Abstract

Background: Information literacy plays a vital role in supporting education, research, and informed decision-making in the digital era. In the context of ASEAN countries, the development and dissemination of research on information literacy contribute to regional knowledge-sharing and capacity building. However, comprehensive mapping of scholarly output on this subject in ASEAN remains limited, especially those indexed in global academic databases.Objective: This research aims to map and analyze scientific publications on the subject of information literacy in ASEAN countries indexed by the Lens database. The analysis focuses on co-occurrence and co-authorship networks using VOSviewer, as well as determining author productivity, publication trends, and institutional and national contributions to the development of information literacy scholarship.Methods: A bibliometric analysis approach was applied using data extracted from the Lens database. Microsoft Excel and VOSviewer software were utilized to clean the data and generate visualizations. Co-occurrence analysis was used to identify thematic trends, while co-authorship analysis revealed collaboration networks. The study also examined publication growth by country and institutional affiliation from 1998 to 2023.Results: A total of 504 articles related to information literacy were initially retrieved from the Lens database. After data cleaning, 469 relevant articles remained. Among the 10 ASEAN countries, only 6—Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam—have publications on this subject indexed in the Lens database. Key emerging topics in recent years include data collection techniques, information needs, documentation, public observation, communication, and human resources. Shaheen Majid emerged as both the most productive author and the one with the strongest collaboration network. The study shows a general upward trend in publication numbers over the 1998–2023 period.Conclusion: Scientific publications on information literacy in ASEAN countries have shown significant growth over the past two decades. Collaborative research networks among authors play an important role in enhancing productivity. These findings highlight the need for greater collaboration and capacity building across ASEAN member states to strengthen regional contributions to the field of information literacy.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the knowledge and capacity of Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) administrators regarding cash waqf as a sustainable alternative funding source for mosques. The training was held on June 20, 2025, at Jami’ YARSI Mosque, involving 18 participants representing mosques around YARSI University. The program employed lectures, interactive discussions, and evaluations through pre-test and post-test. The analysis results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding after the training, as evidenced by a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. Furthermore, participant evaluations showed highly positive responses to the relevance of the material, the competence of the speakers, and the adequacy of the facilities. Based on this success, the program will proceed to the mentoring stage for establishing a cash waqf nazhir institution, including obtaining official licensing from the Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) and collaborating with Islamic Financial Institutions authorized to receive cash waqf (LKS-PWU). The implementation of this follow-up stage is expected to realize financial independence for mosques and optimize their role as centers of community economic empowerment based on waqf, thereby providing sustainable benefits for the surrounding community.

Abstract

Masjid sebagai organisasi nirlaba memerlukan tata kelola keuangan yang akuntabel dan transparan untuk menjaga kepercayaan jamaah. Namun, berbagai studi menunjukkan bahwa banyak masjid belum menerapkan prinsip akuntansi secara memadai, sehingga pengelolaan keuangan masih lemah dan berpotensi menimbulkan fraud. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai respons terhadap kebutuhan pengurus masjid untuk meningkatkan literasi dan kapasitas pengelolaan keuangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) melalui kegiatan seminar dan pelatihan yang berfokus pada sepuluh indikator utama pengelolaan keuangan masjid. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test menggunakan skala Likert 1–5 untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata nilai awal 2,90 meningkat menjadi 4,32 atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 48,85%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan efektif dalam memperkuat kompetensi peserta terkait administrasi dan akuntansi keuangan masjid yang lebih modern, transparan, dan akuntabel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh adanya masalah ketidakakuratan informasi, plagiarisme, dan ketergantungan pada penggunaan Artificial Intelligence Gemini oleh mahasiswa Politeknik LP3I Jakarta dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi akademik menggunakan teori Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk (1) mengetahui tingkat pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa Politeknik LP3I Jakarta melalui penggunaan Artificial Intelligence Gemini, (2) mengukur hubungan antara penggunaan Artificial Intelligence Gemini dan pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dengan membagikan kuesioner tertutup skala Likert kepada 92 mahasiswa. Dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan AI Gemini berada dalam kategori yang tinggi, dengan rata-rata skor antara 3,07 hingga 3,30. Uji korelasi menghasilkan nilai 0,635 yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang kuat antara pemanfaatan AI Gemini dan terpenuhinya kebutuhan informasi.Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) pemanfaatan AI Gemini terbukti efektif dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa, (2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara frekuensi penggunaan AI dengan tercapainya pemenuhan kebutuhan informasi akademik.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pengurus Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid (DKM) dalam hal pengelolaan keuangan masjid yang akuntabel dan transparan. Pelatihan diadakan pada 20 Juni 2025 di Universitas YARSI dan diikuti oleh 18 peserta dari Masjid Jami’ YARSI serta masjid sekitar. Materi pelatihan meliputi indikator pemahaman keuangan masjid, mulai dari lembaga keuangan masjid hingga pelaporan keuangan. Pengukuran menggunakan pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan, dengan rata-rata peningkatan nilai dari 5 menjadi 9 (skala 10). Evaluasi peserta menunjukkan respon positif terhadap materi, narasumber, dan fasilitas pelatihan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal menuju sistem pengelolaan keuangan masjid yang lebih baik dan profesional.

