Abstract

The background of this research is during the observation at the Semarang Tunggal Tirta club, which is faced with a speed of 50 meters per freestyle swim, which is still slow. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of push-up and hand paddle on the speed of 50 meters of freestyle swimming. The method employed in this study is a pre-experimental quantitative approach, utilising a two-group pretest and posttest design. The subjects in this study are Semarang Tunggal Tirta club athletes, a total of 15 people, with a sample of 10 people who met the results through the purposive sampling technique. This tool is used to train hand strength, such as push-ups and hand paddles. The push-up results data before and after the test convey a value of 17.13%, and the t-test will give a Sig2-Tail impact of 0.000/p< 0.05. The data of the hand paddle results before and after the test conveyed a value of 14.14%, and the t-test would occur, that would occur Sig2 tail of 0,000/p< 0.05. In this study, push-up and hand paddle exercises carried out at the Semarang single tirta club that most influenced the 50 m freestyle swimming speed were the push-up exercise with an increase of 17.13% although both of them increased the free travel performance of 50 meters, but the push-up training program was more effective than the hand paddle exercise.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana permainan Jumping Sticks memengaruhi kemajuan belajar siswa saat mempelajari bola voli, khususnya teknik passing bawah. Studi ini menguji perbandingan hasil belajar passing bawah antara siswa yang dilatih menggunakan Jumping Sticks dan mereka yang mengikuti cara belajar tradisional. Metode yang diterapkan adalah kuasi-eksperimental dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group. Subjeknya melibatkan 64 siswa SMP Negeri 4 Semarang, yang dibagi rata menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, masing-masing 32 orang. Alat pengukur berupa tes kemahiran passing bawah bola voli yang sudah melalui validasi. Pengolahan data meliputi analisis deskriptif, pemeriksaan normalitas dan homogenitas, plus uji hipotesis lewat independent samples t-test dengan penyesuaian Welch karena data tidak homogen. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mencatat kenaikan nilai rata-rata yang lebih tinggi ketimbang kelompok kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan signifikansi (p < 0,05), yang berarti ada perbedaan bermakna dalam capaian belajar kedua kelompok. Tambahan lagi, ukuran efek menurut Cohen’s d sebesar 1,88, yang masuk kategori efek sangat kuat, sehingga Jumping Sticks terbukti memberikan dampak praktis besar untuk mendongkrak prestasi siswa. Akhirnya, simpulan penelitian menyatakan bahwa penggunaan Jumping Sticks secara nyata memperbaiki hasil belajar passing bawah bola voli, sambil juga merangsang keterlibatan siswa dan menjadikan pembelajaran PJOK lebih efektif secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK) membutuhkan pendekatan yang efektif untuk membangkitkan motivasisiswa agar proses belajar berlangsung lancar. Aktivitas pemanasan berbentuk permainan adalah salah satu langkah yang dapat diambil. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menilai bagaimana aktivitas pemanasan berbasis permainan berdampak pada keinginan siswa untuk belajar PJOK di SMP Negeri 1 Kalinyamatan selama tahun akademik 2025–2026. Eksperimen semu, atau quasi-experiment, digunakan sebagai metode kuantitatif dalam penelitian ini. Grup kontrol pre-test dan post-test dibuat dengan cara ini. Dalam penelitian ini, 45 siswa dari kelas VIII dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: 22 siswa dalam kelompok eksperimen dan 23 siswa dalam kelompok kontrol. Alat pengukuran yang digunakan adalah kuesioner yang sudah divalidasi mengenai keinginan siswa untuk belajar. Pengolahan data melibatkan statistik deskriptif selain uji nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test dan Uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian secara deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa siswa di kelompok eksperimen merasa lebih termotivasi untuk belajar setelah melakukan aktivitas pemanasan berbasis permainan. Namun, tidak ada perbedaan signifikan dalam skor pretest dan posttest di kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol (p > 0,05). Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas berbasis permainan belum meningkatkan motivasi siswa untuk belajar secara statistik signifikan. Namun, mereka mungkin dapat membuat pembelajaran PJOK lebih seru dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

Permasalahan guru penjas SMK di Kabupaten Semarang pada tahun 2024 adalah kesulitan dalam meyusun modul ajar kurikulum merdeka dan tidak mengikuti program sekolah penggerak sehingga profil pelajar Pancasila menjadi sulit tercapai. Tujuan dari pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah MGMP PJOK SMK Kabupaten Semarang dapat mengetahui serta terampil dalam menyusun modul ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis adventure education. Sehingga, dalam menghadapi kurikulum dimasa yang akan datang kesiapan guru PJOK harus siap dalam menyusun perangkat ajar yang inovatif. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan Participatory Action Research dengan melakukan workshop dalam penyusunan modul ajar berbasis adventure education. Tahapan pelaksanaan disusun sebagai berikut: (1) Tahap analisis kebutuhan mitra; (2) Tahap persiapan; (3) Tahap Pelaksanaan; (4) Tahap evaluasi dan tindak lanjut. Berdasarkan hasil pendampingan pembuatan modul ajar berbasis adventure education yang dilaksanakan di MGMP PJOK SMK Kabupaten Semarang maka didapat kesimpulan para peserta pengabdian mampu menyusun perangkat ajar kurikulum merdeka berbasis adventure education. Para peserta dapat menyusun dengan sistematis serta mengetahui dasar-dasar dari penyusunan perangkat ajar tersebut. Peserta antusias dalam mengikuti pendampingan penyusunan perangkat ajar dalam hal ini adalah modul ajar berbasis adventure education yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dan membentuk karakter.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the level of student interest in futsal extracurricular activities at SMP Institut Inonesia, specifically examining diffeences based on gender and across grade levels VII, VIII, and IX. Using a descriptive quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey desaign, the research involved 214 students selected through random sampling from a total population of 459 students. Data were collected using a validated 20-item likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, the Chi-Square Test of Independence for gender comparison, and ANOVA for grade-level comparison. The results showed that students generally had a high level of interest in futsal extracurricular activities, with 73.4% indicating positive interest (57.5% high and 15.9% very high). A significant difference in interest was found between male and female students, with male students showing higher interest than female students. However, no significant differences were found among grade levels VII, VIII, and IX, indicating that students' interest in futsal extracurricular activities was relatively consistent across grade levels.

