Abstract

This research delves into the endeavor to fortify Indonesian nationalism through an exploration of the Archipelago Concept and National Resilience, employing a social philosophy approach. The central inquiry revolves around the role that an understanding of these concepts plays in bolstering nationalism in Indonesia. The primary objective is to assess the impact of comprehending the Archipelago Concept and National Resilience on the level of nationalism in Indonesia, while also scrutinizing the role of social philosophy in interpreting the relationship between these concepts and nationalism. Employing a qualitative analysis with a literature study approach, this research explores relevant literature on the Archipelago Concept, National Resilience, and nationalism, utilizing a social philosophy lens to dissect these concepts in the Indonesian context. Findings reveal that a profound understanding of the Archipelago Concept strengthens Indonesia's national identity by emphasizing unity in cultural, geographic, and ethnic diversity. Simultaneously, National Resilience plays a crucial role in fostering love for the homeland through the preservation of sovereignty, security, and welfare. Within the realm of social philosophy, the research demonstrates that the comprehension of both concepts can be reinforced through reflection and critical thinking about their underlying values. Social philosophy aids in formulating the meaning and relevance of these concepts within the Indonesian social and cultural milieu. In conclusion, this research posits that a deep understanding of Wawasan Nusantara and National Resilience positively reinforces Indonesian nationalism, serving as the bedrock for constructing a robust and inclusive national identity capable of navigating global challenges while upholding unity in diversity

Abstract

To realize religious harmony, it is imperative that both Muslims and non-Muslims know the laws of haram and halal. These sacred guidelines, as prescribed by the Qur'an and Hadith, serve as guidance and direction for living a pious life and should be disseminated for the benefit of all. It is not a tool that is used by individuals to forbid or justify anything arbitrarily. This research uses a qualitative method. Data collection through interviews and literature studies. Haram is something that is forbidden to do because it can cause the perpetrator to be reproached, while halal is something that is permitted or not prohibited. Specifically, the Quran and Hadith are used as guidelines for Muslims in determining whether a food is categorized as halal or haram. The relevance of carrying out the laws of haram and halal for Muslims is to make a comfortable life because it results in peace and consistency in carrying out Allah's commands in order to realize a perfect religious life. In connection with the law of haram and halal, moderation or the middle way that is emphasized is about the correct understanding of the law of haram and halal so that people can maintain their attitudes and speech so that they do not easily forbid and justify everything carelessly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi kontekstualisasi Teologi Harapan Karl Rahner dalam Tradisi Naik Dango Suku Dayak Kanayatn dengan fokus pada relevansinya bagi umat Gereja Katolik. Latar belakang penelitian mencerminkan keinginan untuk memahami bagaimana konsep teologi harapan Rahner dapat diaplikasikan dan memberikan dampak dalam tradisi keagamaan lokal, khususnya dalam upacara Naik Dango yang merupakan warisan budaya Suku Dayak Kanayatn. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis bagaimana Teologi Harapan Karl Rahner dapat dikontestualkan dalam pelaksanaan Naik Dango, serta mengevaluasi relevansinya bagi umat Gereja Katolik. Metode penelitian melibatkan studi pustaka, observasi partisipatif, dan wawancara dengan tokoh agama dan masyarakat setempat. Kerangka teoretis mengintegrasikan konsep Teologi Harapan Rahner, aspek-aspek kepercayaan dan praktik kebudayaan Suku Dayak Kanayatn, serta pertimbangan teologis dalam konteks Gereja Katolik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Teologi Harapan Rahner dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam memahami dan menghormati Tradisi Naik Dango, dengan potensi untuk memperkuat ikatan antara Gereja Katolik dan masyarakat lokal.

Abstract

The focus of research in this paper is the impact of industrial waste on the Metro River, Bandulan, Malang. The Metro River is one of the small rivers in Malang City which is used by the local community to meet their daily needs. This research study uses the method of studying the encyclical Laudato Si' issued by Pope Francis in response to current environmental problems. From the research studies that have been carried out, researchers found several things that have not been answered by several figures regarding river water pollution by industrial waste. First, industrial waste threatens the survival of future generations. Second, pollution of river water by factory waste will cause or cause disease in those who use the river water. Third, the underground water that people use and suck for consumption may be polluted by industrial waste. Another important issue is that it is very difficult to prevent waste from being dumped into rivers, because some of the residents who work in industry are residents who live around the Metro River. Human awareness is needed to protect and care for the earth so that the earth becomes a safe place for all living creatures to live. In the encyclical Laudato Si', Pope Francis invites humans to love and pay attention to the environment. Allah has created this earth well.

Abstract

Young people are often vulnerable to radicalism that spreads through social media. This study uses library research to explore Lewis A. Coser's Conflict Theory and how radicalism impacts young people online. This study seeks to understand the adverse impact of radicalism on young people and offer strategies to overcome its negative influence. The method used is a literature analysis to understand the relationship between radicalism and social media. The aim is to identify ways to avoid the spread of radicalism among young people and to propose preventive measures. Young people have an important role to play in countering radicalism. Some of the steps that can be taken include improving digital literacy so that they can filter the information they receive, promoting understanding of global issues to prevent extremism, and practicing the principles of Pancasila, particularly Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, to strengthen their sense of nationalism and diversity. This research underscores the importance of the media's contribution to providing positive information that helps steer young people away from radicalism. In addition, this research shows that preventive action from young people is crucial in maintaining unity and preventing social conflicts that may arise due to radicalism. Hopefully, the younger generation can become effective agents of change in keeping Indonesia plural and multicultural.

