Abstract

This study investigates the influence of attractions and accessibility on visitor motivation at Lampuuk Beach, Aceh Besar, Indonesia. Lampuuk Beach, known for its pristine white sand and surf-friendly waves, has seen a significant decline in visitors, with numbers dropping from 57,205 in 2018 to 7,906 in 2022. This decline is attributed to factors including the COVID-19 pandemic, economic challenges, and insufficient tourism infrastructure. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, this research analyzes data collected through accidental sampling of visitors at Lampuuk Beach. The study employs regression and path analysis, with attractions and accessibility as independent variables and visitor motivation as the dependent variable. Results reveal that attractions and accessibility collectively explain 88% of the variance in visitor motivation, with direct effects of 27.56% and 21.65%, respectively. Additionally, an indirect effect of 21.84% highlights the synergistic relationship between these variables. The remaining 28.95% is influenced by unexamined factors such as service quality and promotional efforts. This study underscores the critical roles of attractions and accessibility in driving visitor motivation, emphasizing the need for strategic improvements in these areas. Enhanced attractions and accessibility can bolster Lampuuk Beach's competitiveness as a premier tourist destination, ensuring sustainable growth and visitor satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media with an economic basis and assess its validity and reliability. Using a developmental study approach or Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the study focuses on designing and validating e-comic-based learning media for elementary students. Data collection methods included observations, interviews with teachers and principals, documentation, and triangulation. The analysis employed both qualitative and quantitative techniques using SPSS version 29.0. The findings reveal that the e-comic learning media and its usage guidebook are valid and reliable. The e-comic achieved an average validity score of 4.129 (84%) with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.96, reflecting high inter-rater agreement. Similarly, the guidebook scored an average validity of 3.72 (83%) with a Cronbach's alpha of 0.90, demonstrating excellent reliability. These tools address students' low interest in traditional learning methods by offering an engaging and accessible medium aligned with curriculum standards. The media fosters critical thinking, literacy, and problem-solving skills while reducing students' reliance on gadgets for non-educational purposes. his study highlights the potential of e-comic media as an innovative solution for enhancing elementary education. Further study is recommended to explore its adaptability to other subjects and its long-term effects on learning outcomes.

Practicality and effectiveness were assessed using teacher and student feedback questionnaires. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in teachers' ability to design effective teaching materials, with high validation scores from experts. Social studies learning quality was enhanced through interactive features, fostering student engagement and critical thinking. Teachers and students rated the practicality of the teaching media highly, scoring 83% and 81%, respectively. Additionally, students' academic performance improved markedly, with average scores increasing from 68 ("sufficient") to 82 ("good"). The ADDIE framework enabled systematic development and iterative refinement, ensuring alignment with pedagogical goals. This study highlights the potential of combining structured instructional design models like ADDIE with innovative digital tools to improve educational outcomes. The studies provide a robust foundation for broader application in various subjects and educational contexts.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing students' decisions to pursue postgraduate education, specifically in the Social Sciences Education Study Program (PIPS) at Almuslim University. The primary focus is to identify the role of factors such as motivation for career advancement and educational costs in shaping students' decisions. The research design of this study was survey research using the exploratory approach and factors analysis. The subjects of the study were all students at Social Science Education of postgraduate Program at Almuslim University in period 2023.  The findings revealed that the drive to enhance competence and credibility to increase career opportunities is a key motivation for students to continue their education. Career advancement often serves as a significant motivator, especially since a postgraduate degree is frequently regarded as a critical requirement for higher positions. Additionally, the cost of education, both direct and indirect, is shown to be a crucial factor affecting students' decisions. Financial constraints often pose a barrier for those wishing to pursue further studies, although adequate financial support can alleviate such concerns. The study's findings imply the need to improve access to financial support, such as scholarships and education loans, as well as to strengthen policies that promote higher education as a criterion for career advancement. Recommendations are directed to the government and educational institutions to expand scholarship programs and educate students about the importance of postgraduate education for career development.
