Abstract

This study discusses the strategy for developing human resources (HR) in Muhammadiyah Charity (AUM) through information technology (IT) training organized by the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IMM) in Baubau City. In the increasingly developing digital era, mastery of technology is a mandatory competency for workers, including AUM employees. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the IT training provided by IMM has a positive impact on improving the competence of AUM employees, especially in managing digital-based administration, using office software. However, there are several challenges in implementing the training, such as the digital gap between generations, limited IT infrastructure, and lack of post-training assistance. Therefore, a sustainability strategy is needed, such as mentoring, improving digital infrastructure, and organizing more specific advanced training to ensure the effectiveness of this program in the long term. By implementing the right strategy, AUM can be better prepared to face the challenges of digitalization and increase competitiveness in providing more efficient and professional technology-based services.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the principal and all levels of teachers in the SD Negeri 2 Baubau school environment in preventing students from carrying out bullying behavior towards each other, whether intentional bullying, verbal or non-verbal. Bullying is the cause of decreased student learning achievement and results in low levels of student self-confidence. This research is field research with a qualitative approach with data collection methods, namely research field observations, interviews and documentation.  The subjects studied were students in grades V and VI at SDN 2 Lamangga. The results of the research show that the school implemented five strategic steps as an effort to prevent bullying in the school environment, including; 1) provide an explanation to students regarding the impact of bullying which will be experienced directly by the victim, 2) build the perception that all students are equal in social status, 3) Provide punishment for bullying behavior directly, 4) Give rewards to students for speaking politely, 5) instill a sense of caring for fellow students.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the murottal method on improving fifth-grade students’ understanding of madd rules in Surah Ar-Raḥman at SDN 3 Katobengke. Madd rules constitute an essential component of tajwid and require auditory sensitivity and consistent practice to distinguish correct elongation length in Qur’anic recitation. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. The participants were 28 students from Grade 5 selected through total sampling. Data were collected using test and non-test techniques. Test instruments included a written pretest and posttest assessing students’ ability to identify madd locations, classify madd types, and determine appropriate elongation length, as well as an oral recitation performance test evaluated with an analytic rubric measuring accuracy of madd duration, fluency, and tempo consistency. Non-test data were gathered through classroom observation sheets documenting instructional implementation and student engagement, supported by recitation recordings as documentation. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and inferential testing using a paired-samples t-test, preceded by assumption checks for normality. Learning improvement was also examined using N-gain to categorize individual progress. The results indicate a significant increase in students’ written test scores and oral recitation performance after the implementation of murottal-based instruction. Observational data further reveal improved student participation, greater awareness of madd segments, and increased self-correction behaviors during practice. The most substantial gains were found in identifying mad ṭabī‘ī and distinguishing madd forms associated with hamzah, while some difficulties persisted in waqf-dependent madd types (e.g., arid li-s-sukun). Overall, the study concludes that the murottal method effectively enhances students’ tajwīd competence in madd rules by providing accurate recitation models and structured repetitive practice, and it recommends targeted reinforcement for waqf-related rules and sustained practice beyond classroom sessions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the Campus One-Stop Service Information System (SISKA) application in supporting the admission services for new students (PMB) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton. The background of this research is based on the importance of digitalizing higher education services to improve efficiency, transparency, and convenience for prospective students. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted at the PMB Unit of UM Buton. The results indicate that the SISKA application has significantly simplified the new student admission process online, from uploading documents and filling out personal data to selecting study programs. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, such as low digital literacy among some applicants, the absence of a user guidance feature, and technical difficulties in uploading documents. The discussion is based on public service management theory and is supported by previous studies emphasizing the role of digital literacy in utilizing online-based service systems. The conclusion of this study is that the SISKA application has significantly supported the one-stop service management system, although improvements in user education and feature enhancement are needed to make the system more inclusive and effective in future implementation.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi mengenai akhlak tercela kepada anak-anak di TPQ Al-Ikhlas Kota Baubau melalui media video kartun animasi. Media animasi dipilih karena daya tarik visualnya yang tinggi dan kemampuannya menyampaikan pesan moral dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan mudah dipahami. Program ini melibatkan 15 anak usia 6–12 tahun, dengan lima sesi pemutaran video animasi yang membahas berbagai topik akhlak tercela, seperti berbohong, sombong, dan malas. Setelah menonton video, dilakukan diskusi interaktif untuk memperkuat pemahaman anak-anak terhadap pesan moral yang disampaikan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan video animasi berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak mengenai akhlak tercela, diikuti dengan perubahan perilaku positif. Anak-anak lebih sadar akan dampak perilaku buruk dan termotivasi untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai positif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan pendekatan ini, program ini memberikan dampak signifikan dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter anak yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini merupakan salah satu dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang sangat penting dilakukan karena materi tersebut sangat bermanfaat di dalam masyarakat. Pengurusan jenazah merupakan fardhu kifayah bagi muslimin dan muslimat, artinya Ketika ada yang telah mengurusnya berarti orang lain sudah terwakili dalam hal mengurusi jenazah. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi pengetahuan kepada masyarakat yang berdomisili di Kecamatan Lasalimu Kabupaten Buton bagaimana tata cara dalam pengurusan jenazah.mulai dari memandikan, mengkafani, menyolatkan dan menguburkan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktek bagaimana pengurusan jenazah yang hasil dari kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat khususnya kepada mereka yang belum sama sekali pernah belajar tata cara mengurusi orang yang telah meninggal dunia. Harapannya kegiatan ini bisa berlanjut tidak hanya sebatas kegiatan pengurusan jenazah tapi juga kegiatan kegiatan yang bersifat keagamaan lainnya seperti rangkaian setelah kegiatan serta orang meninggal dunia (takziah), tasmiyah (pemberian nama) dan lainnya.

