Abstract

This community service program studies the application of Internet of Things-based kumbung temperature and humidity regulation technology for kumbung in the cultivation of white oyster mushrooms in Tasiwalie Village, Pinrang Regency. The aim is to stimulate oyster mushroom cultivation groups to adopt modern technology to increase productivity and economic demand. This method involves a deep understanding of needs groups and the exploration of effective technology solutions. The results show that this technology drives positive changes in cultivation practices, increasing productivity and economic prosperity. With a focus on sustainability, the application of this technology provides long-term benefits for cultivation groups. The implication is that investment in this technology can be a strategy for developing the white oyster mushroom cultivation sector and make a positive contribution to the local economy.

Abstract

Green Chemistry (GC) is an issue that is very relevant to chemistry subjects in senior high schools. Chemistry subject is closely related to the environment as one of the pillars of sustainable development. This certainly contributes to the possibility integration of green chemistry principles into chemistry learning. This exploratory research aims to describe the principles of GC that allow it to be integrated into chemistry learning in grades X and XI; describes the high school teacher's and students' perceptions and understanding of GC and its principles in chemistry  learning. The subjects in this study were 230 students who were selected purposively from five Senior high schools. Totally 40 chemistry teachers were purposively used as research subjects from a number of high schools throughout South Sulawesi. The instrument used was ten items of teacher's perception questionnaires, while the students' perception questionnaire consisted of twelve items. Guidelines for interviewing teachers and students were used to describe more deeply about their understanding of GC. All instruments have been validated by two experts. The results of the exploration of material elements for phases E and F show that five GC principles can be integrated into learning chemistry. In general, the teacher's perception of GC is good, which assumes that GC is an environmentally friendly concept. Understanding of the five principles of GC for students and teachers is in the moderate and poor categories. This shows the importance of integrating GC principles in the form of positive habits in chemistry learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills of chemistry students through a problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on acid-base titration material. The method used is analytical descriptive research based on categorizing critical thinking skills with the research subject of chemistry education students in a regular class in 2022, consisting of 35 students. Data collection of critical thinking skills using essay tests reveals critical thinking skills in interpretation, analysis, inference, deduction, and evaluation. Research data were obtained from pretest and post-test results. The results showed the lowest N-gain value on the interpretation indicator and the highest on the deduction indicator, with an average N-gain value of 0.59 in the moderate category. This shows increased critical thinking skills after being treated using the PBL learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran dasar boga berbasis project based learning (PBL) yang dapat meningkatkan soft skill mahasiswa. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan mengetahui kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian pengembangan.Diadopsi dengan model Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel(1974). melalui empat tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (development) dan tahap penyebaran (disseminate). Subyek penelitian ini adalah Dosen pengampu mata kuliah Dasar Boga berjumlah 4 orang dan mahasiswa jurusan Tata Boga sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tes, non tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian tahap define telah menghasilkan fakta bahwa Pembelajaran pada mata kuliah dasar boga hasilnya belum maksimal sebagaimana diharapkan disebabkan penggunaan perangkat pembelajaran yang kurang tepat, dan model pembelajaran masih konvensional. Hasil penelitian selanjutnya telah dilaksanakan tahapan pengembangan/ desain, dan develop kemudian diperoleh perangkat pembelajaran yang valid, efektif dan praktis dan berdasarkan hasil validasi oleh pakar/ahli dan hasil ujicoba diperoleh hasil dengan tingkat kevalidan 3,5.
