Abstract

As the number of ruminants continues to increase from 2017 to 2021, especially ruminants in Southeast Aceh District, the need for forage for fodder must increase and the availability of feed throughout the year but the availability of forage is experiencing obstacles. The experiment was arranged according to a randomized block design with three replications. The study aims to obtain forage for the three varieties suitable for cultivation on abandoned land in Pulo Gadung Village, Darul Hasanah District, Aceh Teggara Regency. Study plot The first factor was the dose of manure (P) consisting of: P0 = 0 tons -1, P1 = 5 tons -1, P2 = 10 tons -1, and P3 = 15 tons -1. The second factor is the type of grass (R), which consists of: R1 = Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum L), R2 = Mini Elephant Grass (Pennisetum purpureum cv mott) and R3 = Setaria Grass (Sphacelata). Gajarh grass of Pennisetum purpureum L (R1) variety, which had more dominant number of shoots, plant height, and fresh weight compared to other treatments. Abstract

Mangroves plants such as Rhizophora apiculata are known to possess a diverse array of bioactive compounds with antioxidant and photoprotective properties. This study aimed to evaluate the anti-UV activity and bioactive composition of the ethyl acetate extract of R. apiculata leaves. The extraction was performed using the maceration method over 3 24 hours with ethyl acetate as the solvent. UV absorption was assessed using UV-Visible spectrophotometry, while compound identification was carried out through Gas ChromatographyMass Spectrometry (GC-MS). The extract exhibited significant UV absorption in the 290320 nm range, with Sun Protection Factor (SPF) values ranging from 2.5300.03 (low protection) to 37.0800.47 (high protection), indicating strong potential as a natural sunscreen agent. GC-MS analysis revealed several bioactive constituents, including lupeol, friedelan-3-one, cyclohexane-1,3,5-triphenyl, -tocopherol, and 1,3,5,7-cyclooctatetraenecompounds recognized for their UV-absorbing and antioxidant activities. The synergistic action of these phytochemicals is believed to contribute to the extracts overall photoprotective efficacy. Keywords:Rhizophora apiculataBioactive compoundsAnti-UVExtractEthyl Acetate

Abstract

The purpose of this literature review is to understand how to synthesize magnetite nanoparticle materials Fe₃O₄ using the coprecipitation method and to explore the utilization of magnetite nanoparticles as anti-cancer drugs. The data and/or information collected comes from both primary and secondary sources. Information regarding magnetite nanoparticles is limited to the last eight years, while information on cancer and human health is limited to the last ten years. In this study, the coprecipitation method used was surface adsorption at a molar ratio of 1:3 with the preparation of a 0.1 M solution consisting of ferrous (FeCl3.6H2O) and ferric (FeCl2.4H2O) ions with mechanical agitation at around 2000 rpm, heated at a temperature of 70°C, and stirring conditions increased up to 7500 rpm. The design of the anti-cancer drug preparation has bioavailability and biocompatibility within the human body. From the results of this literature review, it can be concluded that the synthesis of magnetite nanoparticles using the coprecipitation method can control the structural form and size of magnetite nanoparticles, and the drug will selectively attack cancer cells based on its cytotoxic properties.

Abstract

Indonesia is a middle economic country that has nutritional health problems with a fairly high prevalence in Asia. In Kuning II Village, Bambel District, Southeast Aceh Tenggara, stunting is still relatively common. Stunting is a condition that describes chronic malnutrition status during a child's growth and development. Stunting is important to handle because it concerns the quality of human resources. Stunting can also occur before birth and is caused by very poor nutritional intake during pregnancy, very poor parenting patterns, and low quality food.   Stunting Apart from that, society is not yet aware of stunted children as a problem, because stunted children in society are seen as children with normal activities. By looking at the problem, this program aims to provide information and knowledge to the community so they can prevent and overcome the problem of stunting. The results achieved in this activity are that participants have knowledge about: the meaning of stunting and its characteristics, the causes and impacts of stunting, and how to overcome it.