Abstract

Permasalahan rendahnya literasi siswa di Indonesia memerlukan pendekatan pembelajaran alternatif yang lebih kreatif dan relevan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan budaya literasi siswa MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong melalui pelatihan menulis cerpen berbasis creative writing. Pelatihan mencakup penguatan konsep sastra, teknik penulisan cerpen, serta praktik menulis kreatif yang didampingi oleh pemateri. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pemahaman siswa, ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan nilai rata-rata dari 40,67 (pre-test) menjadi 62,33 (post-test), atau peningkatan sebesar 21,66%. Selain menghasilkan modul pelatihan, kegiatan ini juga memotivasi siswa untuk lebih aktif dalam kegiatan literasi dan menghasilkan modul penulisan cerpen sebagai luaran. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan sastra dan creative writing efektif digunakan untuk memperkuat budaya literasi di sekolah menengah.

Abstract

Libraries, as centers of relevant information, provide various types of collections that can be utilized by patrons, including fiction collections. Fiction collections in libraries not only serve to expand knowledge and increase reading interest but also serve as a source of entertainment. This highlights the role of libraries as a recreational resource for their users. Therefore, school libraries should provide fiction collections in addition to textbooks. The presence of fiction collections in school libraries is expected to encourage an increase in student visitation. This study aims to analyze the availability of fiction collections and the level of student visitation at Ksatrya 51 High School Library in Jakarta. This study employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data analysis involves descriptive statistics, including calculations of means, percentages, and frequency distributions using IBM SPSS version 22 software. Data were collected via a questionnaire distributed to 86 respondents using probability sampling, specifically simple random sampling. The results indicate a mutually supportive relationship between the availability of fiction collections and patrons’ interest in visiting the library, where diverse and high-quality collections can increase user interest, and are supported by a conducive library environment that reinforces the decision to visit.

Abstract

The issue of plagiarism in higher education has received slightly firmer attention from Indonesian citizens. Apart from the academic community, the government also sends scientific understanding to the educated. This study aims to analyze the level of similarity index of scientific papers of library and information science student journals in 2021-2022 using Turnitin software. This research applies quantitative research methods with a descriptive approach and uses data collection techniques in the form of documentation studies. The population in this study is the scientific journal work of PDSI students at YARSI University in 2021-2022. The sampling technique uses a total sample, namely by taking all existing data. The samples taken amounted to 60 objects. The results showed that the search sources in the scientific work of library and information science student journals in 2021-2022 were divided into three, namely internet sources, publications, and student papers. Based on the average calculation, there was an increase of 0.23% in 2021 as much as 24.15% to 24.38% in 2022, the results of the 2021 Analysis of Internet Source percentage 53.16%, publications percentage 25.61%, and student papers percentage 21.23%. Meanwhile, the results of the 2022 analysis, namely the internet source percentage of 47.77%, publications percentage of 25.79%, and student papers percentage of 26.44%, can be concluded that plagiarism in students has increased because the use of Turnitin software has not been utilized properly by students.
