Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide motivational reinforcement, dissemination of information, and efforts to build awareness of high school students (SMA) equivalent to the urgency of continuing study to university which has implications for education, career, and family economic income. The method of service implementation is carried out in the form of socialization and motivational training in each selected sample school. There are five sample schools with a total target of 12th-grade high school students. The description of this activity is reviewed from the stages of activity planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities. Data collection techniques in evaluating this activity use pre-test and post-test in the form of direct questions about students' interest in continuing their studies in college. The technique of analyzing the results of the evaluation uses a comparison of the number of students who are interested in further studies during pre-training and post-training. The results of this service activity showed that educational activities for the continuation of studies up to university were quite effective. This is evidenced by the increase in the number of students who are interested in further studies after the education or socialization process is carried out. With these results, it is hoped that similar activities will be held in the coming year for different students so that the continuity of study is evenly distributed among all high schools

Abstract

The existence of a market is very helpful, not only for local and central government but also for the community. Currently the local government of Sorong City has built a modern market to relocate the existing market in Boswesen to the modern market in Rufei. This is because the sales stalls owned by traders are considered inadequate and also not neatly arranged, especially since the market is located on the side of the road so that it can disturb road users and will also disturb the people who are going to shop. However, until now traders in the Boswesen market still don't want to move to the modern market. This research aims to find out how people perceive relocation to modern markets and also why traders are still reluctant to move there. To explain this, we use a qualitative approach with data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the following conclusions are obtained: 1) There are two perceptions of traders regarding the relocation from the boswesen market to the modern market. There are those who agree and also those who disagree. With a percentage of 35% of traders do not agree with the relocation to modern markets and 65% of traders agree with the relocation. 2) There are several reasons why traders do not want to move to the modern market, namely because only some traders have moved to the modern market and some of them live in the Boswesen market, the location is far away and the selling stalls in the modern market are smaller in size, and also the costs they will incur in the modern market are greater than those in the Boswesen market.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much impact or influence arises from product quality and Islamic design on Muslim consumer satisfaction on Arung Meubel sofa products in the city of Sorong. To achieve this goal, the research method used is quantitative. The data in this study were obtained through a questionnaire with respondents (consumers of Arung Furniture). The number of samples used in this study were 30 respondents. Data analysis techniques in this study used multiple linear regression, f test, coefficient of determination (simultaneous), and t - test (partial). The results of the study show that product quality and Islamic design have a significant effect on Muslim consumer satisfaction. Based on the results of the validity test, reliability test and hypothesis testing, namely the simultaneous test (f - test), the coefficient of determination, and the partial test (t - test) product quality (X1) and design (X2) showed that the results of these tests show a significant effect on consumer satisfaction (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of population growth, inflation rate, and foreign direct investment on economic growth in eight developing countries from the perspective of Islamic economics. Secondary data were sourced from the World Bank for the period 2016 to 2021. Panel data regression analysis was employed to test the established hypotheses, considering these independent variables. The results indicate that population growth, inflation rate, and foreign direct investment do not have a significant effect on economic growth in these countries during the study period. These findings are interpreted within the framework of Islamic economics, which emphasizes principles of economic justice, wealth distribution, and resource management in accordance with Shariah law. This research provides deep insights into how conventional economic factors interact with Islamic economic principles and their implications for economic policy in developing countries

Abstract

This study employs an Islamic economic perspective to investigate the impact of macroeconomic factors on the Balance of Payments (BOP) in ASEAN-6 countries, incorporating the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) as a moderating variable. Utilizing panel data regression and moderated regression analysis (MRA), panel data regression is carried out in two stages, namely in the first stage determining the estimation model, it must be known first which model is the best between CEM, FEM and REM. The second stage is the selection of the estimation model starting from the Chow test, Hausman test and Lagrange Multiplier (LM) test. the study examines data from Transparency International (TI) and the World Bank. A total of 168 samples from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam were analyzed. The results indicate that while tourism, inflation, and exchange rates do not significantly affect the BOP, both portfolio investment and net exports have a substantial positive impact. Additionally, the CPI is found to be a significant moderating variable. The study’s findings suggest several strategies for managing volatile global economic conditions, highlighting the importance of focusing on variables that positively influence the BOP. These insights can guide the ASEAN-6 governments in maintaining or enhancing factors that contribute to a stable BOP, ensuring economic resilience in the region

Abstract

This service evaluates the impact of village fund management on improving community welfare in Warmon Kokoda Village, Mayamuk District, Sorong Regency. By applying Islamic economic principles that emphasize justice, transparency, and accountability, this study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches to assess changes in various indicators of community welfare, including education, health, income, and access to social services. Through surveys and interviews with local residents, the results of the service show a real increase in community welfare, which is driven by effective and participatory fund management. These findings provide empirical evidence supporting the use of village funds as a tool for village development and community empowerment, recommending management strategies that can be adapted to different contexts to achieve broader and more inclusive outcomes.