Abstract

Differences in learning motivation, movement comfort, and learning outcomes of floor gymnastics between male and female students are challenges in physical education activities. This phenomenon indicates that gender factors influence students' psychomotor and psychological readiness, so a learning model that can create equal interactions is needed. This study aims to analyze the impact of gender-inclusive learning on learning motivation, movement comfort, and learning outcomes of grade IX students at SMP Institut Indonesia Semarang using a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design consisting of a control group with non-inclusive learning and an experimental group with gender-inclusive learning. The intervention was implemented over three meetings, with 2 treatments given to each group. This study involved 48 students consisting of 23 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class. comes from one school so that the generalization of the findings is limited. The research instruments were the ARCS model learning motivation questionnaire, the PACES-18 movement comfort questionnaire, and the floor gymnastics learning outcome test. Significant results indicated an increase in the experimental class group with learning motivation scores (70.22 → 83.78), movement comfort (12.39 → 17.39), and learning outcomes (12.65 → 17.91). Statistical tests showed that the independent t-test analysis of the learning motivation posttest variable showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the Mann–Whitney U test for movement comfort posttest showed a significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the learning outcomes posttest showed a significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05). These findings confirm that gender-inclusive learning provides significant improvements in all three variables, thus recommending it as an effective learning strategy for floor gymnastics.

Abstract

Smashing is an important technique in volleyball. However, the accuracy of smashing remains a challenge for students in volleyball extracurricular activities. Muscle strength plays an important role in improving volleyball smashing skills. For this reason, core rotation plyometric exercises were chosen to improve smashing accuracy because they can increase muscle power. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design, using an experimental group and a control group as a comparison. This study was conducted at MTS Sultan Fattah Gaji with a population of 8 students participating in volleyball extracurricular activities. The research sample used purposive sampling. The training program was conducted for 4 weeks with 3 meetings per week. Data were collected using the Smash Attack Test instrument and analyzed using a t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study concluded that there was no significant effect of core rotation plyometric training on the accuracy of volleyball smashes, with a mean value of -3.250, a t-value of -2.030, and a p-value of 0.135. Thus, p = 0.135 > 0.05, so H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. Although there was an improvement from the pretest to the posttest, it was not strong enough to indicate a significant difference

Abstract

Background: Despite the growing use of gymnastics programmes in early childhood education, most studies emphasise implementation and outcomes rather than the systematic development and rigorous validation of programme content. As a result, many programmes may be applied without sufficient empirical evidence of their appropriateness, limiting their effectiveness in promoting gross motor skill development. Objectives: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the content validity of a structured gymnastics programme designed to enhance gross motor skills in preschool children. Methods: This study employed a research and development (R&D) approach focusing on the content validation stage. The programme was evaluated by five expert validators with backgrounds in early childhood education, physical education, and children’s gymnastics. Content validity was assessed using Aiken’s V index based on expert ratings. Results: The findings indicated that all components of the developed programme achieved Aiken’s V values ranging from 0.80 to 1.00, demonstrating a high level of agreement among experts regarding the relevance, clarity, and appropriateness of the programme content. Conclusion: The results suggest that the developed gymnastics programme has strong content validity and is suitable for supporting gross motor skill development in preschool children. This study contributes by providing a systematically developed and empirically validated programme for early childhood physical education.

Abstract

Some of the beginner athletes in UKM of court tennis in UPGRIS conduct swing on the forehand, striking slightly. Some when swinging with entirely straight arms, some are slightly bent. The study aims to investigate the differences between elbow extension and elbow flexion toward the accuracy level of forehand striking of court tennis. This research method uses a comparative design. The sample of this study is the tennis players of the students in PGRI University Semarang; the total is 7 people. The Hewitt Tennis Achievement Test is used for forehand striking instruments and dartfish software to determine the differences between the elbow movements and the analysis. An Independent t-test is used to find out the differences of the striking accuracy result. The results show the significant differences between elbow extension and elbow flexion with an average score of 22 and 63, with the significance value of a difference of 0.001. The conclusion is elbow flexion movement in the forwardswing step is better than elbow extension movement.
