Abstract

AbstractCommunity service activities began with the problem of limited S1 graduates in the Social Education field to continue their education to the postgraduate level in Aceh Province, especially in Bireuen Regency. The objectives of community service activities are 1) as a manifestation of the Tridarma of Higher Education lecturers in the Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Almuslim University, 2) to provide feedback on curriculum development by stakeholder needs before it is implemented. The implementation of community service activities was carried out at the Ampon Check Peusangan Hall, Almuslim University. The results of community service activities included stakeholders strongly supporting the sustainability of the Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Almuslim University in improving the quality of education in Aceh Province, especially Bireuen Regency. The service results were a curriculum draft for the Social Studies Education Study Program.AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berawal dari permasalahan keterbatasan lulusan S1 Bidang Ilmu Pendidikan Sosial untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke tingkat S2 di Provinsi Aceh, terutama Kabupaten Bireuen. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah 1) Sebagai wujud Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dosen pada Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Almuslim, 2) Memberikan umpan balik tentang pengembangan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan stakeholder sebelum diimplementasikan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Gedung Aula Ampon Check Peusangan Universitas Almuslim. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain stakeholder sangat mendukung keberlanjutan Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Almuslim dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Provinsi Aceh, khususnya Kabupaten Bireuen. Hasil pengabdian berupa draft kurikulum Program Studi Magister Pendidikan IPS.

Abstract

Penguatan keterampilan emosional siswa merupakan aspek penting dalam pendidikan dasar, karena kecerdasan emosional berperan besar dalam membentuk karakter, kepemimpinan, dan kemampuan sosial siswa. Namun, masih banyak ditemukan permasalahan seperti kurangnya kontrol emosi, rendahnya disiplin, dan kurangnya kemampuan berkomunikasi serta mengambil keputusan di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, khususnya Pramuka. Di SD Negeri 3 Sawang, pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka menjadi peluang strategis untuk memperkuat keterampilan emosional siswa. Melalui berbagai aktivitas yang menyenangkan dan edukatif, siswa tidak hanya belajar tentang kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab, tetapi juga mengembangkan kemampuan mengelola emosi, membangun kepercayaan diri, serta meningkatkan kemampuan berinteraksi sosial. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berupa Sosialisasi Penguatan Keterampilan Emosional Siswa melalui Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka di SD Negeri 3 Sawang menunjukkan dampak yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan emosional, sosial, dan karakter siswa. Salah satu hasil utama yang terlihat adalah peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam mengelola emosi mereka. Selama kegiatan, siswa diberikan berbagai pengalaman yang memungkinkan mereka untuk mengenali dan merespons emosi secara positif. Mereka menjadi lebih mampu untuk menenangkan diri saat menghadapi rasa takut, marah, atau cemas, serta mengelola perasaan tersebut dalam situasi yang menantang, baik dalam konteks pribadi maupun dalam interaksi sosial dengan teman-temannya.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menguraikan implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter berbasis islami di Sekolah Dasar, (2) menguraikan kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasi nilainilai pendidikan karakter berbasis islami di Sekolah Dasar, (3) menguraikan upaya yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dan guru dalam meningkatakan implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter berbasis islami di Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Tempat atau lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SD Negeri 06 Juli Kabupaten Bireuen. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu: observasi, wawancara mendalam, studi dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: (1) implementasi nilai-nilai karakter berbasis islami di SD Negeri 06 Juli dilakukan melalui program-program sekolah, antara lain budaya 5S, berdoa sebelum dan sesudah belajar, kegiatan membaca asmaul husna, program yasinan setiap hari jumat, sedekah jumat, sholat dhuha dan memperingati hari-hari besar keagamaan, (2) dalam implementasi nilai-nilai karakter bebasis islami ada beberapa kendala yang dihadapi pada SD Negeri 06 Juli yaitu motivasi siswa yang rendah, siswa kurang percaya diri, adanya pengaruh IPTEK dan kurangya kerjasama pihak sekolah dengan orang tua, (3) Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pembentukan nilai-nilai karakter islami, ada beberapa upaya yang dilakukan oleh guru yaitu dengan melalui figur, melalui kegiatan intrakurikuler dan melalui pesan-pesan moral.

Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah keterbatasan kompetensi guru animasi di Kabupaten Bireuen yang sebagian besar berlatar belakang Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan, serta keterbatasan fasilitas digital. Dengan kondisi tersebut, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) melalui pelatihan desain karakter animasi berbasis kearifan lokal dan pendampingan penyusunan e-modul pembelajaran digital. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pengadaan sarana pendukung, pelatihan desain karakter animasi menggunakan Clip Studio Paint Pro, pendampingan penyusunan e-modul dengan Affinity Publisher, serta evaluasi melalui pretest dan posttest yang masing-masing terdiri dari 20 butir soal dan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan guru, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 8,29 menjadi 11,73. Guru juga berhasil menghasilkan e-modul digital yang memuat panduan teknis serta integrasi nilai budaya lokal. Program ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kompetensi pedagogik dan teknis guru SMK sekaligus memperkuat identitas budaya dalam pembelajaran digital.Abstract: The background of this activity lies in the limited competencies of animation teachers in Bireuen Regency, most of whom come from Computer and Network Engineering backgrounds, as well as the limited availability of digital facilities. In response to these conditions, this article aims to empower vocational school (SMK) teachers through training in local-wisdom-based animation character design and assistance in developing digital learning e-modules. The implementation methods include socialization, provision of supporting facilities, animation character design training using Clip Studio Paint Pro, assistance in e-module development with Affinity Publisher, and evaluation through pretests and posttests consisting of 20 items each and analyzed descriptively. The results show an improvement in teachers’ abilities, with the average score increasing from 8.29 to 11.73. Teachers also successfully produced digital e-modules containing technical guidelines and integration of local cultural values. This program contributes to enhancing the pedagogical and technical competencies of SMK teachers while strengthening cultural identity in digital learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ reading and writing skills through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The background of this research is based on the low level of students’ reading and writing skills, which are indicated by students’ lack of active participation in learning activities, difficulties in understanding reading texts, and limited ability to express ideas and thoughts in written form. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 32 students. Each cycle included the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observations of teacher and student activities, students’ worksheets (LKPD), and tests of reading and writing skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model led to a significant improvement in students’ reading and writing skills. In the first meeting, only 10 students (31.25%) showed improvement in reading and writing skills. In the second meeting, the number of students who showed improvement increased to 15 students (46.88%). Furthermore, in the third meeting (Cycle II), the improvement became more significant, with 24 students (75%) demonstrating improved reading and writing skills. In addition, students’ learning activities and the quality of teaching practices also improved in each cycle. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving students’ reading and writing skills. This learning model enhances students’ active participation, critical thinking skills, and accuracy in reading and writing activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of emotional intelligence and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in social studies. The research method used is quantitative research. The design in this study is correlation research, by looking at the existing variables, namely the correlation of two independent variables, namely emotional intelligence and student learning motivation and one dependent variable, namely student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the description as an illustration of the research design is to find out the perspective or a frame of reference and view a theory proposed in the research of hypothesis testing and to find out whether or not there is an influence between variables. The data collection technique used in this study was a planned interview with student respondents in the research area. While data that cannot be collected by interview, this study also uses observation techniques. The results of the study showed that the magnitude of the influence of emotional intelligence and learning motivation simultaneously (at the same time) on social studies learning outcomes can be seen from the results of the determination coefficient, which is 0.726. Thus, the magnitude of emotional intelligence and learning motivation simultaneously on social studies learning outcomes in elementary schools in Cluster 2, Pegasing District is 72.6%. However, for further research, it is recommended to expand the research object.

Abstract

The decline in physical activity among elementary school students has become a growing concern due to sedentary lifestyles and limited movement-based learning activities. In response, the Healthy School Movement Program encourages schools to promote students’ physical health through structured physical activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of traditional games within the GSS Program to improve students’ physical health at State Elementary School 2 Muara Dua, Lhokseumawe City. A descriptive qualitative case study approach was employed. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students, and were analyzed thematically using NVivo software. The findings reveal that traditional games such as gobak sodor and engklek effectively enhance students’ physical fitness, endurance, and activity levels. Supporting factors include strong teacher involvement, high student enthusiasm, and the availability of open spaces, while constraints consist of limited facilities, time constraints, and weather conditions. These challenges were addressed through flexible scheduling and adaptive use of school spaces. In conclusion, the integration of traditional games within the GSS Program is an effective and enjoyable strategy for improving physical health while simultaneously fostering character development and social interaction, thereby supporting a holistic healthy school environment rooted in local cultural values.
