Abstract

AbstractCommunity service activities began with the problem of limited S1 graduates in the Social Education field to continue their education to the postgraduate level in Aceh Province, especially in Bireuen Regency. The objectives of community service activities are 1) as a manifestation of the Tridarma of Higher Education lecturers in the Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Almuslim University, 2) to provide feedback on curriculum development by stakeholder needs before it is implemented. The implementation of community service activities was carried out at the Ampon Check Peusangan Hall, Almuslim University. The results of community service activities included stakeholders strongly supporting the sustainability of the Social Science Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Almuslim University in improving the quality of education in Aceh Province, especially Bireuen Regency. The service results were a curriculum draft for the Social Studies Education Study Program.AbstrakKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berawal dari permasalahan keterbatasan lulusan S1 Bidang Ilmu Pendidikan Sosial untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke tingkat S2 di Provinsi Aceh, terutama Kabupaten Bireuen. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah 1) Sebagai wujud Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dosen pada Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Almuslim, 2) Memberikan umpan balik tentang pengembangan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan stakeholder sebelum diimplementasikan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan di Gedung Aula Ampon Check Peusangan Universitas Almuslim. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain stakeholder sangat mendukung keberlanjutan Program Studi Magister Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Program Pascasarjana Universitas Almuslim dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Provinsi Aceh, khususnya Kabupaten Bireuen. Hasil pengabdian berupa draft kurikulum Program Studi Magister Pendidikan IPS.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of emotional intelligence and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in social studies. The research method used is quantitative research. The design in this study is correlation research, by looking at the existing variables, namely the correlation of two independent variables, namely emotional intelligence and student learning motivation and one dependent variable, namely student learning outcomes. Furthermore, the description as an illustration of the research design is to find out the perspective or a frame of reference and view a theory proposed in the research of hypothesis testing and to find out whether or not there is an influence between variables. The data collection technique used in this study was a planned interview with student respondents in the research area. While data that cannot be collected by interview, this study also uses observation techniques. The results of the study showed that the magnitude of the influence of emotional intelligence and learning motivation simultaneously (at the same time) on social studies learning outcomes can be seen from the results of the determination coefficient, which is 0.726. Thus, the magnitude of emotional intelligence and learning motivation simultaneously on social studies learning outcomes in elementary schools in Cluster 2, Pegasing District is 72.6%. However, for further research, it is recommended to expand the research object.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the reproduction of social inequality in public elementary school students. This type of research is qualitative research. The research was conducted at a public elementary school in Kuala District, Bireuen Regency. The informants of this research are school principals, teachers, education staff, and students. Data collection techniques include; observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of; 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) drawing conclusions. The research results show that; a) social inequalities that occur in the realm of elementary school education include; differences in the quality or competence of teachers, lack of concern for each other, differences in social status, lack of school facilities and infrastructure, b) the impact of social inequality, namely violating school rules, students often go in and out of class, students often do not attend school, skip classes during class hours, litter the class, cheat, fight, and bullying, c) The role of teachers and school principals in preventing social inequalities is to provide guidance for students, conduct social visits for school members who have been struck by disasters, increase teacher competence in collaborating with parents of students.

Abstract

This research describes the strategy for developing Kerawang Gayo crafts as a tourist attraction. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The research location is Bebesan District, Central Aceh Regency. The research informants were key informants, namely kerawang Gayo craftsmen. This research also uses the principles of documentation, inventory and tourism approaches. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display, and data reduction. The results of the research show that the strategy for developing Kerawang Gayo crafts can be carried out through: a) preserving the culture of kerawang Gayo crafts, b) utilizing Gayo kerawang crafts as a tourist attraction product, c) increasing public awareness of tourism, d) developing filigree craft centers Gayo as a tourist destination, e) developing the quality of craftsmen in the Gayo kerawang craft center, f) developing special interest tourism packages, g) collaborating with the government in providing tourism supporting infrastructure, and g) carrying out promotions through collaboration with various parties in including travel agencies, as well as h) tourism service providers

