Abstract

The important need for the development of technology in education requires teachers to be able to use technology proficiently so as to provide effective and innovative learning to students in the classroom. the implementation of observations and interviews conducted by the service team found that not all teachers of SMAN 1 Dewantara used information technology in the learning process. Some teachers have implemented IT-based learning in the classroom but are not maximized in their delivery in class. Based on these problems, the service team conducted IT-based learning application training for teachers of SMAN 1 Dewantara. The training aims to increase teachers' knowledge in the field of technology and can be a reference for teachers in applying active, creative and innovative and fun learning methods in the classroom. The training method is done by inquiry or direct practice. The result of this service activity is that teachers are able to use IT-based learning and can apply it in the teaching and learning process in class. The activities carried out received positive results from the school and hoped that activities like this could be carried out again at a later time.

Abstract

SMK merupakan jenjang pendidikan yang lulusannya diharapkan dapat langsung terjun di dunia kerja atau dunia industri. Saat ini siswa SMKN 7 Lhokseumawe masih belum memahami dan mampu menerapkan budaya kerja, khususnya budaya kerja 5R (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin). Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan yaitu persiapan berupa diskusi dan analisis kebutuhan siswa, pelaksanaan dilaksanakan menggunakan sistem pemberian materi dan sosialisasi materi budaya kerja 5R dan evaluasi yaitu menganalisis peningkatan pemahaman budaya kerja siswa. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menganalisis hasil pretes-postes terkait materi. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan pemahaman siswa saat pretes sebesar 54,67% dan saat postes sebesar 82,67% ini menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman budaya kerja siswa sebanyak 28 poin dan tingkat kepuasan peserta akan kegiatan ini sebesar 88,75% pada kategori sangat memuaskan.

Abstract

At the present time there are still many teachers who apply the lecture method in learning, especially physics so that it does not activate students in the learning process. While at this time students to be able to think critically in the learning process. One of the learning models that can improve students' critical thinking skills in learning is by using Contextual Teaching and Learning. Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is a learning model that provides facilities for student learning activities to find, manage, and discover concrete learning experiences that are linked to students' real lives. So this article was created with the aim of providing references related to learning models which in their application can improve student learning outcomes in schools. This study uses a meta-analysis with the calculation of effect size . Collecting data for this research by reviewing and exploring various journals related to Contextual Teaching and Learning. Abstract

Pendidikan Indonesia saat ini menggunakan kurikulum merdeka dengan sistem penilaian yang digunakan adalah penilaian berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Soal berbasis HOTS ialah istrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Namun, pada kenyataannya guru masih kurang memahami penyusunan soal berbasis HOTS. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pendampingan penyusunan soal berbasis HOTS bagi guru-guru dilingkungan madrasah Barokah Al-Haromain. Metode pada kegiatan pengabdian ini terdapat tiga tahapan yaitu, tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini guru dapat memahami dan menyusun soal berbasis HOTS dibuktikan dengan ada peningkatan dan hasil rata-rata pretest dan posttest yang awalnya 78,99 % pada rata-rata pretest dan 99,5% pada rata-rata posttest. Selain memahami penyusunan soal berbasis HOTS guru juga dapat mengetahui strategi dari penyusunan soal berbasis HOTS.

Abstract

One of the biggest challenges in vocational education is the gap between the skills taught in schools and the actual needs in the industry. *Teaching Factory* provides a solution by integrating industrial processes and technologies directly into the curriculum. The implementation mechanism of this community service program is carried out through stages of needs analysis, partnership offers with industry partners, activity execution, and activity evaluation. The results achieved have successfully improved teachers' ability to design and implement more applicable and industry-relevant learning. Although there were some challenges faced, particularly in terms of limited facilities, this activity has had a significant impact on the quality of learning and the readiness of students to work in the industry

Abstract

Abstract Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education has been widely discussed by academics, especially vocational education. However, the knowledge of vocational students/prospective teachers about Science, Technology, Engineering STEM is still limited. The purpose of this research is to describe the perceptions of prospective vocational teachers regarding STEM. This research is a descriptive research using survey method. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire. The data collected was analyzed using percentage techniques. The results of the study show that there are positive perceptions among prospective vocational teachers about STEM education and they agree to implement the education curriculum in Indonesia. Students stated that the relationship between STEM components was integrated with each other. Most students believe that STEM is suitable for application at every level of education, STEM can link the classroom learning process with the phenomena of everyday life, STEM is suitable for Mechanical Engineering Vocational learning, STEM relates to problem solving abilities, and STEM can be a preference for choosing work in future. Abstract

