Abstract

Stunting didefinisikan sebagai indeks tinggi badan menurut umur (TB/U) kurang dari minus dua standar deviasi (-2 SD) atau dibawah rata-rata standar yang ada. Stunting yang terjadi pada balita disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, diantaranya akibat gangguan pertumbuhan dalam kandungan, kurang asupan gizi mikro, intake energi yang kurang dan infeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran riwayat pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 6 – 24 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Arjasa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi adalah anak stunting usia 6-24 bulan. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 32 anak stunting usia 6-24 bulan yang diperoleh dengan tehnik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden berada dalam kategori sangat pendek (78,12%), sebagian besar tidak mendapatkan ASI eksklusif (78, 13%), berdasarkan pekerjaan sebanyak 78,1% orangtua responden bekerja sebagai buruh, sebagian besar ibu responden berusia < 20 tahun dengan pendidikan sebagian besar adalah SMP (68,75%), asupan energi defisit (54,15%), asupan Zn sedang (84,15%), asupan Fe defisit (51,06%). Dari temuan penelitian ini dapat disarankan untuk mendorong ibu menyusui secara eksklusif, menerapkan pengetahuan menyusui yang sudah baik dalam membentuk sikap dan tindakan yang baik untuk mencegah terjadinya stunting

Abstract

Salah satu masalah gizi di masa remaja yang dapat mengganggu kualitaspenduduk adalah anemia. Anemia adalah kondisi dengan kadar Hb kurang dari normal yaitu≤ 12 untuk wanita dewasa. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk pencegahandan penanggulangan anemia adalah dengan pendidikan gizi. Pendidikan gizi diperlukanagar remaja mempunyai pengetahuan gizi sehingga penyimpangan konsumsi makan dapatdicegah. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Quasi Experimental Design denganNon Equivalent Control Group (pretest posttest contol group design). Populasi penelitian iniadalah seluruh siswi SMK Farmasi Jember. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknikPurposive Sampling. Penentuan jenis analisis didasarkan pada skala pengukuran variabel.Sebelum dilakukan analisis, data terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas data. Uji normalitasdata yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Shaphiro-Wilk karena jumlah sampel padamasing-masing kelompok < 50. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan ujiWilcoxon karena distibusi data tidak normal. Hasil yang didapatkan terdapat pengaruh yangsignifikan (p=0,000) ada pengaruh pendidikan gizi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan tentanganemia, tetapi tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan (p=0,317) terhadap sikap remaja putriterhadap anemia.

Abstract

The nutritional status of children under five is one indicator of the level of health in Indonesia. Nutritional status can help detect the risk of health problems early. Anthropometric measurements carried out by cadres at the posyandu include measurements of body length, weight and height measurements for infants and toddlers. The ability and accuracy of posyandu cadres in taking anthropometric measurements is very important, this is related to the wrong interpretation of nutritional status as well as decision making and planning for further treatment. The purpose of the study was to analyze the Effect of Posyandu Cadre Training on Anthropometric Measurement Skills. This study used a pre-experimental design research design. The population in this study were 35 cadres of Posyandu in Panduman village. The results of the study The value of the skills of the cadres of TB measurement training for children aged <2 years, pretest was 46.71 in the treatment group and 45.31 in the control group. The posttest in the treatment group was 82.24 while in the control group it was 50. And the value of training cadres in measuring TB for children aged> 2 years Pretest was 52.11 in the treatment group, and 49.33 in the control group. The posttest in the treatment group was 86.32 while in the control group it was 50.63. conclusion; The skills of a cadre in TB will determine the next intervention, errors in measuring TB affect the results of nutritional status data and management carried out. By practicing or simulating, it will be easier for cadres to remember what they have done by themselves and be seen firsthand.

Abstract

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) merupakan satusatunya makanan yang terbaik untuk bayi, karena memiliki komposisi gizi yang paling lengkap untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi. cakupan ASI eksklusif di seluruh dunia hanya sekitar 36% selama periode 2007-2014. Pemerintah   khususnya   Departemen   Kesehatan  Republik  Indonesia  mentargetkan  80  % pelaksanaan ASI ekslusif. Data  Riset  Kesehatan    Dasar    (Riskesdas)    2018 menunjukkan,    tingkat    pemberian ASI eksklusif hanya mencapai 37 persen. Jumlah tingkat   pemberian   ASI   eksklusif   yang sedikit  secara  global  dan  Indonesia, ternyata    semakin    memburuk    dengan adanya  pandemi  Covid-19. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Quasi Experimental Design dengan Non Equivalent Control Group. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 20 ibu kelompok kontrol dan 20 ibu kelompok intervensi. Hasil yang didapatkan sebelum diberikan penyuluhan sebagian besar ibu hamil memilki pengetahuan cukup yaitu pada kelompok perlakuan sebesar 25% dan kelompok kontrol sebesar 37,5%. Setelah diberi penyuluhan, pengetahuan ibu hamil yang cukup dan baik sama besar yaitu masing masing 25% pada kelompok perlakuan dan  sebagian besar memiliki pengetahuan cukup pada kelompok kontrol yaitu sebesar 30%. Berdasarkan penelitian kelompok yang diberi perlakuan memiliki peningkatan pengetahuan lebih tinggi dari pada kelompok kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ibu hamil yang diberikan penyuluhan menggunakan media Audio Visual dapat menerima dan memahami materi yang disampaikan dengan lebih baik

Abstract

The duration of labour is influenced by 3 main factors, namely power, passage, passanger. Control of these factors is thought to be able to influence the duration of labor so as to minimize the incidence of complications caused by prolonged labour.  Maternal nutritional status, one of which is the weight gain during pregnancy, allegedly affects power and passanger as factors that play an important role in labour. This study aims to determine the effect of maternal weight gain during pregnancy on uterine contractions and fetal weight at Srikandi IBI Public Hospital, Jember, East Java. This research is an observational analytic study, a cross-sectional approach with sample size of 92 mothers giving birth at Srikandi General Hospital in Jember. Collected data was analyzed by inferential analysis using path analysis. It was found that the maternal weight gain during pregnancy had a significant effect on the fetal weight (t-value 3.77 with an estimated value of 0.37), but did not affect uterine contractions either in frequency (t-value 1.62) or duration (t -value 0.69). So it can be concluded that the greater maternal weight gain during pregnancy, the greater the fetal weight. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that health workers will provide assistance so that pregnant women pay attention to increasing body weight during pregnancy based on BMI, so that there are no labor complications due to passanger factors.

