Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping the character and ethics of students at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah, Ciruas, Serang, Banten. Amidst the challenges of globalization and modernization that bring changes in values and behavior, PAI plays a strategic role in instilling moral, spiritual, and social values in students. Religious education not only teaches religious knowledge but also shapes attitudes, behaviors, and mindsets in accordance with Islamic teachings, enabling students to cope with diverse environmental influences. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research informants consisted of PAI teachers, students, the principal, and homeroom teachers, thus obtaining a comprehensive picture of the implementation of PAI at the madrasah. The results show that PAI makes a significant contribution to the formation of student character, particularly in aspects of religiosity, discipline, responsibility, honesty, tolerance, and courtesy. Learning strategies used include habituating worship, teacher role models, enforcing school rules, and integrating Islamic values into all subjects. Additionally, extracurricular activities such as religious study groups, Islamic holiday commemorations, and Quran memorization programs are also effective tools for strengthening students' character. However, this study also identified several challenges, including low parental involvement in children's character development, negative environmental influences, and limited variety of learning methods. Therefore, synergy between madrasahs, families, and the community is needed to create an educational ecosystem that supports comprehensive and sustainable character development. Through this collaboration, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is expected to provide a strong foundation for creating a generation with noble character and competitiveness in the modern era.

Abstract

Disaster education is an important focus in implementing the kurikulum merdeka in Indonesia. This research examines the challenges and strategies related to integrating disaster education into the curriculum. A survey was conducted at several schools in the Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This area is vulnerable to disasters, and to understand the dynamics of disaster education at the school level. The main challenges include integrating disaster material into existing curriculum substance, the readiness of educators to deliver the material effectively, and the availability of adequate resources. In addition, public awareness, the lack of emphasis on disaster education, and the need for continuity in educational programs are also the focus of this research. The results of this research can provide in-depth insight into the challenges faced as well as strategies that can be adopted to overcome obstacles in integrating disaster education into the kurikulum merdeka. The implications of these findings can help improve and develop more effective disaster education strategies in the Indonesian educational environment.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara yang memiliki tingkat kerawanan terhadap bencana alam yang relatif tinggi. Data kejadian bencana alam di Indonesia tahun 2023 sebanyak 4.800 kejadian bencana dan tahun 2024 sebanyak 2.093 kejadian bencana. Kesiapsiagaan sekolah dan peserta didik menjadi kunci penting dalam membangun strategi saat menghadapi bencana karena masih terdapat bencana yang tidak bisa diprediksi kapan akan terjadi. Guru bimbingan dan konseling harus memiliki dasar pengetahuan dan kemampuan menghadapi situasi bencana baik itu pada saat pra bencana, saat terjadi bencana dan setelah bencana. Pemberian layanan bimbingan dan konseling menjadi salah satu Langkah yang tepat dalam upaya peningkatan kesiapsiagaan peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur sebagai metode penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan guru bimbingan dan konseling (BK) berperan penting dalam memberikan pendidikan kesiapsiagaan bencana seperti informasi mengenai jenis bencana, cara melindungi diri dari bencana, serta langkah-langkah yang harus diambil peserta didik saat bencana terjadi. Selain itu, guru BK berperan dalam mendukung layanan psikososial kepada peserta didik dengan membantu melatih pengelolaan kecemasan dan ketakutan mereka terhadap bencana serta memberikan strategi pengelolaan emosi seperti teknik relaksasi untuk meningkatkan dukungan psikososial yang tepat.

Abstract

Mistakes in understanding perception result in gaps in thought patterns and behavior. The aim of this research is to determine the condition of behavior of victims of verbal bullying , to find out the stages of efforts of REBT-based individual counseling services in dealing with students due to verbal violence. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. Qualitative research is based on primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through participatory observation , in-depth interviews with three students who were victims of bullying and one guidance and counseling teacher, documentation in the form of counseling protocols and counseling record cards. This research shows that counseling (REBT) is effective in dealing with students who are victims of verbal bullying. Guidance teachers explore component A (events), component B (beliefs and thoughts), and components C/D/E (feelings, behavior and results). After students internalize REBT, there is a change in attitude and positive perception of the negative impacts they experience. This research found several changes in thought patterns, increased morality, solidarity and increased awareness of the strength of personal mentality due to verbal violence. Aspects of students' mental development become better after individual counseling.