Abstract

Budaya literasi merupakan fondasi penting dalam membangun kualitas pendidikan yang berkelanjutan. Namun, di wilayah 3T seperti Buton Tengah, literasi siswa masih tergolong rendah akibat minimnya sarana pendukung dan kurangnya keterlibatan guru dalam pengelolaan kegiatan literasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan budaya literasi melalui program pendampingan pembuatan pojok literasi yang layak dan menarik di SMPN 9 Buton Tengah. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup tahap perencanaan berupa observasi kebutuhan, penyusunan desain ruang baca, serta pelatihan guru terkait strategi literasi yang aplikatif. Tahap pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui kolaborasi aktif warga sekolah dalam membangun pojok literasi, pengadaan bahan bacaan yang sesuai, serta pendampingan guru dalam merancang dan mengimplementasikan program literasi kelas. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pojok literasi yang dirancang secara estetis dan fungsional mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa terhadap aktivitas membaca. Selain itu, kapasitas guru dalam mengelola kegiatan literasi meningkat melalui pelatihan dan praktik langsung, yang mendorong mereka menjadi agen penggerak literasi sekolah. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong terbentuknya komunitas belajar yang kolaboratif antara guru dan siswa. Secara keseluruhan, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam memperkuat budaya literasi berbasis partisipasi dan konteks lokal. Program ini dapat dijadikan model replikatif bagi sekolah-sekolah di wilayah terpencil lainnya yang menghadapi tantangan serupa dalam membangun ekosistem literasi yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penguatan pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu tantangan utama dalam dunia pendidikan dasar, terutama di tengah perubahan sosial dan perkembangan budaya digital yang semakin kompleks. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pendidikan karakter siswa melalui program edukasi berbasis sekolah di SDN 2 Buton. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah edukatif-partisipatif dengan melibatkan guru, siswa, dan lingkungan sekolah sebagai satu kesatuan ekosistem pembelajaran. Program dilaksanakan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan kegiatan, implementasi pembelajaran berbasis nilai, serta evaluasi dan refleksi bersama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis sekolah mampu meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterlibatan siswa dalam menerapkan nilai-nilai karakter seperti disiplin, tanggung jawab, kerja sama, dan kepedulian sosial. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap pentingnya integrasi pendidikan karakter dalam proses pembelajaran dan budaya sekolah. Program ini juga mendorong terbentuknya iklim sekolah yang lebih kondusif dan partisipatif dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter yang kontekstual dan berkelanjutan. Model yang dihasilkan berpotensi direplikasi pada satuan pendidikan lain dengan karakteristik serupa, serta menjadi rujukan dalam pengembangan program pendidikan karakter berbasis sekolah di tingkat pendidikan dasar.
