticides on corn production in West Paleleh District, Buol Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach using primary data collected through questionnaires administered to 95 corn farmers selected by proportionate random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Cobb–Douglas production function, transformed into its natural logarithmic form, and estimated through multiple linear regression using Stata. The results indicate that fertilizer and labor have a positive and statistically significant effect on corn production. Meanwhile, land area, seed usage, and pesticide application have positive but statistically insignificant effects. Simultaneously, all independent variables significantly affect corn production. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.5005 indicates that 50.05% of the variation in corn production can be explained by the variables included in the model, while the remaining 49.95% is explained by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings suggest that improving the efficiency of fertilizer application and labor utilization is a key strategy for increasing corn production in West Paleleh District.