Abstract

Bujel Village which is located in Mojoroto District in Kediri City is one of the villages affected by the flood. Geographically, the area of Kediri City which is located between 2 mountains and crossed by the Brantas River has the potential to be affected by the flood disaster. This community capacity building activity through the Disaster Resilient Village program aims to increase the capacity and resilience of the apparatus and community of Bujel Village in dealing with disasters. The method used is a participatory survey method, lectures, discussions, direct practice, observation, community assistance, pretest, posttest and evaluation. The results obtained that there are many benefits from this community capacity building activity and an increase in the score between pretest and posttest with an initial average of 55.75 to 77.5. An increase in score of 21.75.

Abstract

The situation and condition of the universe has a great influence on individual attitudes and environmental changes. Failure to create environmental friendliness can be seen from unstable natural conditions such as floods, earthquakes, landslides. This change is caused by a lack of awareness, low environmental care from individuals, and the surrounding community. The purpose of this study is to provide students with an understanding of the causes of natural disasters, how to respond appropriately so as not to harm the community when natural disasters occur as part of preventive measures through the provision of information services. This research uses qualitative-descriptive method. Interview data collection techniques and documentation. the main informants consisted of 4 5th semester students and 2 BKPI lecturers supporting informants. The research results obtained from interviews with BKPI students in semester 5 include their self-understanding of natural disaster situations that have not been able to be handled properly. This cause becomes a joint evaluation of the community, students, and the local government to prioritize the provision of disaster preparedness information services. Information services have an important role in increasing knowledge and self-understanding for each individual to respond to disaster situations with stable emotional conditions, minimizing anxiety levels and being able to adapt well to adaptation in the post-disaster environment.

Abstract

This article has a focus on the role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in schools in carrying out the Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) program with the case study BPBD Bantul Regency. This is because Indonesia is a country with a high level of natural disasters because it is at the confluence of various earth plates. Meanwhile school is the second place for students to seek and gain knowledge after being at home, especially in studying potential disasters that can occur in the environment where they live. It should be noted that in 2006 an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 occurred in Bantul Regency which resulted in fatalities and heavy losses, including educational facilities. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of BPBD Bantul Regency in disaster management in schools so far and to know and see how the Disaster Safe Education Unit program in Bantul Regency is running. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained are that the BPBD within the scope of the school plays a role in educating children to have a more disaster preparedness attitude, helping facilitate school needs, and introducing disaster education from an early age. The SPAB program is carried out to build resilience in dealing with disasters by school members, one of whose efforts is to provide material about disasters. BPBD encourages schools in Bantul Regency to incorporate disaster material into their learning and extracurricular.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high level of disaster vulnerability due to its location at the meeting point of three world tectonic plates and the Pacific Ring of Fire region. The Merdeka Curriculum provides a strategic opportunity in integrating disaster education to equip students with understanding, skills, and responsive attitudes to disaster risks. Through a contextual and participatory approach, schools can become centers of preparedness that not only train students but also strengthen collective awareness in dealing with emergency situations. The purpose of this study is to analyze the synergistic relationship between the Merdeka Curriculum and disaster education to strengthen preparedness in educational units in Indonesia. The method used in this study is a literature study. The results of the study show that the Merdeka Curriculum opens great opportunities for strengthening disaster education through integration in various subjects and strengthening student character in accordance with the Pancasila Student Profile. Although there are still implementation challenges, such as limited teacher understanding and lack of national standards, holistic strategies, policy support, and cross-sector collaboration can encourage the realization of effective, sustainable, and contextual disaster education in educational units.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a country with a high level of disaster vulnerability, faces an increased risk of communicable diseases during the emergency response phase due to disrupted sanitation, limited access to clean water, overcrowded evacuation shelters, and weakened health services. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of health workers in health education and the prevention of communicable diseases during disaster emergency response. The method used is a literature review of relevant national and international scientific articles. The findings indicate that health workers have a multidimensional role, not only as providers of curative services but also as educators, change agents, advocates, and collaborators in promotive and preventive efforts. Effective health education, participatory risk communication, strengthened epidemiological surveillance, and the implementation of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) are key strategies to reduce the risk of communicable disease outbreaks. However, implementation in the field still faces challenges, including limited resources, cross-sectoral coordination constraints, heavy workloads, and suboptimal disaster-related policy systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Therefore, strengthening the capacity of health workers through training, policy support, and community-based approaches is necessary to enhance health system resilience in responding to disaster crises.
