Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai tambah dari produk keripik talas di Kelurahan Klasaman Kota Sorong. Lokasi ini dipilih secara sengaja (Purposive), dengan pertimbangan bahwa industri rumah tangga produk olahan keripik talas yang    terkenal di Kota Sorong dan sebagai pusat oleh-oleh bagi para wisatawan maupun para usaha dari luar Kota Sorong. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei - Oktober 2023. Penentuan responden rantai nilai dilakukan dengan teknik Snow Ball Sampling, kemudian penentuan responden konsumen menggunakan teknik Accidental Sampling dan jumlahnya ditentukan menggunakan Quota Sampling yakni hasil responden konsumen yang ditetapkan sebanyak 15 responden. Metode analisis yang digunakan ialah metode perhitungan nilai tambah dengan menggunakan metode hayami. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diambil dengan cara observasi dan wawancara langsung kepada industri rumah tangga. Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku literatur yang relevan dengan penelitian terdahulu maupun dari jurnal-jurnal.

Abstract

Increasing agricultural productivity in Eastern Indonesia, particularly in Aimas District, Sorong Regency, is a strategic step in supporting local food security and farmer welfare. Papua Farm, a pioneer in hydroponic lettuce cultivation in Papua, faces challenges such as limited water, climate fluctuations, and limited access to modern agricultural technology. A community service program titled "Optimizing Modern Agricultural Products through Drip Irrigation Systems at the Papua Farm Farmer Group, Aimas District, Southwest Papua" was implemented to address these challenges. The drip irrigation system was chosen because it can channel water and nutrients directly to the plant's root zone, reduce water loss due to evaporation, and increase fertilizer efficiency through fertigation. The program was implemented using a participatory approach through stages of socialization, training, demonstration plot installation, mentoring, and evaluation. Results showed a water use efficiency of up to 40%, a reduction in labor costs of Rp1,000,000 per season, and an increase in harvest productivity of around 25% with more uniform crop quality. In addition to technical aspects, this program also increases farmers' knowledge capacity, strengthens group institutions, and opens market opportunities through agribusiness digitalization. Thus, the application of the drip irrigation system has proven effective as a model of modern, sustainable agricultural technology and is worthy of being replicated in other areas with similar conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of entrepreneurs that influence success in running a business. Through a survey method involving 50 entrepreneurs, this study explores various characteristics, including self-confidence, risk-taking, hard work, innovation, independence, forward-looking orientation, responsiveness, management, networking, and strategic skills. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between entrepreneurial characteristics and business performance. The Spearman Rank correlation test indicates that strategy, networking, and management skills have a solid relationship, confirming the importance of these skills in supporting entrepreneurial success. Meanwhile, characteristics such as risk-taking and innovation show a weaker relationship with other traits, indicating that the context and situation of the individual influence these factors. This study provides insight into how various entrepreneurial characteristics interact with each other and contribute to business success. These findings are expected to be a reference for developing training and support programs for entrepreneurs and increasing understanding of the importance of skills development in the world of entrepreneurship. Thus, this study contributes to the entrepreneurship literature by highlighting the relationship between individual characteristics and successful business outcomes

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku industri kreatif dalam pengelolaan manajemen pemasaran yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan inovasi dan teknologi digital. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi oleh pelaku industri kreatif, khususnya UMKM, adalah keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam merancang strategi pemasaran yang efektif di era digital. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan ini melibatkan pelatihan, pendampingan, dan simulasi langsung penggunaan platform pemasaran digital, pengembangan konten kreatif, serta pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam meningkatkan jangkauan pasar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di [lokasi kegiatan] dengan melibatkan [jumlah] pelaku usaha kreatif lokal. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terhadap strategi pemasaran berbasis teknologi, seperti pemanfaatan media sosial, e-commerce, dan analisis tren pasar secara digital. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong lahirnya inovasi produk dan pendekatan pemasaran yang lebih relevan dengan kebutuhan konsumen masa kini. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara mendalam yang menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta merasa mengalami peningkatan kapasitas dalam manajemen pemasaran. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendorong transformasi digital industri kreatif lokal menuju daya saing yang lebih tinggi.
