Abstract

Adolescents in Tasikalaya District show a tendency to be susceptible to Tramadol protection, a type of opioid analgesic commonly used to reduce moderate to severe pain. This phenomenon is a resource for the medical community, health practitioners, local governments and other related parties. Serious attention is needed to this problem to prevent negative impacts on the health and welfare of adolescents in the region. Coordinative efforts between the health, education and government sectors need to be strengthened to develop effective prevention and intervention strategies. A deep understanding of the factors driving Tramadol is key in designing appropriate preventive measures. This research examines the use of the drug tramadol among teenagers in Tasikalaya Regency using a qualitative approach and Differential Association Theory. The results of the study showed that adolescents' support for tramadol was caused by social and environmental factors, including interactions with peers and family members who also used the drug. Teenagers often rationalize their behavior and have certain attitudes that influence their decision to take tramadol. Apart from that, the easy availability of tramadol medication and affordable prices also influences teenagers' choices. This study provides a deeper understanding of the problem of tramadol among adolescents and suggests comprehensive preventive measures.

Abstract

The implementation of restorative justice in Indonesia’s juvenile criminal justice system has become a significant paradigm shift aimed at prioritizing the best interests of the child. Through Law Number 11 of 2012 on the Juvenile Criminal Justice System (UU SPPA) and Supreme Court Regulation Number 4 of 2014, diversion is emphasized as an alternative to formal prosecution. This study analyzes the legal framework, implementation practices, challenges, and opportunities of restorative justice in resolving juvenile cases in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with juridical-normative and sociological-empirical methods, data were collected through literature review, in-depth interviews, and participant observations in Jakarta, Bandung, and Yogyakarta. Findings reveal that while restorative justice has legal support and cultural alignment with local values of deliberation and mutual cooperation, its implementation faces obstacles. These include inconsistent application by law enforcement officers, lack of specialized training, limited supporting facilities, and societal stigma toward child offenders. Active family and community involvement are identified as critical factors for successful reintegration, yet negative perceptions hinder effective restorative processes. The absence of systematic evaluation and monitoring further impedes sustainable implementation. This study recommends strengthening capacity building for law enforcement, increasing public education, enhancing infrastructure and facilities, and establishing structured evaluation mechanisms. Through collaborative efforts among stakeholders, restorative justice can be optimized as a humane and effective approach to rehabilitating juvenile offenders and fostering their reintegration into society.

Abstract

In the digital age, communication has become increasingly shaped by algorithmic systems that structure interaction, visibility, and persuasion across online platforms. This literature review explores the convergence of digital rhetoric and algorithmic ethics to understand how meaning-making and moral agency are co-constructed in contemporary digital environments. Digital rhetoric, concerned with how persuasion operates in multimodal and interactive contexts, now intersects with algorithmic processes that govern content distribution and user engagement. Simultaneously, the rise of algorithmic ethics addresses the sociotechnical implications of bias, opacity, and accountability embedded in machine-driven communication infrastructures. Through a qualitative synthesis of recent scholarship, this study identifies four core themes: algorithmic persuasion, content visibility and bias, platform governance, and ethical resistance. The findings show that algorithms are no longer neutral tools but rhetorical actors that influence how narratives are constructed and circulated. Moreover, the literature highlights growing concerns about fairness, transparency, and user autonomy, especially in the realms of political discourse, media consumption, and educational technologies. The study concludes that navigating digital communication today demands both rhetorical literacy and ethical sensitivity. A deeper understanding of how algorithmic systems persuade, exclude, or amplify certain voices is vital for promoting equitable and informed public discourse. This review contributes to a critical framework that connects digital rhetoric and algorithmic ethics, offering insights into the rhetorical and moral complexities of our algorithmically mediated world.

Abstract

The Indonesian government implemented the policy of increasing vaccination and testing of Covid-19 for travel from or to the Java and Bali Islands to reduce the Covid-19 projected spread in there. As participation in these efforts, this study aims to project the Covid-19 spread measured by the active case rates by involving the intervention of vaccination and testing of Covid-19 in the two islands. Projections are performed using a vector of autoregression integrated with the exogenous variables (VARI-X) model. This model is used because it can simultaneously project the Covid-19 spread in the two islands by involving interventions of vaccination and testing of Covid-19 as exogenous variables. The most suitable model obtained is VARI-X (4, 2, 0). The mean-absolute-percentage error (MAPE) of the model for the Java and Bali Islands is 5.3027% and 3.0301%, respectively. Based on the MAPE value, the model is very accurate for projecting the future Covid-19 spread on the two islands. This accuracy can be seen practically from the Covid-19 spread projection results in the next four days, which are very close to the actual data. This research is expected to help the Indonesian government project the spread of Covid-19 on the Java and Bali Islands.

Abstract

Insurance is a contractual agreement between two parties, namely the insured party (customer) and the insurer (insurance company), in which the insured party pays a premium to the insurer, then in return, the insurer will provide compensation (claim) to the insured party if an insured event occurs. Each customer is required to pay a premium as an obligation stated in the insurance agreement by paying a premium, the customer fulfills his obligations and is entitled to the benefits stated in the policy. Therefore, the Insurance Company needs to carry out a scheme in the process of paying pure premiums for the sustainability of the insurance company. When determining the premium, it is done by estimating the aggregate loss distribution. This research will calculate thepure premium at the Purwakarta Branch of Jasa Raharja Insurance Company. The model used in this study is the distribution of aggregate loss with a compound distribution of claim frequency and claim size. Many claims follow the Poisson distribution and large claims follow the Lognormal distribution. In the process of estimating the probability of aggregate loss with the compound distribution model, the Inverse method with the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm is used. This research will provide understanding and insight to insurance companies in determining the amount of premium that must be charged to customers.

Abstract

The increasing use of cryptocurrencies has changed the dynamics of investment, presenting both opportunities and challenges for investors. Although various studies have compared the performance of Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) in predicting financial asset prices, there are still differences in results regarding which model is superior. Therefore, this study aims to compare the performance of LSTM and GRU in predicting Ethereum prices using a hyperparameter tuning approach. The data used is historical data of Ethereum (ETH) shares from 2020 to 2025. The research methodology includes data preprocessing using Min-Max scaling, model development with various layer configurations, and comprehensive evaluation using several performance metrics. The results show that the GRU Model provides superior performance with a lower Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 0.0234 and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.0168, compared to LSTM's RMSE of 0.0265 and MAE of 0.0193. While LSTM exhibits a slightly better Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 18.08% compared to GRU at 18.17%, the GRU model achieves a higher R² Score of 0.9442 compared to LSTM at 0.9282. Visual analysis of the prediction patterns and residual distributions further demonstrates GRU’s more consistent and accurate performance in capturing Ethereum price movements. These findings suggest that while both models are effective for cryptocurrency price prediction, GRU offers slightly better overall performance and stability, especially in maintaining consistent prediction accuracy across different market conditions.