Abstract

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has set a target to increase exclusive breastfeeding up to 80%. However, this policy has not yet obtained optimal results. Based on data from the Indonesian Health Profile, the coverage of babies who receive exclusive breastfeeding in 2020 is only 66.1%. This is due to several obstacles in exclusive breastfeeding, namely: lack of socialization of the lack of exclusive breastfeeding and the support of health workers, especially midwives, is still considered lacking. This type of research is descriptive quantitative using a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were postpartum mothers in Jember Regency. The number of samples studied was 30 respondents using a purposive sampling technique that met the inclusive criteria, namely: postpartum mothers 1 to 6 weeks, and able to operate android mobile phones. For the exclusion criteria, namely; Postpartum mothers who experience breast problems/abnormalities; and mothers who live in difficult signal areas. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS statistics and Fisher's Exact Test with an alpha value of 5%. The results obtained for the type of delivery were that there was no significant relationship between the type of delivery and the success of exclusive breastfeeding mothers with a value of p = 0.140 (OR = 3.5; 95% CI 0.43-28.13). While the results for the support of health workers who carried out the Fisher's exact test showed that there was a significant relationship between the support of health workers and the success of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding with a value of p = 0.007 (OR = 0.83; 95% CI 0.12 - 5.5). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the need for understanding for mothers regardless of the type of delivery does not affect the success of breastfeeding and the need for support from health workers, especially midwives in helping mothers to successfully breastfeed their babies.

Abstract

Ajung Village is one of the villages in Jember where the majority are farmers and generally depend on obtaining chemical fertilizers. On the other hand, there are youth who are members of Karang Taruna Persada Muda who have the potential to be developed through various activities, considering that currently, their activities are incidental. Therefore, training in making Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) is a useful activity for developing youth and the resulting product can reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers. The methods used in this training activity are delivery of material and discussion, direct practice, and evaluation through questionnaires (pre and post-test). The evaluation results show that the making of LOF training increased the knowledge and insight of Karang Taruna youth in Ajung Village. It is hoped that in the future further training will be provided regarding marketing and manufacturing of other agricultural products.

Abstract

Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) adalah sekumpulan perilaku yang dipraktikkan atas dasar kesadaran sebagai hasil pembelajaran, yang menjadikan seseorang͕ keluarga, kelompok atau masyarakat mandiri di bidang kesehatan dan berperan aktif dalam mewujudkan kesehatan masyarakat.  Penyampaian informasi melalui promosi kesehatan tentang PHBS pada anak sekolah tidak hanya dilakukan di rumah, namun juga harus dilakukan di sekolah. Upaya sekolah dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran akan peningkatan pengetahuan dan penerapan serta pembiasaan tentang PHBS pada siswa masih kurang, sehingga membuat rendahnya pengetahuan siswa tentang PHBS yang rendah dan berisiko menyebabkan terjadinya kondisi sakit dan risiko penularan penyakit. Beberapa cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah kondisi sakit dan risiko penularan penyakit yaitu dengan menjaga hygiene dan sanitasi, termasuk dengan mencuci tangan pakai air mengalir dan sabun selama 20 detik sebelum memegang makanan, setelah BAB dan BAK, serta setelah memegang benda-benda. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyampaian informasi kesehatan melalui penyuluhan dan demonstrasi mengenai PHBS. Siswa-siswi sangat antusias dalam mengikuti demonstrasi dan merespon dengan baik materi yang disampaikan saat penyuluhan. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan demonstrasi didapatkan sebagian besar (85%) menjawab seluruh pertanyaan dengan benar dan sebagian kecil (15%) menjawab kurang tepat. Siswa yang telah memperoleh materi informasi kesehatan memiliki pengetahuan lebih baik daripada mereka yang tidak menerima informasi.

Abstract

The issue of stunting remains a significant challenge in the field of nutrition, impacting the quality of human resources in Indonesia. In Panduman Village, located in Jelbuk District of Jember Regency, the prevalence rate of stunting is notably high at 18.46%. One contributing factor is the low consumption of animal protein and the limited nutritional knowledge among mothers of toddlers. To address this issue, a community service program was implemented, focusing on balanced nutrition education and training on how to prepare dim sum using catfish, which is a local ingredient rich in protein. This initiative involved 30 participants, including pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, mothers of toddlers, and posyandu cadres. The program included nutritional education through lectures, discussions, and evaluations conducted via pre- and post-tests. Participants then had the opportunity to practice making catfish dim sum. The evaluation results indicated an increase in the average knowledge of participants, rising from 65.88 to 72.35. Additionally, participants expressed high enthusiasm for making dim sum.This program has proven effective in enhancing public understanding of the importance of a balanced diet and food diversification based on local animal protein sources. It positively contributes to efforts to prevent stunting. It is hoped that the continuation of this initiative will further improve the nutritional status of the community in Panduman Village.
