Abstract

Maraknya kekerasan (perundungan), pelecehan seksual, dan intoleransi yang kerap menimpa peserta didik merupakan ancaman serius bagi pembentukan jati diri generasi bangsa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengupayakan pencegahan tiga dosa besar dalam pendidikan melalui sosialisasi kepada siswa-siswi Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Kajeksan, Kecamatan Tulangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk memperoleh gambaran mendalam mengenai kondisi nyata yang dihadapi siswa, termasuk pemahaman mereka tentang penyebab, dampak negatif, serta upaya pencegahan terhadap tiga dosa besar tersebut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa sudah mengenali tiga dosa besar dalam pendidikan, meskipun masih ada sebagian yang memerlukan pemahaman lebih lanjut dan pembiasaan secara intensif untuk benar-benar mampu menghindari perilaku negatif tersebut. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya sosialisasi berkelanjutan dalam membangun kesadaran siswa terhadap nilai-nilai positif dan mendorong terciptanya lingkungan pendidikan yang aman dan bermartabat. The rise of violence (bullying), sexual harassment, and intolerance that frequently befall students poses a serious threat to the formation of the identity of the nation's generation. This community service activity aims to analyze and prevent the three major sins in education through outreach to students of Madrasah Aliyah Darun Najah Kajeksan, Tulangan District. The method used is a qualitative case study approach to obtain an in-depth picture of the real conditions faced by students, including their understanding of the causes, negative impacts, and prevention efforts for the three major sins. The results of the activity indicate that most students already recognize the three major sins in education, although some still require further understanding and intensive habituation to truly be able to avoid these negative behaviors. These findings emphasize the importance of ongoing outreach in building students' awareness of positive values and encouraging the creation of a safe and dignified educational environment.

Abstract

Pemahaman mendengarkan sering kali disalahartikan sebagai aktivitas pasif, padahal sebenarnya merupakan proses yang dinamis dan membutuhkan keterlibatan kognitif yang tinggi. Berbagai penelitian menekankan pentingnya strategi kognitif dan metakognitif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak. Penelitian mengenai kemandirian belajar menunjukkan bahwa pembelajar yang berhasil adalah mereka yang secara aktif mengatur proses belajarnya, memantau kemajuan, serta memanfaatkan umpan balik dan sumber daya yang tersedia secara efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran (mixed-methods) dengan melibatkan 22 siswa yang dipilih secara acak dari kelas XI TKR di SMK Pasundan Subang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kombinasi pre-test dan post-test, kuesioner terstruktur, wawancara semi-terstruktur, serta observasi kelas. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif, termasuk uji t berpasangan (paired t-test) dan statistik deskriptif, serta analisis kualitatif melalui pendekatan tematik terhadap hasil wawancara dan observasi. Artikel ini membahas penerapan strategi kognitif dan metakognitif dalam pengajaran keterampilan menyimak bahasa kedua. Penulis berpendapat bahwa pendidik dapat membantu siswa menjadi pendengar yang lebih terampil dengan membekali mereka strategi seperti pengulangan, membuat ringkasan, dan bertanya pada diri sendiri. Teknik-teknik ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman, tetapi juga mendorong kemandirian belajar, di mana siswa lebih bertanggung jawab terhadap proses belajarnya. Pada akhirnya, strategi-strategi ini berkontribusi terhadap keterlibatan yang lebih bermakna dengan materi pembelajaran dan mendukung retensi serta penerapan keterampilan bahasa dalam berbagai konteks kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

