Abstract

The presence of UIN III Imam Bonjol Campus in Balai Gadang Subdistrict has had a significant impact on the development of its surrounding area, particularly in terms of socioeconomic and educational aspects. This study aims to examine the physical spatial development of the area around the campus and its influence on the local community's socioeconomic and educational conditions. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method and spatial analysis techniques. The analysis process involves the application of the Generate Tesselation: H3 Hexagon method by converting the administrative shapefile data of Padang City into hexagon forms to produce more proportional and analyzable data. Development data from 2012 and 2022 were used for validation and visualization of spatial growth dynamics. The results indicate rapid physical development around the campus, marked by an increase in housing, business establishments, and supporting infrastructure. This development has directly contributed to increased economic activity and improved access to education for the local population. Although spatial deviations were observed in some areas, data validity remains high. The study concludes that the presence of the campus acts as a catalyst for spatial transformation while promoting improvements in the socioeconomic welfare of the surrounding community.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) has been running since 2011. PKH aims to break the chain of poverty, and improve the quality of human resources through education and health. PKH is also one of the social assistance programs relied on by the government through various new policies to ease the burden on PKH participants. The focus of the problem to be achieved in this study is how effective the Family Hope Program (PKH) is. The methodology used in this study is quantitative descriptive by collecting data using observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The data sources obtained include primary and secondary data. The results of research in the field show that PKH in Mount Sarik is not effective in its implementation. This is influenced by several inhibiting factors such as data, errors in data collection and determination of recipients, low awareness of PKH participants, and unproductive use of funds.

Abstract

The imbalance between the availability of health facilities, service needs, and spatial inequality in the distribution of puskesmas (community health centers) can generate various adverse impacts for a region. This study aimed to analyze the spatial distribution of puskesmas in Pasaman Barat Regency using a Geographic Information System (GIS) to determine their distribution pattern and service coverage levels. A descriptive quantitative method with a spatial analysis approach was employed, with total sampling of all puskesmas in Pasaman Barat Regency. The distribution pattern was analyzed using the nearest neighbor analysis (NNA) method in ArcGIS software, with the nearest neighbor ratio, p-value, and z-score as key indicators. The results showed that the distribution pattern of puskesmas in Pasaman Barat Regency is uniform (dispersed), as indicated by a nearest neighbor ratio of 1.271242, a p-value of 0.020308, and a z-score of 2.320612. These values indicate that puskesmas are not clustered but are instead relatively evenly distributed across the entire area of Pasaman Barat Regency. In conclusion, this uniform distribution pattern reflects efforts to equalize the provision of health facilities, thereby potentially supporting improved equity in access to and coverage of health services for the community in Pasaman Barat Regency.
