Abstract

As the popularity of online gaming increases, stories of young people falling into obsessive cyberspace, experiencing moral decay, or even engaging in aggressive behavior are becoming more common. This research aims to find out the impact of online gaming habits on changes in the morals of teenagers according to parents, and what the solution is to this problem. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, data sources were taken using a set of interview protocols with ten informants consisting of five parents and five children, and the informants were selected using the purposive sampling technique. All interview results were then analyzed using the Milles and Huberman analysis technique. Overall, the research findings found five negative impacts of the habit of playing online games on adolescent morals, namely i) lying, ii) tending to be lazy, iii) being disobedient to parents, iv) selfish and v) being temperamental. The solutions that parents can take regarding this problem are i) controlling time for playing online games, ii) being firm in limiting time, iii) supervising teenagers, iv) spending time together. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the motivation of housewives in participating in the Alquran tahsin program in West Sumatra. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. In this study, researchers focused on discussing the motivation of housewives in participating in the tahsin program. Data sources were taken from twenty-five informants through in-depth interviews accompanied by documentation of activities. The informants were housewives who took part in the Quran tahsin program and two tahsin teachers. All interview results were then analyzed theoretically using software NVivo 12 qualitative analysis. The results of the analysis show that there are six motivations that come from within and outside the participants of the Alquran tahsin program. Housewives' intrinsic motivation can be seen from i) their own desire to be able to read the Alquran, ii) they feel they lack knowledge of the Quran, iii) they have never studied the Quran since childhood. Furthermore, the extrinsic motivation for housewives in participating in the Alquran tahsin program is: iv) the priority of people who are proficient in reading the Quran being gathered together with noble angels, v) being invited by friends, vi) learning methods that are easy for teachers to understand. This research has succeeded in revealing the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of housewives in participating in the Tahsin Alquran program. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Local wisdom is an integral part of a community's cultural identity, passed down from generation to generation. These values ​​play an important role in maintaining social harmony and strengthening the spirituality and morality of individuals in society. This research aims to analyze the religious and social values ​​of local wisdom culture in Indonesia. Local wisdom is an integral part of a community's cultural identity, passed down from generation to generation. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. this research examines how these values ​​are manifested in a series of rituals and celebrations of Tabuik, and how they support character and moral education in society. Data collection through observation, interviews with traditional leaders, religious leaders, and cultural actors Tabuik, as well as analysis of related documents. All data was analyzed using the Milles & Huberman interactive thematic analysis model technique. The research results show that culture Tabuik not only commemorates historical events in Islam but also functions as a medium for Islamic education that teaches the values ​​of patience, sacrifice, and brotherhood. Social values ​​such as cooperation and deliberation are also at the core of this cultural practice, strengthening family ties and encouraging active community participation in cultural preservation. This research confirms the importance of culture Tabuik as a culture of local wisdom in maintaining the religious and social identity of society in the modern era.

Abstract

Group counseling services play an important role in supporting individuals' psychological, social, and academic development, especially in the context of education and community. This article discusses the operational steps involved in implementing group counseling, examines how such services are applied in various countries, and explores the factors that influence their success. This study employs a Systematic Literature Review method using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines, a evidence-based reporting framework designed to enhance transparency and completeness in reporting systematic review and meta-analysis results. The review includes 25 selected scientific articles from national and international journals over the past ten years. The results of the literature review analysis indicate that the implementation of group counseling generally consists of six main stages: assessing participants' needs, planning sessions, forming groups, conducting sessions, evaluating the process, and follow-up. In a global context, the implementation of group counseling varies based on educational policies, culture, and professional readiness in each country. Countries such as the United States, South Korea, and Finland have developed systematic service models based on a collaborative approach, while developing countries face challenges related to resources, counselor training, and Countries such as the United States, South Korea, and Finland have developed systematic, collaborative service models, while developing countries face challenges related to resources, counselor training, and institutional structures. Factors influencing the success of implementation include counselor competence, participant engagement, institutional support, and adaptation to the local cultural context. Abstract

Social media has evolved into a strategic space for communicating socio-political issues to the younger generation. Visual communication design plays an important role in influencing audience engagement through the presentation of information that is concise, easy to understand, and aesthetically appealing. This study analyzed the effectiveness of visual communication strategies used by the Slow Factory Instagram account (@slowfactory) in raising issues such as the climate crisis, racial justice, colonialism, and sustainability. Using a qualitative approach through content analysis and visual observation, this study identifies that The Slow Factory can enhance the ability of young audiences to understand complex issues through structured and easily digestible visual narratives.
