Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Penerapan keterampilan menulis wacana narasi dengan metode CTL; (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan menulis wacana narasi setelah mendapatkan pembelajaran menulis wacana narasi dengan metode CTL pada siswa kelas VIII H SMP Negeri 3 Kebumen. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Kebumen pada bulan Oktober sampai November 2013. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII H sejumlah 20 siswa, laki-laki 8 dan perempuan 12. Objek penelitian adalah keterampilan siswa dalam menulis wacana narasi dengan metode CTL. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga kali kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Masing-masing siklus mengacu pada prosedur penelitian yaitu rencana (planning), tindakan (acting), pengamatan (observing), dan releksi (reflection). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes dan nontes. Teknik tes yang digunakan yaitu hasil menulis wacana narasi siswa, nontes terdiri dari hasil observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi foto. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan metode CTL mampu meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menulis wacana narasi. Penerapan pembelajaran menulis dengan metode CTL meliputi: prasiklus, yaitu hasil menulis wacana narasi siswa untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal siswa; siklus I, berisi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi; siklus II merupakan kelanjutan dan perbaikan dari siklus I. Langkah-langkah pembelajaran model CTL yaitu: kembangkan pemikiran bahwa anak akan belajar lebih bermakna; melaksanakan kegiatan inkuiri; mengembangkan sifat ingin tahu siswa dengan membaca; menciptakan masyarakat belajar; menghadirkan model sebagai contoh pembelajaran; refleksi diakhir pertemuan. Dari hasil tes prasiklus terlihat persentase ketuntasan sebesar 35% meningkat menjadi 55% pada siklus I dengan peningkatan sebesar 20%. Setelah dilakukan dengan siklus II persentase ketuntasan mencapai 85% dengan peningkatan sebesar 50% hasil prasiklus, dan sebesar 30% dari siklus I. Berdasarkan hasil nontes yang meliputi observasi, angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi foto, hasilnya juga sangat baik. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode CTL mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis wacana narasi pada siswa kelas VIII H SMP Negeri 3 Kebumen.   Kata kunci: Wacana narasi, Contextual Teaching And Learning

Abstract

Anemia is a medical condition in which the hemoglobin level less than normal. Normal Hb levels in adolescent girls are >12 g/dl. Anemia in adolescent girls is still relatively high. Impact of anemia can be caused the body to become thin and drastically lose weight, shortness, constant illness, and anemia. This literature review identified factors that are consistently associated with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. This research method is a literature review by collecting various databases from Pubmed, Science Direct, Proquest, and Google Scholar. The selection of articles were limited from 2014-2019 and 20 articles were found. Factors that are consistently associated with the incidence of anemia in adolescents girls include the level of knowledge of girl adolescents regarding anemia, iron intake, nutritional status and the duration of menstruation, BMI, category of residence (rural/urban), dietary habits, and infections such as malaria. It is necessary to provide continuous blood supplement tablets to young women from the government and schools so that they can meet their nutritional needs and further research is expected to be able to use different research designs such as case control and cohorts in order to prove a stronger causal relationship, this is because there have been quite a number of studies related to risk factors for the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls.

Abstract

MPI (Message-Passing Interface) merupakan protokol komunikasi untuk pemrograman paralel komputer. Fitur dari MPI adalah data yang disimpan pada setiap komputer sepenuhnya terpisah dari yang tersimpan di komputer lain. Jika satu komputer membutuhkan data dari yang lain, atau ingin mengirim data tertentu ke semua komputer lain, secara eksplisit harus library yang sesuai meminta transfer data. Pada pembahasan ini digunakan virtual mesin sebagai pengganti penggunaan komputer untuk melakukan simulasi pemrograman paralel. Virtual mesin yang digunakan adalah virtualbox dengan jaringan NAT yang telah terhubung. Pada pengujian kinerja Paralel Programming dengan MPI (Message Passing Interface) ini dilakukan proses penggabungan gambar (stitching image) dengan menggunakan ektraksi fitur dengan Scale Invariant Feature Transform. Hasil pengujian pertama menghasilkan kecepatan proses (stitching image) selama 5.79 detik dengan efisiensi 0,132 di node master, kecepatan proses 5.85 detik di node slave1 dengan efisiensi 0,087 dan kecepatan proses 5.87 detik pada node slave2 dengan efisiensi 0,065.