Earth science is one of the science fields competed in the National Science Olympiad (OSN) for Senior High Schools (SMA). However, not all schools provide earth science as a separate subject, so students often face difficulties in learning complex and multidisciplinary materials. This community service activity was carried out to train students to face the selection of OSN at the district/city level through structured coaching and field practicums in strengthening student competency in the field of earth science. The method of implementing the activity includes 3 stages, namely the preparation and coordination stage, implementation of activities, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in student competency in the field of earth science, on average posttest scores in the range (65-80) compared to the pretest (25-40) on each topic of material, which was also reinforced by the results of the Quizizz application-based practice questions. In the school-level selection, five students were successfully selected to continue to the district-level OSN, and one of them achieved an achievement at that level. Overall, this community service activity has not only succeeded in improving students' academic readiness to face OSN but also strengthened the culture of scientific learning, observation skills, and collaboration between universities and schools to produce a superior young generation in the field of earth sciences.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate student competency outcomes in the Media and ICT for Vocational Learning course within the Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education program, as a basis for developing instructional media integrated with agricultural context. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using midterm and final exam scores from the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The results show that students demonstrated strong conceptual understanding, with an average midterm score of 82.25 and final score of 83.00. However, variations in individual achievement indicate the need to strengthen the applicative and contextual aspects of learning. These findings serve as an initial foundation for designing vocational learning media based on simulations, case studies, and real-world agricultural problems, particularly those relevant to the local contexts of North Aceh and Lhokseumawe.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa laju korosi material berbahan logam pada sistem bahan bakar mesin diesel dengan metode celup (immerse test) dan variasi suhu pemanasan selama 168 jam (1 minggu) sehingga diperoleh data yang menunjukkan pengaruh penggunaan biodiesel (B35) pada kendaraan mesin diesel sejak pemerintah Indonesia menerapkan program mandatori biodiesel B35 pada tanggal 1 Februari 2023, yang mewajibkan campuran 35% biodiesel dari minyak kelapa sawit dengan 65% solar untuk mengatasi kelangkaan bahan bakar tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan mengukur kehilangan berat (weight loss) sampel, dengan spesimen langsung dari komponen sistem bahan bakar mesin diesel yaitu pipa injection pump PS 125 canter yang dipotong beberapa bagian kecil untuk dicelupkan kedalam cairan biodiesel (B35) yang sudah dipersiapkan pada alat uji korosi sederhana yang dilengkapi dengan thermostat pengatur suhu pemanasan dan termometer sebagai alat pengukur suhu biodiesel yang diinginkan yaitu 80⁰C, 90⁰C, dan 100⁰C. Sebuah pengaduk (Agitator) dipasang pada alat uji tersebut untuk menunjukkan proses korosi yang terjadi selama bahan bakar mengalir (bergerak). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kehilangan berat pada spesimen pipa injection pump PS 125 canter dengan suhu pencelupan 80⁰C yaitu 170 mg, suhu pencelupan 90⁰C yaitu 420 mg, serta suhu pencelupan 100⁰C, sebanyak 430 mg dan nilai rata-rata laju korosi pada spesimen pipa injection pump PS 125 canter dengan suhu pencelupan 80⁰C yaitu 8.892 mmpy, suhu pencelupan 90⁰C yaitu 22.312 mmpy, serta suhu pencelupan 100⁰C sebanyak 23.319 mmpy.

Abstract

Abstrak Kehadiran teknologi Artificial Intelligence merupakan inovasi besar dalam dunia pendidikan yang bertujuan mempermudah proses pembelajaran, namun berdasarkan analisis terhadap mitra MGMP Matematika SMA Kabupaten Aceh Tengah ditemukan masalah dalam menghadapi tantangan di dunia pendidikan yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan teknologi terutama AI. Permasalahan tersebut adalah kurang tersedianya media ajar digital. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra akan dilaksanakan kegiatan edukasi dan pendampingan media ajar berbasis Artificial Intelligence. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangakan media ajar berbasis Artificial Intelligence secara kreatif dan efektif. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 15 Takengon mulai dari Juli sampai Agustus 2025. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini adalah kombinasi antara edukasi dan pendampingan. Tahapan pada kegiatan ini yakni, analisis kebutuhan, sosialisasi, persiapan pelaksanaan kegiatan, Edukasi, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah guru yang tergabung di MGMP mampu mengembangan media ajar berbasis Artificial Intelligence menggunakan aplikasi ChatGPT, Lumio, dan Quizizz (Wayground). Secara menyeluruh kegiatan pengabdian dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang media pembelajaran yang dapat mendukung meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Kata kunci: edukasi; pendampingan; media ajar; artificial intelligence. Abstract The advent of Artificial Intelligence technology represents a significant innovation in education, aimed at streamlining the learning process. However, an analysis of the MGMP Mathematics High School (SMA) partners in Central Aceh Regency revealed challenges in addressing the challenges facing education related to technological development, particularly AI. This issue is the lack of digital teaching media. To address these challenges, the partners will implement educational and mentoring activities for teaching media based on Artificial Intelligence. The goal of this community service activity is to improve teacher competency in developing teaching media based on Artificial Intelligence creatively and effectively. This training was conducted at SMAN 15 Takengon from July to August 2025. The method used in this community service activity is a combination of education and mentoring. The stages of this activity are needs analysis, outreach, preparation for implementation, education, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of this community service activity are that teachers participating in the MGMP are able to develop teaching media based on Artificial Intelligence using the ChatGPT, Lumio, and Quizizz (Wayground) applications. Overall, this community service activity can improve teacher competency in designing learning media that can support student motivation and learning outcomes. Keywords: education; mentoring; teaching media; artificial intelligence.