The integration of technology has become a crucial component in language learning. It enables educators to conduct more engaging and efficient language instruction. Consequently, this study examines the effectiveness of the ELSA (English Language Speech Assistant) Speaking application in enhancing English pronunciation among junior high school students. The data were collected by using tests including pretest and posttest, and then they were analyzed quantitatively, this study using group pretest posttest design. Based on the result of tests, it was found that the value of significance is -4.159 less than the significance level that has been set (α = 0.05). in level of sigificant 005. It indicates that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted which means Elsa application is effective in improving students’ pronunciation. It is evident that ELSA Speak made it easier and more through for the students to pronounce a variety of words.  Additionally, the app's capabilities, such as its real-time feedback feature, helped the students pronounce words correctly.  Indeed, ELSA Speak can effectively and efficiently help students with their pronunciation.  In fact, it can encourage studetns to practice pronouncing words correctly. Therefore, to enrich the literature on teaching English, the researcher recommend that English teachers utilize various applications to enhance students’ proficiency in English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di lingkungan pesantren. Kecerdasan emosional merupakan aspek penting yang berperan dalam keberhasilan akademik, khususnya dalam konteks pesantren yang menekankan pembentukan karakter, kedisiplinan, dan pembelajaran holistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experiment) berupa pre-test post-test control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII di dua SMP yang berada di bawah naungan pesantren di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Satu kelas ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang mendapat perlakuan berupa pelatihan dan pembiasaan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional melalui kegiatan terstruktur seperti refleksi diri, diskusi empatik, dan pengelolaan emosi. Kelompok lainnya menjadi kelompok kontrol (siswa kelas VIII B) yang mengikuti pembelajaran seperti biasa tanpa perlakuan khusus. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mencakup angket kecerdasan emosional, tes prestasi belajar mata pelajaran inti serta dokumentasi akademik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan prestasi belajar yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen mengalami peningkatan skor rata-rata dari 68,2 menjadi 81,7, sementara kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 69,1 menjadi 73,5. Hasil uji t independen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi di bawah 0,05, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan kecerdasan emosional secara sistematis dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik siswa SMP di lingkungan pesantren. _________________________________________________________________________________ This study aims to examine the influence of emotional intelligence on the academic achievement of junior high school (SMP) students in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Emotional intelligence is a crucial factor in academic success, particularly in pesantren environments that emphasize character development, discipline, and holistic learning. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test control group format. The research subjects were eighth-grade students from two pesantren-based junior high schools in Sidoarjo Regency. One class was designated as the experimental group, receiving structured interventions to enhance emotional intelligence through activities such as self-reflection, empathetic discussions, and emotion regulation exercises. The other class served as the control group (grade VIII B students) and continued with standard learning without any special treatment. Instruments used in this study included an emotional intelligence questionnaire, academic achievement tests) in core subjects, and academic documentation. The analysis results revealed a significant difference in academic achievement improvement between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group’s average score increased from 68.2 to 81.7, while the control group’s score rose from 69.1 to 73.5. An independent t-test showed a significance value below 0.05, indicating that emotional intelligence had a statistically significant effect on student achievement. These findings suggest that systematically developing students’ emotional intelligence can be an effective strategy for improving academic outcomes in pesantren-based junior high schools.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Usaha Kecil, dan Usaha Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Kalanganyar berperan penting dalam ekonomi daerah dengan mengolah ikan bandeng. Namun, untuk mengoptimalkan usaha, perizinan dan sertifikasi halal sangat diperlukan. Rendahnya kesadaran UMKM akan sertifikasi halal disebabkan oleh kurangnya informasi dan pemahaman tentang proses pengajuannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D (Research and Development). Terdapat beberapa tahapan dalam penelitian ini yakni survei dan pendataan pemilik UMKM terkait Nomor Induk Berusaha dan Sertifikasi Halal di Desa Kalanganyar, serta sosialisasi pentingnya perizinan dan sertifikasi halal untuk meningkatkan nilai jual produk. Hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran UMKM tentang sertifikasi halal, memfasilitasi perizinan, dan meningkatkan kualitas produk, sehingga UMKM di Desa Kalanganyar dapat berkembang dan berkontribusi positif pada ekonomi daerah. Micro Enterprises, Small Enterprises, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kalanganyar Village play an important role in the regional economy by processing milkfish. However, to optimize business, halal permits, and certification is very necessary. The low awareness of MSMEs regarding halal certification is caused by a lack of information and understanding about the application process. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method. There are several stages in this research, namely surveying and collecting data on MSME owners regarding Business Identification Numbers and Halal Certification in Kalanganyar Village, as well as socializing the importance of halal licensing and certification to increase the selling value of products. The results of this research aim to increase MSME awareness about halal certification, facilitate licensing, and improve product quality so that MSMEs in Kalanganyar Village can develop and contribute positively to the regional economy.

Abstract

The complexity of the 21st century demands an active, interactive, and immersive approach to education. Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Huda Sedati (MTs Nuhati) strongly desires to facilitate such a learning process. To support this mission, we held a two-day training session for applying interactive digital narrative (IDN) media for multimodal, affective, and interactive learning at MTs Nuhati. The first day of the training session provided teachers with skills to design an educational IDN as an MS PowerPoint presentation, while the second day was a simulation of the in-class implementation of the teachers’ presentations. To support the teachers’s comprehension, we delivered a tutorial on educational IDNs based on their literature and also provided an interactive narrative design form, an interactive and narrative MS PowerPoint template, and an example of the template’s application to deliver a specific lesson. Quantitative data from questionnaires and qualitative data from a discussion and our observation prove that the training session has been successful, not only in building skills for creating and implementing educational INDs but also in motivating the teachers to keep learning about educational technology.