Abstract

Cassava is a food plant that can be used as both a light and heavy food preparation. Cassava is a raw material that can be processed into products to support the community's economy. This service presents about building santripreneurs through training with innovations in processed cassava products at Pondok Modern Al-Ghuroba Sorong. The aim of the activity is to provide knowledge and skills to female students to process cassava as food that has a higher selling value. The implementation method used is: 1). Observation of training places, 2). Identify training needs, 3). Training program model design, 4). Implementation of training and development programs, 5). Evaluation of service, 5). Final training report. Implementation of service activities by the production team with the Proll Tape business idea and carried out for 1 (one) day, namely on Saturday, 30 September 2023 at Pondok Modern Al-Ghuroba Sorong which is located at Jl. Flamboyan, Klasuluk sub-district, Mariat District, Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province. Participants took part in the activity with great enthusiasm and turned the activity into additional knowledge and skills for the female students. And Pondok Modern Al-Ghuroba Sorong is an educational institution that educates by balancing academics and skills for its students to keep up with developments

Abstract

Pelatihan merupakan proses pendidikan jangka pendek dengan menggunakan prosedur yang sistematis, sehingga para santri dan santriwati dapat mengetahui teknik pengerjaan dan keahlian dalam tujuan tertentu. Kedatangan tim mengadakan pengabdian dengan tema Peningkatan Keterampilan Santri Melalui Pelatihan Ide Bisnis Di Panti Asuhan Muhammadiyah Sorong. Kegiatan dihadiri oleh penghuni panti yaitu para santri dan satri putrid sebanyak 20 peserta. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian yang tim lakukan beberapa tahap yaitu : 1). observasi; 2). perizinan; 3). pelatihan; 4). Penguatan materi; 5). evaluasi dan diskusi; 6). laporan akhir. Tahap pelaksanaan pelatihan tim melaksanakan serangkaian kegiatan sebagai berikut: 1). penjelasan materi tentang ide bisnis dan produk yang akan diangkat yaitu es ceria; 2). latar belakang pemilihan produk untuk diangkat; 3). menjelaskan perhitungan harga pokok produksi; 4). praktek produk; 5). diskusi. Kegiatan pelatihan Ketrampilan ide bisnis yang tim lakukan dengan tujuan para santri dan santriwati memiliki skill dan ketrampilan dalam membuka bisnis serta memiliki pemahaman dalam bisnis yang ingin dibuat.

Abstract

Enhancing Islamic financial literacy and utilizing digital financial systems are crucial, particularly for women in the Al-Muhajirin Majelis Taklim community in Sorong City. This group often faces challenges in financial management, highlighting the need for greater understanding of sharia-compliant financial principles. This community service program aims to provide education through lectures, reinforcement by lecturers, and interactive discussions. An innovative approach through interactive Islamic preaching podcasts was also used to present material in a more engaging and relevant manner. The program has demonstrated improvements in participants’ understanding and skills in managing finances according to Islamic principles, as well as in safely using digital financial technology. The success of the activity is evident from the high level of community participation, strengthening Islamic financial literacy among majelis taklim members. It is expected that this program will serve as a sustainable model for empowering sharia-based financial literacy.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh review produk dan affiliate marketing terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen pengguna shopee di Kota Sorong dengan minat beli sebagai variabel intervening. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini kuesioner dengan teknik accidental sampling digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah konsumen pengguna shopee di Kota Sorong dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 85 Responden. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan sofware Smartpls versi 4.1.0.2. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) Review produk tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian, 2) Affiliate marketing berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian, 3) Review produk berpengaruh terhadap minat beli, 4) Affiliate marketing berpengaruh terhadap minat beli, 5) minat beli berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian, 6) minat beli mampu memediasi pengaruh review produk terhadap keputusan pembelian, 7) minat beli mampu memediasi pengaruh affiliate marketing terhadap keputusan pembelian. ABSTRACTThe aim of this research is to determine the influence of product reviews and affiliate marketing on consumer purchasing decisions of Shopee users in Sorong City with purchase interest as an intervening variable. This research uses quantitative methods with an associative approach. Data collection in this research was a questionnaire with accidental sampling technique used to collect data. The population in the study were Shopee consumers in Sorong City with a sample size of 85 respondents. The research data analysis technique uses Smartpls software version 4.1.0.2. The results of this research are: 1) Product reviews have no effect on purchasing decisions, 2) Affiliate marketing has an effect on purchasing decisions, 3) Product reviews have an effect on buying interest, 4) Affiliate marketing has an effect on buying interest, 5) Buying interest has an effect on decisions purchasing, 6) purchasing interest is able to mediate the influence of product reviews on purchasing decisions, 7) purchasing interest is able to mediate the influence of affiliate marketing on purchasing decisions.