Abstract

Urena lobata L. are known contains secondary metabolites of alkaloids, terpenoids, phenols, flavonoids, saponins and tannins and have very strong antioxidant activity. This causes the ethanolic extract of Urena lobata L. flowers have the ability to ward off free radicals and UV radiation. This research aims was to find out whether the ethanolic extract of urena lobata L. flowers has Sun Protection Factor (SPF) activity and how much value it has. Determination of the SPF value was carried out by measuring the absorbance of the ethanolic extract of Urena lobata L. flowers with concentration of 4000 ppm using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry at 290-320 nm wavelength. The results showed that the ethanolic extract of Urena lobata L. flowers has SPF activity. The average SPF value obtained was 2.43, which is included in the weak category.

Abstract

Roads are land transportation infrastructure that has a very important role in the land transportation sector that supports the continuity of the distribution of goods and services to encourage economic growth in an area. Good road conditions will facilitate community activities, if there is road damage, community activities will be hindered so that accidents can occur. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of damage and the pavement index value for Nagari Koto Kaciak road, Pasaman Regency, so that it could compare the value of the condition of the Nagari Koto Kaciak road, Pasaman Regency based on two predetermined methods. The method used is the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method and the Bina Marga method. Assessment of road conditions in the PCI method is ranked from 0-100 while the Bina Marga method is based on the order of road priority with a value range of 0-7. Types of damage found on Nagari Koto Kaciak road, Pasaman Regency along a length of 2 km, included holes, crocodile skin cracks, patches, block cracks and side cracks. In the PCI method the average value obtained is 66.31 which is a good road condition. In the Bina Marga method, the priority order value is 6, meaning that the road is under periodic maintenance. After comparing the results of the research on the condition of the Nagari Koto Kaciak road, Pasaman Regency with the two methods, it turns out that the results and values are almost the same, namely the condition of the road is still in good condition but requires maintenance so as not to worsen road conditions.

Abstract

Writing skills play an important role in students ' language development, especially at the elementary school level. However, many students have difficulty expressing thoughts and ideas in writing. This study aims to analyze the application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model in improving students ' writing skills and creativity. The Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning Model was chosen because it can integrate writing activities and develop students ' creativity. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the application of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model can improve students ' writing skills, seen from their ability to construct sentences and convey ideas more structured and effective. In addition, student creativity also increased, where students were able to organize ideas, as well as pour them in writing with the right word selection. The CIRC Model also encourages cooperation, critical thinking and student creativity. This study identifies several challenges in its application, so it is advisable to implement the CIRC model with good time management and effective classroom management strategies to achieve optimal results. This study concludes that the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model is an effective approach to improve students ' writing skills and creativity in elementary school.