Abstract

The Dayak Philosophy "Adil Ka' Talino, Bacuramitn Ka' Saruga, Basengat Ka' Jubata" and Senggayung music have a close relevance in the context of culture, identity, spirituality, and creative expression of the Pesaguan Dayak tribe. The purpose of this study is to determine the meaning of Pesaguan Dayak Senggayung Music in the Light of the Philosophy of "Adil Ka' Talino, Bacuramitn Ka' Saruga, Basengat Ka' Jubata" and its relevance to the lives of Dayak indigenous people in general. The methodology used in this paper uses qualitative research that is done through a phenomenological point of view. The findings in this study that the meaning of Pesaguan Dayak Senggayung Music according to the light of the "Adil Ka' Talino, Bacuramitn Ka' Saruga, Basengat Ka' Jubata" philosophy is so profound and relevant in the lives of Dayak people in general. This research is very contextual to the current situation, especially for the younger generation to love culture and philosophical thoughts from their own culture so that the same desire arises to maintain and preserve Dayak cultural customs with full awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pemaknaan nilai hidup oleh Suster Pasionis Komunitas Ciliwung Malang dalam penanganan perempuan hamil di luar nikah, sebuah isu yang sering kali menimbulkan dilema etika dan moral dalam masyarakat modern. Suster Pasionis, sebagai bagian dari komunitas keagamaan, memainkan peran penting dalam memberikan dukungan moral, spiritual, dan praktis kepada perempuan yang menghadapi kehamilan di luar nikah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami cara Suster Pasionis mendefinisikan dan menerapkan nilai-nilai hidup dalam mendukung perempuan hamil di luar nikah, dan mengeksplorasi hubungan antara etika dan nilai-nilai hidup dalam konteks ini. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi tantangan dan dilema etika yang dihadapi Suster Pasionis dalam memberikan bantuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Kerangka penelitian didasarkan pada konsep etika relasionalitas, yang menekankan hubungan antar manusia sebagai bagian dari jaringan sosial yang lebih besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Suster Pasionis mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai hidup yang mencerminkan kesadaran sosial dan spiritual, memberikan dukungan yang konstruktif bagi perempuan hamil di luar nikah. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif dalam mengatasi tantangan etika dan moral yang berkaitan dengan kehamilan di luar nikah, memberikan kontribusi signifikan pada praktik keagamaan dan layanan sosial.

Abstract

This article focuses on the face of women in Levinasian face ethics. The author raises issues related to the increasing phenomenon of violence against women in Indonesia. This fact shows that women in Indonesia are still neglected. According to Levinasian face ethics, this paper intends to criticize the problems that occur from a philosophical point of view. The method of discussion of this paper is a critical analysis of cases of violence against women in the household in the light of Levinasian face ethics. Forms of violence against women in Indonesia are strongly influenced by a patriarchal culture that places the position and status of men above women. This cultural model opens up space for male superiority over women. The concept of Levinasian face ethics is an effective tool in minimizing acts of violence against women in the household. The author arrives at the finding that the root of the problem behind the rampant cases of domestic violence in Indonesia is the failure to understand the existence of women and weak law enforcement. Levinas' ethics of responsibility provide new treasures for understanding Indonesian society, namely that the existence of women is part of everyone's responsibility. A woman's face is how "she" shows herself. I came to the finding that the presence of women in the order of living together demands my responsibility, which is none other than respect for her. It is a form of engagement for the well-being and peaceful lives of others.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of divorce which often occurs to overcome problems in family life. This study was conducted to analyze Tarangk Customary Law regarding divorce and elaborated from the perspective of Catholic Church teachings. The existence of laws regarding divorce in Tarangk Customary Law becomes a problem when compared with Church Law. The aim of this research is to find out the pastoral steps taken by the Catholic Church in dealing with problems that occur, especially regarding domestic problems that lead to divorce. The author uses a qualitative descriptive research method to describe the Tarangk Customary Law regarding divorce and the Church's teachings regarding marriage as well as finding a solution. The main source used in this study is the Book of Canon Law, while supporting sources are several relevant scientific articles and books. The author found that the Catholic Church took pastoral steps by 1) holding Marriage Preparation Courses (MPC), 2) providing catechesis on Catholic marriage, 3) providing sexuality education, 4) involving community leaders and catechists to proclaim the Church's teachings on marriage, 5) renewing marriage vows, 6) and making an agreement to give equal respect to Church law and customary law. These pastoral steps, especially in addressing the Tarangk Customary Law regarding divorce, can be used by Churches that have such pastoral challenges.

Abstract

This study analyzes the Sabat Sebatatn marriage custom in Banua Simpakng and compares it with the marriage ceremony in the Catholic Church through a literature study approach. Through in-depth analysis of relevant texts and literature sources, the research illustrates the essential differences between the two marriage systems. The Sabat Sebatatn custom in the local cultural context of Banua Simpakng emphasizes family and community togetherness in a series of rituals rich in meaning. Catholic Church marriage, on the other hand, is spiritually oriented with an emphasis on spiritual commitment between the couple. This comparison provides insight into how marriage customs and religion co-exist in shaping marriage norms in society. By integrating a qualitative perspective and desk research, this study provides a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between local traditions and global religion in the context of marriage.