Abstract

The character problem of students is a problem that must be resolved in order to give birth to a generation of people who have good morals and character. The aim of this research is to explore the art of didong in forming the character of students at the Atu Lintang 7 Elementary School. This research is qualitative research using an ethnographic approach. The informants in this research were school principals, teachers and artists. The technique for taking informants uses snowball sampling technique. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques use domain analysis, componential analysis, taxonomic analysis and cultural theme analysis. To ensure the validity of the data, triangulation is used. The results of the research show that the formation of students' character through didong arts is carried out through extracurricular activities. Some of the character values ​​contained in Didong art are religious values, discipline values, mutual cooperation values, discipline values ​​and responsibility values.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the practicality of Pop-Up-Book edutainment learning media in Social Sciences Subjects. The type of research is Research & Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model. The development subjects in this research were class VII students of state junior high school 1 Matangkuli, North Aceh Regency. Data collection techniques use observation sheets, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses percentage analysis. The research results show that the practicality of Pop-Up-Book edutainment learning media is very practical. This can be seen based on the results of observations of learning activities, student learning activities, and the results of the Skills Process Assessment using the Edutaiment Pop-Up Book learning media.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the components of tourism development at the Museum Kota Juang Bireuen. The research method uses a qualitative approach. Sources of research data through Inventory activities and tourism approaches. The informants in this research are key informants, while the informants in this research are the managers of the museum Kota Juang Bireuen. The technique for taking research informants uses the snowball technique (Snowball Sampling). Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the Museum Kota Juang has attractiveness as a cultural tourist attraction. This can be seen from various kinds of historical heritage objects. Accessibility conditions to the museum are very good and easy to find because it is equipped with signage or alleys to indicate the location. The museum kota Juang is close to the center of Bireuen City so that the area can be found with various supporting facilities such as restaurants, banks, ATMs, clinics, religious facilities, supermarkets, traditional markets. The museum Kota Juang, which is located close to the city of Bireuen, has various accommodations ranging from guesthouses, homestays and hotels as accommodation for visitors.

Abstract

This research aims to describe; 1) the effect of using modules on student learning motivation,2) the effect of using modules on student learning outcomes, and 3) the effect of using modules on studentmotivation and learning outcomes. This type of research is quasi-experimental research using a quantitativeapproach. The subjects of this research were 22 students in class IV of Bebesen 1 State Elementary School.This research design uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques use observation,questionnaires and documentation. Simple linear regression analysis test analysis technique. The researchresults show that; a) there is a significant influence of the use of social science learning modules based onlocal Acehnese cultural wisdom on student learning motivation, b) there is a significant influence of the use of social science learning modules based on Acehnese local cultural wisdom on student learning outcomes, c)there is a significant influence use of social science learning modules based on Acehnese cultural wisdom onstudent motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to describe; a) the influence of using comic media on learning outcomes in integrated Social Sciences subjects, b) the influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes in Integrated Social Sciences subjects, c) the influence of using comic media and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in Science subjects Integrated Social Knowledge. This type of research is experimental research using a quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were 22 students of Class VII of Takengon 25 State Junior High School. This research design uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data collection techniques use observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques include the t-test and anova test. The research results show that: a) there is a significant influence of the use of comic media on student learning outcomes, where the value of Sig. for the (partial) influence of there is a significant influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes, where the Sig. for the (partial) influence of c) there is a significant influence of the use of comic media and learning motivation on student learning outcomes, where the value of Sig. for the (simultaneous) influence of X1 and X2) simultaneously on Learning Outcomes (Y).

Abstract

This research aims to describe; a) The influence of learning styles on student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences subjects, b) The influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences subjects, c) The influence of learning styles and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in subjects Social Science and Natural Sciences lessons. This type of research is quantitative research. The population and sample in this study were all 72 students in grades IV, V, VI of the Negri 15 Linge Elementary School, Central Aceh Regency. Data collection techniques use observation, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques use multiple linear regression test analysis. The research results show that; a) there is a significant influence of learning style on student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences subjects, where the Sig. for the (partial) influence of learning style on learning outcomes is 0.00 < 0.05 and the calculated t value is 5.210 > 1.994 so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted which means there is an influence of learning style (X1) on Learning Outcomes (Y). b) There is a significant influence between learning motivation on student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences subjects, where the Sig. for the (partial) influence of learning motivation on learning outcomes is 0.00 < 0.05 and the calculated t value is 3,199 > 1.99 so it can be concluded that H2 is accepted, which means there is an influence of learning motivation (X2) on learning outcomes (Y), c) There is a significant influence of learning style and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in Social Sciences and Natural Sciences subjects where, the Sig. for the (simultaneous) influence of learning style and learning motivation on learning outcomes is 0.00 < 0.05 and the calculated F value is 44.06> 3.13 so it can be concluded that H3 is accepted which means there is an influence of Learning Style (X1) and Learning Motivation ( X2) simultaneously on Learning Outcomes (Y)