Abstract

Era Society 5.0 menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk tidak hanya fokus pada penguasaan teknologi, tetapi juga memperkuat karakter kebangsaan sebagai fondasi dalam menghadapi dinamika globalisasi. Penurunan kesadaran nasionalisme di kalangan generasi muda menjadi tantangan tersendiri di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi. Guru, khususnya di jenjang sekolah dasar, memegang peran strategis dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai bela negara sejak dini melalui proses pendidikan yang kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan persepsi guru terhadap urgensi pendidikan bela negara di era Society 5.0, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasinya dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek sebanyak 30 guru sekolah dasar di Gugus 2 Kecamatan Sei Balai, Kabupaten Batubara yang dipilih secara purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru memahami konsep bela negara secara holistik, tidak terbatas pada aspek militer, melainkan mencakup kontribusi aktif dalam pendidikan, penguatan karakter, dan cinta tanah air. Guru menyadari pentingnya pendidikan bela negara sebagai respons terhadap tantangan digitalisasi yang berpotensi menggerus nilai-nilai kebangsaan. Namun, pelaksanaannya masih terkendala oleh minimnya pelatihan, kurangnya dukungan kebijakan, serta beban administratif yang tinggi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi guru terhadap pendidikan bela negara cukup positif, namun diperlukan penguatan dukungan institusional agar implementasinya dapat berjalan optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the dynamics of school leadership at a primary school affected by limited leadership experience and health-related constraints. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and in-depth interviews with several teachers, the findings reveal that the principal adopts a situational leadership style characterized by flexible and delegative practices. The principal places significant trust in senior teachers to carry out daily operational functions and decision-making processes. While this strategy fosters teacher autonomy and ensures the continuity of school activities, it also reveals weaknesses in supervision, quality control, and the symbolic presence of leadership. The lack of direct supervision results in unclear performance evaluations and weak program coordination. The study concludes that the effectiveness of situational leadership relies heavily on the strength of interpersonal relationships among staff and the existence of supportive internal systems. It is recommended that the principal strengthen the management team and establish a more structured communication system to sustain leadership quality and educational standards.

Abstract

Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) adalah sekumpulan perilaku yang dipraktikkan atas dasar kesadaran sebagai hasil pembelajaran, yang menjadikan seseorang͕ keluarga, kelompok atau masyarakat mandiri di bidang kesehatan dan berperan aktif dalam mewujudkan kesehatan masyarakat.  Penyampaian informasi melalui promosi kesehatan tentang PHBS pada anak sekolah tidak hanya dilakukan di rumah, namun juga harus dilakukan di sekolah. Upaya sekolah dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran akan peningkatan pengetahuan dan penerapan serta pembiasaan tentang PHBS pada siswa masih kurang, sehingga membuat rendahnya pengetahuan siswa tentang PHBS yang rendah dan berisiko menyebabkan terjadinya kondisi sakit dan risiko penularan penyakit. Beberapa cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah kondisi sakit dan risiko penularan penyakit yaitu dengan menjaga hygiene dan sanitasi, termasuk dengan mencuci tangan pakai air mengalir dan sabun selama 20 detik sebelum memegang makanan, setelah BAB dan BAK, serta setelah memegang benda-benda. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyampaian informasi kesehatan melalui penyuluhan dan demonstrasi mengenai PHBS. Siswa-siswi sangat antusias dalam mengikuti demonstrasi dan merespon dengan baik materi yang disampaikan saat penyuluhan. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan dan demonstrasi didapatkan sebagian besar (85%) menjawab seluruh pertanyaan dengan benar dan sebagian kecil (15%) menjawab kurang tepat. Siswa yang telah memperoleh materi informasi kesehatan memiliki pengetahuan lebih baik daripada mereka yang tidak menerima informasi.

Abstract

The implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS) is essential for establishing positive habits across a university campus. However, PHBS within the campus environment is often neglected. A significant portion of the academic community has not yet fully adopted these behaviors, as evidenced by practices such as smoking on campus, consuming unhealthy food and beverages, and indiscriminate spitting. This situation is likely due to various factors, including a lack of knowledge about PHBS, insufficient outreach, and inadequate facilities. Poor adherence to PHBS can lead to infectious diseases like eye infections, diarrhea, anemia, and helminthiasis. One effective method to enhance the knowledge and awareness of PHBS among the academic community is through various information media, such as online magazines or e-magazines. Hema-Magz (Healthy Motion Magazine) is an e-magazine development containing information about PHBS on campus. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Hema-Magz media on respondents' knowledge before and after the intervention. This research employed a quantitative design with a pretest-posttest approach, involving 15 respondents from the Tefa House of Health Promotion academic community. The research instrument consisted of 10 questions related to PHBS. The collected data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results indicated an increase in the average knowledge score from 76.6% to 88.4%. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test yielded a p-value of 0.024, signifying a statistically significant difference in knowledge before and after using Hema-Magz. This media is effective in improving knowledge by offering engaging and interactive content. Further development into a mobile application is recommended to achieve a broader reach.
